Whatever else you may say (or want to-haha) about this guy, you gotta give him some props for being a guerilla style progressive edukator-burning us all CD's, printing out flyers, hosting again and again our political discussion group at his house (and thanks to Natalie, Eric and Brent for that too!) moderating the VISSA website, spreading the word about biodiesel, lending us his books, and exposing us to the contagious germ of his own undying enthusiasm for sustainability and community. And for being a facilitator of enlightenment in other ways... : )

Ryan LaPorte can be infuriatingly smug, mind bogglingly pontificatingly pedantic, subverted, reverted, perverted and a downright rude, smelly 2-years old in his head male-haha...and then he trips me out further by being such a supportive friend, a good listener, and giving compassionate, intelligent advice, all the while having a great sense of humor about it...you gotta love this guy, even if he is a totalitarian-minded mad scientist!

I'm not going to say anything nice in protest, that's right protest. Ok mebbe one thing, glad you could be at the gathering. Must have been entertaining.

teachers and leaders are two different things. I have always thought of tribal "leaders" (ie - shamans) as teachers.
