The war in Iraq, terrorist bombings, environmental issues, religious and social issues … How do we as a society tackle theses difficult issues? This country has a great tradition of people struggling for what's right; The revolutionary war, the civil war, the women's rights movement, the civil rights movement, the anti war movement … It is in these troubled times that we must once again struggle for what is right. In recent years our society has become increasingly polarized … and for good reason; we stand at the brink of an ideological war. It's not the first, and it won't be the last; Left vs. Right, young vs. old, the have's vs. the have-not's, Catholic and Evangelical vs. Gnostic, White's vs. everybody else. U.S. foreign policy has repeatedly found itself at odds with the majority of the world. This is nothing new, but under the current administration, things have gotten quite bad. In "the land of the free" we have a "leader" who's been increasingly acting like a dictator! At least we know that in November '08 this dictator will have to step down (if he's not impeached first!) The American people have been so brainwashed. They cannot see the truth. The truth is beyond most people's comprehension. Until recently it was beyond mine. A lot can be learned from our history, but we need to try to look at history from all possible sides. It has been said that "History is told by the victor." Let's start with WWII, the largest war the world has ever seen. We were told that the attack on Pearl Harbor was "unprovoked". Actually nothing could be further from the truth. Even if the attack was "unprovoked", which we will get into later, when you go further back in history you will see how the Japanese would have had good reason to hold resentment for, and be upset with the United States of America. Japan was a sovereign, independent nation closed to most outsiders and resistant to foreign influence. It was only by force that they were left with no choice but to open themselves to trade or face a full-scale invasion from the United States. The year was 1853 when United States Commodore Matthew Perry arrived off Japan's shores with four ships and 200 men. He forced the shogun to sign a treaty opening themselves to trade with the U.S. The Japanese referred to them as the "Black Ships" because of the color of their sails and the smoke coming from the coal powered ships. Threatening a sovereign nation with war when they are just minding their own business is not a nice thing to do, and would naturally cause some resentment. I'm sure that's just the beginning of a long list of things the U.S. did to Japan to cause resentment prior to Pearl Harbor. In particular, it refers to Mississippi, Plymouth, Saratoga, and Susquehanna, that arrived in 1853 at Uraga Harbor (part of present-day Yokosuka) in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan under the command of United States Commodore Matthew Perry. The word "black" refers to the black color of the older sailing vessels, and the black smoke from the coal-fired power plants of the American ships. Commodore Perry's superior military force enabled him to negotiate a treaty allowing American trade with Japan, ending a 200-year period in which trading with Japan was only allowed to the Dutch, Chinese and a few other small groups. However, there is an alternate translation, based on the pivot words. Taihei can refer to the "Pacific Ocean" (??); jokisen also means "steam-powered ships" (???); and shihai also means "four vessels". The poem, therefore, has a hidden meaning: The steam-powered ships break the halcyon slumber of the Pacific; a mere four boats are enough to make us lose sleep at night." Let's jump forward to Peal Harbor. The year was 1940. Europe was embroiled in war beginning with Hitler's invasion of Poland in 1939. The American people "On October 7, 1940, Lieutenant Commander Arthur McCollum of the Office of Naval Intelligence submitted a memo to Navy Captains Walter Anderson and Dudley Knox. Captains Anderson and Knox were two of President Roosevelt's most trusted military advisors. President Roosevelt, over the course of 1941, implemented all 8 of the recommendations contained in the McCollum memo. Following the eighth provocation, Japan attacked. This information was sent to the State Department and Naval Intelligence and to Admiral Kimmel at Hawaii. 31 March 1941 - A Navy report by Bellinger and Martin predicted that if Japan made war on the US, they would strike Pearl Harbor without warning at dawn with aircraft from a maximum of 6 carriers. For years Navy planners had assumed that Japan, on the outbreak of war, would strike the American fleet wherever it was. The fleet was the only threat to Japan's plans. Logically, Japan couldn't engage in any major operation with the American fleet on its flank. The strategic options for the Japanese were not unlimited. 10 July - US Military Attache Smith-Hutton at Tokyo reported Japanese Navy secretly practicing aircraft torpedo attacks against capital ships in Ariake Bay. The bay closely resembles Pearl Harbor. July - The US Military Attache in Mexico forwarded a report that the Japanese were constructing special small submarines for attacking the American fleet in Pearl Harbor, and that a training program then under way included towing them from Japan to positions off the Hawaiian Islands, where they practiced surfacing and submerging. 10 August 1941, the top British agent, code named "Tricycle", Dusko Popov, told the FBI of the planned attack on Pearl Harbor and that it would be soon. The FBI told him that his information was "too precise, too complete to be believed. The questionnaire plus the other information you brought spell out in detail exactly where, when, how, and by whom we are to be attacked. If anything, it sounds like a trap." He also reported that a senior Japanese naval person had gone to Taranto to collect all secret data on the attack there and that it was of utmost importance to them. The info was given to Naval IQ. Early in the Fall, Kilsoo Haan, an agent for the Sino-Korean People's League, told Eric Severeid of CBS that the Korean underground in Korea and Japan had positive proof that the Japanese were going to attack Pearl Harbor before Christmas. Among other things, one Korean had actually seen the plans. In late October, Haan finally convinced US Senator Guy Gillette that the Japanese were planning to attack in December or January. Gillette alerted the State Department, Army and Navy Intelligence and FDR personally. 