help!

"Then since you say the donkey helps you not,
You lift him up and carry him in turn."

flying

air
holding my weight
filling my lungs
pulling my hair
cooling my face
drying my eyes
carrying me there

vision

"We are like dwarfs sitting on the shoulders of giants. We see more, and things that are more distant, than they did, not because our sight is superior or because we are taller than they, but because they raise us up, and by their great stature add to ours."

John of Salisbury (The Metalogicon, 1159ac)

dreams and butterflies

I Dreamt I Was a Butterfly

One day about sunset, Zhuangzi dozed off and dreamed that he turned into a butterfly.

He flapped his wings and sure enough he was a butterfly...

What a joyfull feeling as he fluttered about, he completely forgot that he was Zhuangzi.

Soon though, he realized that that proud butterfly was really Zhuangzi who dreamed he was a butterfly, or was it a butterfly who dreamed he was Zhuangzi!

Maybe Zhuangzi was the butterfly, and maybe the butterfly was Zhungzi? This is what is menat by the "transformation of things."

Zhuang Zi (369-286 b.c.)

why i like ancient texts

"Somebody who only reads newspapers and at best books of contemporary authors looks to me like an extremely near-sighted person who scorns eyeglasses. He is completely dependent on the prejudices and fashions of his times, since he never gets to see or hear anything else. And what a person thinks on his own without being stimulated by the thoughts and experiences of other people is even in the best case rather paltry and monotonous. There are only a few enlightened people with a lucid mind and style and with good taste within a century. What has been preserved of their work belongs among the most precious possessions of mankind. We owe it to a few writers of antiquity (Plato, Aristotle, etc.) that the people in the Middle Ages could slowly extricate themselves from the superstitions and ignorance that had darkened life for more than half a millennium. Nothing is more needed to overcome the modernist's snobbishness. "

contour

a slow finger, barely touching your forehead, sliding down to your eyelids, first one and then the other and then down your nose, dropping down your cheek looking for the tenderness of your lips. you wan to trap it but it evades your mouth and traces your chin, entering the long and white curve of yourneck. It wastes time at your collarbone close to your breasts but not yet, making you wait, rejoycing in the smoothness of your skin as it draws concentric circles toward your niple and then stays there, just present, not moving. it caresses the bottom of your breast, ever down to the depth of your belly button, it explores, probes, but soon dares walk the curve of your belly down , down, down...

Raincloud

There ain't no point holding back the tide
Still gonna get yer
Cos every little bird's got to learn to fly, sooner or later
I don't wanna lose you
Can't always do what you wanna do.

There's ain't no point holding back the tide
Don't waste you're time
Cos everything is out there
And there's no limits out there
We could be reaching out for anything if we try enough

Chorus:
Let the daylight end
On a better day
It's been too long waiting, baby
Under a raincloud
Let the daylight end
On a better day
It's been too long waiting, baby
Under a raincloud

There ain't no point holding back desire
Still gonna get yer
Strangers on a train driving through the night, soon overtakes yer
If someone feels the same as you.
Might as well just do what you wanna do

There ain't no point holding back desire
Don't waste your time
Cos everything is out there
And there's no limits out there
We could be reaching out for anything if we try enough

Cos everything is out there
And there's no limits out there
We could be reaching out for anything if we try enough
Let the daylight end, on a better day
It's been too long waiting, baby
Under a raincloud