24 September 1941, the " bomb plot" message in J-19 code from Japan Naval Intelligence to Japan' s consul general in Honolulu requesting grid of exact locations of ships pinpointed for the benefit of bombardiers and torpedo pilots was deciphered. There was no reason to know the EXACT location of ships in harbor, unless to attack them - it was a dead giveaway. Chief of War Plans Turner and Chief of Naval Operations Stark repeatedly kept it and warnings based on it prepared by Safford and others from being passed to Hawaii. The chief of Naval Intelligence Captain Kirk was replaced because he insisted on warning HI. It was lack of information like this that lead to the exoneration of the Hawaii commanders and the blaming of Washington for unpreparedness for the attack by the Army Board and Navy Court. At no time did the Japanese ever ask for a similar bomb plot for any other American military installation. Why the Roosevelt administration allowed flagrant Japanese spying on PH has never been explained, but they blocked 2 Congressional investigations in the fall of 1941 to allow it to continue. The bomb plots were addressed to "Chief of 3rd Bureau, Naval General Staff", marked Secret Intelligence message, and given special serial numbers, so their significance couldn't be missed. There were about 95 ships in port. The text was: ..> President Roosevelt (FDR) provoked the attack, knew about it in advance and covered up his failure to warn the Hawaiian commanders. FDR needed the attack to sucker Hitler to declare war, since the public and Congress were overwhelmingly against entering the war in Europe. It was his backdoor to war. FDR blinded the commanders at Pearl Harbor and set them up by - denying intelligence to Hawaii (HI) on Nov 27, misleading the commanders into thinking negotiations with Japan were continuing to prevent them from realizing the war was on having false information sent to HI about the location of the Japanese carrier fleet. BACKGROUND 1904 - The Japanese destroyed the Russian navy in a surprise attack in undeclared war. 1932 - In The Grand Joint Army Navy Exercises the attacker, Admiral Yarnell, attacked with 152 planes a half-hour before dawn 40 miles NE of Kahuku Point and caught the defenders of Pearl Harbor completely by surprise. It was a Sunday. 1938 - Admiral Ernst King led a carrier-born airstrike from the USS Saratoga successfully against Pearl Harbor in another exercise. 1940 - FDR ordered the fleet transferred from the West Coast to its exposed position in Hawaii and ordered the fleet remain stationed at Pearl Harbor over complaints by its commander Admiral Richardson that there was inadequate protection from air attack and no protection from torpedo attack. Richardson felt so strongly that he twice disobeyed orders to berth his fleet there and he raised the issue personally with FDR in October and he was soon after replaced. His successor, Admiral Kimmel, also brought up the same issues with FDR in June 1941. 7 Oct 1940 - Navy IQ analyst McCollum wrote an 8 point memo on how to force Japan into war with US. Beginning the next day FDR began to put them into effect and all 8 were eventually accomplished. 11 November 1940 - 21 aged British planes destroyed the Italian fleet, including 3 battleships, at their homeport in the harbor of Taranto in Southern Italy by using technically innovative shallow-draft torpedoes. 11 February 1941 - FDR proposed sacrificing 6 cruisers and 2 carriers at Manila to get into war. Navy Chief Stark objected: "I have previously opposed this and you have concurred as to its unwisdom. Particularly do I recall your remark in a previous conference when Mr. Hull suggested (more forces to Manila) and the question arose as to getting them out and your 100% reply, from my standpoint, was that you might not mind losing one or two cruisers, but that you did not want to take a chance on losing 5 or 6." (Charles Beard PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT AND THE COMING OF WAR 1941, p 424) March 1941 - FDR sold munitions and convoyed them to belligerents in Europe -- both acts of war and both violations of international law -- the Lend-Lease Act. Roosevelt's intense desire for war." Churchill cabled his cabinet "(FDR) obviously was very determined that they should come in." 18 October - diary entry by Secretary of Interior Harold Ickes: "For a long time I have believed that our best entrance into the war would be by way of Japan." ..> So it's clear that Pearl Harbor was provoked, wished for, and allowed to happen by the war profiteers that run the world. This country has a history of "unprovoked" attacks that lead us to war, and is all cases, I believe that the true perpetrators were the international bankers, industrial magnets, and power brokers, who profit off of war. For the Spanish American war, it was the bombing of the Maine. for WWI it was the sinking of the Lusitania. Pearl Harbor for WWII, Gulf of Tonkin for Vietnam, the killing of JFK and RFK to keep the Vietnam war going and to quash any threat to the war-hawks' power, and the killing of MLK Jr. and Malcolm X to quash the resistance from the African American community. It also seems that JFK Jr.'s death was no accident. There's a good video on google video you can watch about it. Then came 9/11. The mountain of evidence that goes against the official story of 9/11 is overwhelming yet mainstream America doesn't want to look at it. It's no wonder, the truth and the cold-bloodedness of what happened is beyond comprehension. The truth of that day forces people to ask, "How could they kill all those innocent people?!" The answer is quite simple, they're animals … just very rich and powerful ones. It's interesting how in our materialistic culture those with money are valued more and thought to be smarter and more evolved than the poor. Americans have an easier time believing that some crazy terrorists with brown skin, who sleep on dirt floors can commit such acts of cold blooded killing because we've been conditioned to do so. We like to think that we can trust the rich and the powerful. We like to think that we can trust our political leaders. When you put the pieces of the puzzle together, it's clear that abhorrent acts against humanity have been perpetrated by this power elite and we cannot be afraid of them. We must continue to try to wake more people up to the truth so we can all move toward an age of peace. The next tragic event that was perpetrated by the war-hawks and captains of the military-industrial-financial industries to maximize their profits was the assasination of JFK. I'll go over some key points, buy I highly recommend that everyone watch the Oliver Stone film, "JKF", and do some independent research on the internet. The most glaring piece of evidence in this case is the "Zapruder film" a film that was shot by a Mr. Zapruder from a point along side the road somewhat between the infamous grassy knoll and the book depository building. The angle couldn't have been better for seeing from which angle the fatal shot came from, which I would say from JFK's vantage point was about two o'clock. The window from which Oswald supposedly fired from was about five o'clock. There's a great scene in the movie where Donald Sutherland explains to Kevin Costner that who was probably behind the killing was the guy who owns the helicopter company that was supplying all the helicopters for the Vietnam war. Kennedy, he explains, wanted to get out of Vietnam, possibly spelling doom for Bell Helicopter, based out of Ft. Worth, TX, right next to Dallas where Kennedy was killed. It turns out that Bell Helicopter is a division of Textron, an $11 billion multinational that still serves the defense industry as well as the aviation and comercial, and industrial industries. Their brands include EZ-Go golf carts, Cessna airplanes, Greenlee tools, Jacobsen power mowers … they also claim to be in the "Power and fluid" industry and have a financial arm. This one company has it's fingers in every pie imaginable, but with out the escalation of the Vietnam war and the huge helicopter order they received from the Department of Defense right after JFK's assisination, they would not be the economic powerhouse they are today. One thing the film didn't talk about was the Federal Reserve. I had heard on the radio once was that JFK's assasination had something to do with something he was trying to do that was giving the boys at the Fed some grief. Just now when I did a search for "Zapruder film" the below site came up with the following quote … "On June 4, 1963, a virtually unknown Presidential decree, Executive Order 11110, was signed with the authority to basically strip the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the United States Federal Government at interest. With the stroke of a pen, President Kennedy declared that the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank would soon be out of business. The Christian Law Fellowship has exhaustively researched this matter through the Federal Register and Library of Congress. We can now safely conclude that this Executive Order has never been repealed, amended, or superceded by any subsequent Executive Order. In simple terms, it is still valid." Everyone MUST SEE the video titled "Monopoly Men - Secrets of the Federal Reserve" It's on Google video under that title. It was part of a made for TV series called "Phenomenon - the Lost Archives" hosted by Dean Stockwell. So please watch that video before reading any further if you can, but I'll try to sum it up briefly and provide you with some good links. The Federal Reserve Bank was created on Jekyll Island off the coast of Georgia on 1913. There were seven men present. Senator Nelson Aldrich, Abraham Andrew who was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, Frank Vanderlip was there. He was the President of the National City Bank of New York which was the largest of all of the banks in America representing the financial interests of William Rockefeller and the international investment firm of Kuhn, Loeb &amp; Company. Henry Davison was there, the senior partner of the J. P. Morgan Company. Charles Norton was there; he was the President of the First National Bank of New York which was another one of the giants. Benjamin Strong was at the meeting; he was the head of J. P. Morgan's Banker's Trust Company and Benjamin Strong three years later would become the first head of the Federal Reserve System. Finally, there was Paul Warburg who was probably the most important at the meeting because of his knowledge of banking as it was practiced in Europe. Amazing as it may seem, they represented approximately 1/4 of the wealth of the entire world. This incredible story of how this most cold-hearted enterprise came into existence might have been lost to the ages had it not been for four men; Ezra Pound, Eustice Mullins, George Stimpson, and G. Edward griffin, who, continuing the work of the men mentioned above, wrote "The Creature From Jekyll Island". Thomas Jefferson wrote: "The [privately-owned] Central Bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the principles and form of our Constitution... if the American people allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." Even Abraham Lincoln shared Jefferson's view of the private bankers. In order to finance the Civil War, he approached the NewYork bankers to see about getting a loan for the North. The interest rates they proposed were in the order of 30%. Lincoln's response was akin to; "stuff it." He then had Congress live up to its Constitutional responsibility for issuing and valuing currency and issued his famous greenbacks. Incredibly, like so many of us, even to the heights of power, Lincoln didn't know at first that he had the OPTION, let alone the probably-intended OBLIGATION to create money for the nation. With the civil war ending, he had come to the conclusion that his government issued currency should become the basis of the re-United States monetary system. Within a matter of weeks he was shot in the Ford theatre with his monetary system dying with him. In 1832, President Jackson vetoed the move to renew the charter of the 'Bank of the United States' (a central bank controlled by the international bankers). In 1836 the bank went out of business. The Bank of the United States (1816-36), an early attempt at an American central bank, was abolished by President Andrew Jackson, who believed that it threatened the nation. He wrote: "The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government, the distress it had wantonly produced...are but premonitions of the fate that awaits the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it." Andrew Jackson had at least two attempts made on his life. So proud and intent on warning the future generations was he that his tombstone is inscribed with the phrase "I killed the bank!" It came back. The Federal Reserve Act was passed in December 1913; ostensibly to stabilize the economy and prevent further panics, but as Congressman Charles Lindberg Sr. warned Congress: "This act establishes the most gigantic trust on earth...the invisible government by the money power, proven to exist by the Money Trust investigation, will be legalized." Even as early as 1916 President Woodrow Wilson was saying: "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world--no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small amount of dominant men." No more stinging condemnation of a concept can be given than by the man who, convinced it was for the good, championed it in the first place! Then there was the sinking of the Lusitania. The event that propelled us into WWI, an entirely European war. Hey, the war profiteers had to make a buck. So what if tens of thousands of US troops died. Only years later would it come to light that this was the greatest deception in the history of our nation. In August of 2005 I saw a video last night that changed my life. It began with the collapse of World Trade Center building 7, the smaller tower that fell later in the day.. It fell in a perfect vertical implosion. You could not ask for a more perfect implosion. It struck me as I watched it fall for the first time since 9/11/01 that they did not repeat it's fall the same way they kept repeating the collapse of the twin towers. It fell inward perfectly on its footprint. So what, that doesn't prove anything, right? How bout the fact that the official story is that the building collapsed due to 2 small fires on one side of the building! How is a building going to fall straight down from 2 small fires on one side?! There is yet a third, huge problem with the explanation that fire caused the collapse of WTC buildings 1, 2 &amp; 7, and that is that never before has fire cased a steel-reinforced building to collapse, even ones where an entire floor burned for up to 18 hours. There is a really good reason for this, and that is the nearly 1400-degree discrepancy between how hot a "carbon based fire" (any fire in the real world, not in a lab) and the temperature that steel melts at. In other words, it is SCIENTIFICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for a fire of that nature, no matter how much jet fuel was involved, to cause the collapse of those buildings, and again, even if it somehow, though the magical bending of the laws of physics, it did why would theyfall down so perfectly, vertically. Twice again, the way in which those towers fell so perfectly vertically, it could not have been done any better by the worlds best demolition experts! Hired by the most wealthy power elite of this country, and the world. So who stood to benefit? Who could have been behind this? The Bush's, the Cheney's, their buddies cronies, and business associates, defense contractors, namely Halliburton for whom Cheney was the head of the company, and Larry Silverstein. Who's Larry Silverstein? He is the lease holder for the World Trade Center. He also owns the Sears Tower in Chicago. Just before 9/11, he took out a huge insurance policy on the world trade center. After the "attacks" he tried to get paid doubly by the insurance company by claiming that each plane was a separate attack. He also admitted on camera to "pulling" building 7. To "pull" is a term used demolition for imploding a building. His exact words were something to the effect of "I decided to pull it". All of this evidence has been made available to us by the internet … "the information super-highway". numerous 9/11 truth sites and documentaries have popped up, the most influential being "Loose Change, 2nd Edition" and the affiliated site loosechange911.com. Early on I found some other good resources: There is a really good video at LetsRoll911.org where you can see the demolition charges going off in succession to bring the buildings straight down so perfectly. There is also video and audio taken live on 9/11 of firefighters talking about the secondary explosions. There is a group on the popular internet site myspace.com called reopen 911 that as well as having lots of great links to other sites has a great video with audio where you can hear and see the demolition charges going of in the lobby and basement before the "cascade" charges start from the top down. So be careful what you think about and what you wish for, because whatever you focus on will come in faster and faster in the next few years. In the year 2007, you will find a need to hone your spiritual discernment and listen to your intuition to guide your ations. Those who are still unaware, blindly following tribal and social direction, will become more polarized, more distant, more fanatical in their attempts to cling to their negative views and values. They will still be living "below the belt," functioning energetically from the three lowest chakras. Since the new energies are inviting the upper chakras to open and flower, those of you who understand this are seeking a more heart-centered path of expression. This will lead you to establish a higher level of morality, ethics and virtues in your current cultures. How can you bring this in? By raising the bar in your own lives, by living with a higher moral standard that will require those around you to do the same. Rather than a "trickle-down" effect, see it as a "trickle-up" wave of change! In other words, 2007 will see a big split away from the old, conditional, fear-based thinking, and reveal much darkness that started coming to light in 2006. This higher mindset will begin shaking global politics into a new level of integrity by 2008. Isn't it about time? CHANGE, ACTION, INTEGRATION AND NEW INTENT Many religious and channeled sources give different information regarding future predictions. This can be confusing, and you must use your discernment to determine what resonates for you personally. We would like to explain why we have given each year the momentum attributes we chose. To review in brief, we labeled 2003 as the year of change; followed by 2004, the year of action; and 2005, the year of integration. Thus we honored your need to change, the actions needed to implement those changes and the full integration of those changes into a new comfort zone. The year of new intent, 2006, was your platform for taking your heightened awareness and focusing on your new intent to co-create a brighter future. Once you have taken responsibility for what needed changing, implemented those changes, assimilated them into a new comfort zone and give clear intent for a new soul-directed life, what then? Now you must learn to navigate these new waters with spirit-guided intuition. Developing spiritual discernment is vital at this stage so that you know where to place each foot as you step forward, moment by moment, action by action, decision by decision. Once you have fully integrated your seven core chakras, you will go beyond "passing everything through your heart." You will expand all seven into the eighth chakra, creating one big unified chakra field that connects you to your cosmic self, to your higher self. You will indeed walk harmlessly, dear ones, for you will finally and fully feel God's vibration within your expanded body. Do you follow? Yes, follow your own leader! We are so proud to change this above sentence, finally, from "We hope you will!" Do you see your own progress, dear beloved humans? Do you feel our love pouring down upon you? We are so proud of your accomplishments! Now we ask you to hone your internal radar, to feel your way through and not just think things through. Start to rely on and trust your intuition. Do what feels right to you, not what others may see as right. There is such a big difference between being self-guided and self-motivated, rather than being buffeted along by happenstance and circumstance. Which do you choose? One choice is walking with power, which the other is being blocked by fear. Yes, your fears block your inner magnificence, your inner power, your self-worth and self-trust. When you doubt at any level, you are self-limiting. We would also like to remind you that each person has his or her own timetable and individual lesson plan. Don't feel anxious about reading the above yearly list of energetic attributes and think that you have missed the boat. You haven't. We offer this list to give you a roadmap, to show you the basic steps to effectively, efficiently change your life for the better. Whenever you become aware is appropriate for you. Whenever you start seeking, whatever you start seeking, is appropriate for you. It is the incredible diversity built into your species that is part of the miracle of being human. You all have the same basic physical and energetic structure, but each life is a clean slate, a chance to move forward and upward with full, untapped potential. What divine creations you are! For those of you who are already doing what you are meant to do, 2006 brought in a new level of abundance. Lghtworkers who built a strong foundation and prepared well are seeing the positive manifestation of their dream goals. A wonderful wave of appreciation will build for those holding their holistic work with the highest integrity. As the energies rise, dear ones, you will be more and more needed. Your energetic talents and tools will receive wider acceptance as people start to feel what you are doing. Finally, your healing work can move forward without you fearing that you will be beaten, exiled or burned at the stake! Now that the tribal fear factors of ignorance, prejudice and superstition are melting from the equation, science and spirituality will begin to meet and merge. It is only when you bring science and spirituality together that the invisible will become known and change what is known about the visible. In the next five years, much of your scientific knowledge will be challenged and found lacking. The evidence of global warming will be more dramatic at the poles than at the equator. As the Earth's electromagnetic grid structure is constantly readjusting and retuning itself, you will continue to see fluctuations in the location of magnetic north. At the poles, your compass readings will prove less reliable than those of your global positioning systems. The millennium shift is happening globally, dear ones, not just in one area of the world. Nature will adjust, and so will you, but you will soon face a need to clean out more than just your drawers and closets. You will need to clean up your relationships at all levels, from personal to political. Don't just make peace with your neighboring countries; make friends with them. Heal the borders; don't build more walls! You will need to blur those borders as the Earth keeps shifting, for the friends you make now may soon be your next-door neighbors! You will learn to adjust, dear ones, for as we said, the transition is happening even more smoothly that we had foreseen. Don't get discouraged, for there are so many more levels in play than you are aware of. Don't forget to allow divine timing to play its role, for all that happens is ultimately for your highest good. GLOBAL WARMING IS A TRANSITION BETWEEN ICE AGES We have mentioned before that weather and politics will be the two major forces that shape your history over the next five years. As everything else on the planet, politics will have to bend to the weather. You are now seeing a remarkable thing occur that has never happened in recorded history-the ice masses of your arctic regions are melting. Also, trapped water from land-based glaciers will flow into the ocean system, raising its volume, its height and its temperature, inevitably affecting the deepest currents and saline levels. Mexico is small and exposed in landmass, but well-grounded by its ancient spiritual sites. Those will become revealed and activated by intense weather-good always comes from bad-to harmonize both the upper and lower halves of this continent. This native culture is deeply connected to the Earth, and will weather change gracefully. Canada already has begun to see its permafrost melting. Animal and plant species are dying off quickly as their habitats are collapsing. Watch the signs of change and stay flexible, dear ones, for your operative word is "quickly." You will see clearly what is happening and know how to consolidate your resources. Not only will you demonstrate the heights of caring and sharing, you will help warn the world that this global warming is only a temporary transitional phase between naturally recurring ice ages. America is watching plant and animal species fall ill as rising temperatures augment the damage from toxins in its aquifers, which are harming its ecosystems. Keep looking for new ways to tackle these problems. Your innovations will benefit the world. Here is a hint: Look to your young adults. Respect their "out of the box" approach, for they will see what you cannot. The next generation will discover ways of cleaning up the Earth that you will find truly amazing. Energetically, Mexico is the most ancient country of the North American triad. Canada is second, the next oldest adult, with a more laid-back, "live and let live" attitude. The United States sprawls in between, the youngest country, still going through its throes of adolescence. Its creation as a self-governing democratic state with freedom for all was a turning point in modern history. Strong and idealistic, its puritanical roots on the east coast forced the forward-thinkers to move westward. This lovely melting pot of humanity quickly became a world power, and recently the world's problem child. Now the rest of the world looks on as that democracy is being eroded, wondering when the American people will wake up to the truth. Indeed, by 2007 their government may be in turmoil over what was uncovered in 2006. The major future potentials indicate that impeachment may terminate this current government's reign. Or it will continue to limp along, preaching fear so that it can continue to justify war. This debilitating situation will be complicated by several weather crises, the combination of which will affect America's economy in a negative way. The hurricane seasons will continue to intensify from September to November, affecting the Gulf coast area, Mexico, Cuba, the Caribbean islands, Central America, and the northeastern coast of South America. Earthquake activity may rise along the upper coast of California, Oregon and Alaska, probably in the latter half of 2007. Again, coastal areas will be hardest hit. Dear ones, you have extensive geological knowledge and good warning devices. You have seen the need to coordinate your scientific groups at a global level, for indeed the weather is becoming global in its activity. Preparing in advance will avoid much chaos and loss of life in all countries. Again, looking at future potential threads of events, we hope that in this lifetime you choose the future potential of laying down your weapons and refusing to fight any more. If enough people reach this point in their spiritual discernment, war will have to fade away, simply because you won't allow it in your collective midst. CRITICAL MASS CAN BRING AN END TO WAR You are probably thinking that this sounds nice, but that it is a pat answer and an unreachable goal. No, dear children, we are speaking here about critical mass. For example, terrorism is a global issue, and will be fully released from the human equation when enough people release their ingrained hatred against others. How can you create this global level of spiritual harmony? Whatever it is-religious issues, land or property squabbles-find common ground. Work together. Agree to resolve things in a peaceful manner. No issues will be fully healed until enough countries align together to diffuse tensions in the world. If enough countries-through a common conduit such as the United Nations-can raise the bar of morality, values and what is acceptable behavior, then spiritual discernment will become the ruling force! Terrorism needs to be seen from a global perspective as criminal acts against all peoples. Your police forces and intelligence communities need to work together in common consensus. This will help negate the fear aspect of "the war on terror." Dear ones, do you really need a war between countries over this, when banding together will make terrorism unacceptable to all? The mentality of a war on terror, a war on cancer, a war on drugs, a war on this and a war on that-this war mindset needs to be transmuted off the planet. All of the problems we just listed are common issues that each individual country is having trouble conquering [chuckles]. Together you can make so much progress so much more quickly! We would like to point out that all is as it should be. These global political posturings are making you wake up and realize that all life is precious and sacred. One Iraqi life is as indispensable to God as an Iranian, a Jew, a Palestinian, an American, a French, or a Canadian. How many more hundreds of thousands of killings will it take for you to reach a world consensus that such violence should not be allowed? Dear ones, at all levels you face life and death stakes. War is actually not your biggest problem. Are you aware that an average of eight thousand people die of AIDS every day? That's three million people lost to just one disease every year around the world, and those numbers are rising. Here are the major issues your planet faces: weather, war, starvation and disease. What is the one manmade thing on this list that you all created and can therefore eliminate? Yes, war! Now we have a question for you-if you gave up war, how much money, manpower and resources would you then have to apply to healing those other issues? Yes, dear ones, aha! When stacked up against all your other emerging priorities, you will come to realize that war is no longer economically feasible. All of these global factors are a beautiful weave of increasing drama, forcing you to choose either the negative chaos or a higher spiritual moral ground upon which to stand. We will also point out that the global accomplishment of spiritual discernment will require that this current chaos be played out. Please do not be discouraged. Start small; start at home. Remember that a global shift happens one heart at a time. Be willing to help each other in times of need, no matter who you are or where the need may be. Take war off the meeting table and you will see new paths to peace. It will cost time and effort, but many, many lives will be saved. Remember, dear ones, that to be guided by God's will is simply to give and receive only love. That is the one and only commandment that rules God's greatest firmaments. If you can do this one thing, take on this one perspective, to be kind and loving, oh, how contagious this energy is! It begs to be returned! It will spread, dear children; it will spread-and quickly, too, faster than you can imagine. So start imagining it, quickly, all of you, now! It needed to do something. It needed to create. It wasn't feeling complete just by having this unified consciousness all the time. So it conceptualized the idea of breaking Itself up into all these parts, knowing that the parts would be able to evolve by their own free will, making their own decisions. Things would happen that the Oneness was not yet able to understand or comprehend. The parts would have essentially their own creative ability. They would be Co-Creators. The Great Plan was that at the end, after this entire cycle of universal evolution was complete, all of the parts that had evolved on their own would independently recognize their God Consciousness, renounce separation, embrace unity, and return to the totality of Oneness. The One Creator from that very fact would be highly enhanced, because all of this wonderful creative stuff had transpired in that transition from ''One'' to ''many'' and back to ''One.'' So God is evolving, and not some static Being that just sits there and waits for everybody to catch up. God is experiencing our evolution with us. Galaxies were the first Beings My understanding is that God's first manifestations of separate beings are what we call galaxies. Each galaxy is sort of like a person. The universe is composed of many billions of galaxies, so it would be the equivalent of many Earths' worth of human beings, which is not inconceivable to conceptualize. Each one of those galaxies is capable of sprouting an entire system of stars from itself. Each one of those stars is the equivalent of a being, and then each one of those stars is capable of giving birth to planets, and each one of those planets is a being. And each one of those planets, potentially, can be populated with intelligent life. So this is where you really get into the idea that the universe is an Ultimate Being and there are various gradations of beings that step down from that Oneness. The primary being that we here on Earth identify with would be the Galaxy. Ra refers to the Galaxy as the Logos. Our Galaxy has a personality, a particular way of seeing how it's going to create conscious beings that will evolve and return to God Consciousness. Our Galaxy's own template for evolution is to produce human beings, and all of the stars are precisely tuned with the proper energy waves to insure that this will happen quite on its own, by the natural physics of the situation. Let me see if I can explain this in scientific terms. The Galaxy and Harmonic Resonance We know that the Sun is actively pumping out spiraling energy waves that drive the planets and moons in their respective orbits. Both Bode's Law and the new Stoneking Resonance theories show that the planets are spaced out in the natural Diatonic musical proportions relative to each other.[1] The very first extra-solar planetary system that we discovered, which was around pulsar B1257+12, also shows these same proportions.[2] The proportional phenomenon supports the idea that every star is pumping out energy waves that create similar planetary systems, as this kind of resonance obviously could not be caused by random groupings of gas and dust. Then, just like the principles of a hologram or a fractal, within the larger waves from the Sun are subtler, smaller waves. And these are also based on the same musical principles. They all branch out, forming waves upon waves and getting smaller and smaller. The Galaxy is ''tuned'' to form DNA In the optimal planetary system, where there are no major cataclysms or interruptions, there is a specific distance from the Sun where the tiniest spiraling waves will gather a planet's natural materials together to form the DNA molecules of life. The DNA is the wave, and the wave is the DNA. That DNA is formed in the process of planetary evolusion may sound ridiculous, but it can effectively be proven by something known as the DNA Phantom effect. Dr. Vladimir Poponin put DNA in a tube and shone a laser through it, and to his surprise he realized that it actually captured the light and caused it to spiral through the helix, as if it were a crystal. Even more amazingly, when Dr. Poponin removed the DNA, the light continued spiraling on its own![3] For light to form a DNA helix on its own should of course be impossible — unless the light itself had become harmonically tuned to some naturally existing frequency in the energy of space around it. To me, this says that the spiraling light energy of DNA was there first, and the physical molecules simply formed around the spiraling energy once the planet was at the proper frequency position. The Galaxy is ''tuned'' to form human DNA in planetary systems wherever it gets the chance. Darwin's theories are being disproven The theory of the Evolution of Species is being disproven because the DNA molecule is just too complicated to have arisen by ''natural mutations.'' Dr. Crick, one of the original discoverers of the DNA molecule, later proved mathematically that it is absolutely impossible for evolution to have ever even begun to produce DNA in the short amount of history that we have as a planet.[4] We are ''moving on up'' energetically So now, we are moving into a new position. Microbiology experts tell us that 97 percent of our DNA is apparently un-used,[5] but I have been told that more and more of the chain is ''unzipping'' for those who are able to handle the new fourth-density energy structure. These people may not physically look any different, except perhaps more attractive in subtle ways, but internally they will develop greater depths of emotion, perception, intuition, and sensitivity. Some of the younger people will actually develop telekinesis or the ability to ''see dead people.'' Many others often find that their bodies will no longer tolerate foods of lower vibration, and they are impelled to eat diets high in fresh organic fruits and vegetables. So as you drift farther away from your parent star, your planet enters into different vibrational energies and will support life in higher densities. As Ra explains[6], there is an Octave of eight major densities. This is the same as if you played the white keys on the piano, the Diatonic scale. The Octave can also be broken down into a system of 13, which can be seen by playing the Chromatic scale of white and black keys together. There are many densities within densities. Each of these vibratory frequencies corresponds to a specific plane of existence — and/or a specific level of consciousness. Another teaching of Ra is that all people have higher selves, a sixth-density future incarnative self that is guiding their life and guiding their physical incarnation from the future. The Higher Self basically says, ''Look, I know that you're going to evolve to become me. I'm looking back into my past at myself, but I also know that you have free will. I don't necessarily know all the choices that you will make on a day-by-day basis to eventually get to be me, where I am now. So I'm going to help you get to this point. I'm going to show you how to get to where I am, knowing that it's myself that's evolving.'' That is what dreams are. The nature and purpose of dreams Dreams are a very high level, distilled message from the Higher Self that comes through to the individual in the language of metaphor. It doesn't matter whether you understand your dreams with your conscious mind or not. It doesn't matter whether you remember them or not. Your dreams communicate with your fourth-dimensional or fourth-density astral self, which I believe is the same self that Edgar Cayce was using to do his medical readings. It's your astral self that goes through the dream experience. So it's as if you have multiple levels of your being that are doing different things, things that you're not aware of. They're doing all sorts of work, and they're buzzing around — and yet it's all part of you, at the same time. And this is a very mind-expanding concept because you realize how much more you are than your physical body. You realize how much more you're loved and how much more of yourself there is. The Science of Ascension The keystone to all of this that we're talking about — to everything I mentioned so far — is the idea that evolution must come on a mass scale. Ascension is not simply restricted to an idea like the Christians' saying there is going to be this ''rapture,'' where Jesus comes back and ushers in a thousand years of peace. It's a cosmic event, and has been prophesied in almost every major religious and spiritual tradition that has existed on the face of the Earth. In my new career as research director for the ''Time of Global Shift'' tour, I provide references to back up these assertions.[7] Let's talk about some of these now. We'll start with Dr. Alexey Dmitriev from the Russian National Academy of Sciences. Dmitriev did work with tornadoes showing that in the presence of a tornado there are very high electromagnetic fields, visible light, and ball lightning. And there are all sorts of cases where the tornado causes the physical objects to fuse into each other — where matter actually becomes able to permeate other matter. Dmitriev cites cases where two burnt and charred wooden boards were fused together by a tornado, even though they would crumble at the slightest touch. There were pebbles that had gone through glass without breaking the glass; pieces of straw that went through a window and got stuck in the window without breaking it.[8] All this weird stuff is happening that shows that matter is able to disappear or become permeable to other matter in the presence of a strong enough field. Then we look at the Bermuda Triangle. In a triangular area off the coast of Florida between Puerto Rico, Miami, and Bermuda, there have been planes lost as well as ships. It hasn't really been active since the 1970s, but certainly it was before then. And we're not just talking about marine vessels that disappear, and you can say, ''Okay, well, it sank.'' We're talking about airplanes that are on radar and have radio contact, and suddenly they're just gone. In certain cases there have been people who disappear and then reappear. There was a case in the late 1969 where a National Airlines 727 passenger aircraft flying into Miami had lost all radar and radio contact for 10 minutes. Of course, the air traffic controller was highly freaked out by this. Ten minutes went by and communication came back on. The air traffic controller asked them where they had been, and they didn't know what he was talking about. They had no perception of anything's having happened. And when they landed, it was discovered that every single timepiece in the entire aircraft — everybody's watch, every chronometer, you name it — had lost 10 minutes! It was as if they basically just winked out of our existence for 10 minutes and then came back.[9] The more we investigate these vortex phenomena, the more we see that some strange things are happening. Another vortex phenomenon case involved a group of young hippies who were camped out inside Stonehenge when the stones were struck by lightning. Witnesses saw them all disappear, leaving only the charred pegs of their tents.[10] I believe that the higher energy vibration of the lightning activated the vortex that Stonehenge had been built to harness, which in turn caused this to happen, and I think that the creators of Stonehenge probably used these effects for travel through space and time. So apparently Stonehenge and the Bermuda Triangle are places where, at certain times, the amount of gravitational and vibrational energy coming out of the Earth exceeds that going into the Earth. You could think of these areas as being akin to holes that have been popped in a plastic bag filled with water — for a certain amount of time, the water would flow out very quickly. And you can see that in those two locations, there is a history of incidents suggesting that matter has been transmuted in the presence of such an energy vortex. What we are leading to is that the entire energy of the Solar System is increasing, and that at some point, it will reach a level where it will transmute all life on the planet. That is when Ascension will be manifest. Our Sun is not a nuclear furnace Research is now suggesting that the Sun is like a hole that has popped in the energy field of the Galaxy, allowing energy to flow out in a given area; that's why we see it as bright white light. They've already proven that there's no nuclear furnace going on in there. The amount of neutrinos that the Sun gives off is far too low for it to be the byproduct of a nuclear reaction. There are missing neutrinos. They've known about this for 30 years, and the problem is not being solved — those missing neutrinos simply don't exist! So the Sun is not a nuclear furnace. The Sun basically represents cosmic energy, the true energy of Creation. What this means is that the Sun is like a pinhole in space where the energy is flowing out — just like the pinhole in the bag of water we spoke about earlier, or what you would see in the Bermuda Triangle. And in higher levels of vibration, you see a lot more than just the pinhole of the Sun; you see all the vibrations that surround it. These appear as concentric spheres of energy, like ripples on a pond, which are connected by a spiraling coil of energy that expands on out to drive the orbits and rotations of the planets and moons. Everything meshes precisely together like one giant set of gears. This coil from the Sun has been studied and measured. NASA refers to it as the ''Parker Spiral.''[11] Right now, we can only detect these fields with instruments as a form of magnetic energy. The Sun's coil, sacred geometry, and crop circles There are many, many crop-circle formations that show these energy systems of sacred geometry and concentric, expanding spheres connected by spirals. So ''they'' are definitely trying to give us a message. The recent 900-foot long Milk Hill crop formation mirrors the Sun's expanding spiral energy patterns. It contains 409 different circles and was actually displayed on CNN Headline News, as its sheer size and grandeur attracted attention.[12] And what I am saying is that when the energy in the Bermuda Triangle rises, for example, matter changes. When the energy that the Sun is producing rises, the spiraling coil wave from the Sun actually expands, pushing the planets into spheres of energy that maintain a higher frequency of vibration. My research suggests that the actual physical sizes of the planets expand spontaneously when this happens — not hugely, but enough. You can see this in hindsight by going to the idea that if you shrink the radius of the Earth to 55 or 60 percent of its current size, all the continents fit together like a jig-saw puzzle; there's no left-over space. That's called Global Expansion Tectonics.[13] Planetary expansion and the Ascension process So as the planet gets farther away from the Sun, it expands on this spiral of energy that the Sun is pumping out at a very slow speed, and it gradually inches farther and farther away. That's why the Ancients said that Earth's year used to be exactly 360 days long, and that they only begrudgingly added the last five and a quarter days after the fall of Atlantis. Five days is just a tiny bump compared to what can happen. So the farther away you get from the Sun, the more you break into higher levels of vibration represented by a bigger sphere. As the Earth punches into a higher level of energy based on its position to the Sun, it expands in size, because as it moves into that higher energy, the energy within the core actually expands. What also happens is that this energy ''zaps'' all the creatures that are on the Earth, because the increase in the wavelength of the planetary spiral is accompanied by a spontaneous burst of energy from the Sun — a burst that has qualities of both radiation and intelligence. The ancient Hindus referred to this burst as the ''Somvarta fire at the end of an Age.'' So what has happened in the past, at about 50-million-year intervals, is that all the life that had been on the Earth spontaneously dies. And then, all of a sudden, this higher order of creature shows up. The geologists call this ''punctuated equilibrium.''[14] A very recent study published by Dr. Bruce Runnegar and other UCLA astrobiologists supports the theory I am discussing. It's been all over the mainstream news since the end of June. The researchers looked at the planetary orbits and ran them back through time with computer simulations that were very precise. To their surprise, they discovered that 65 million years ago, at the time of the most recent mass extinction (of the dinosaurs), there was what they referred to as a ''chaotic change in the resonant frequencies of the Solar System.'' This chaotic change suddenly jostled all the orbits of the inner planets.[15] While we're here, we should add that all geologists know that the continents broke apart at this time, having once been a single landmass. We also know that the worldwide sea levels suddenly decreased at that time. This was obviously the Earth's sudden increase in size. The hardened crust of the land broke apart, and all the seas drained off into the new cracks, lowering their worldwide levels. And remember that the geologist's have discovered that every time you have a mass extinction, you also have a mass speciation — that is, new species arise. That's another aspect of what happens when this energy ''zaps'' us, causing the planets and their orbits to expand. For example, there is no ''missing link'' between Neanderthal man and Cro-Magnon (modern man) because what happened was that Neanderthal got ''zapped'' and spontaneously evolved. They grew much larger brains and lost the clumsiness of their bodies. The Solar System also is evolving This is where it gets kind of strange. This anomalous change, this spontaneous evolution in the presence of new energy, is also happening to the whole Solar System. In other words, it's not just that the Earth is drifting away from the Sun to go into a new position. At the same time the Sun, also, is ready to break out into a new level of energy in the Galaxy. This doesn't always happen. According to Ra, right now we are actually arriving at the end of a 75,000-year galactic cycle at the same time that we are arriving at the end of a more common 25,000-year planetary cycle. As a galaxy evolves, expanding spheres of energy continue to engulf the stars in that galaxy with higher and higher levels of vibration. This is now causing the intergalactic space around our Solar System to become more and more highly charged. This charge is in turn absorbed by the Sun and radiated throughout the Solar System. So the current ''shift'' is really a unique event for all forms of vibrational life in our area of the Galaxy, not just for those on Earth.[16] How can we tell that Ascension is imminent? Here are some measurable changes in our Solar System which suggest that this evolutionary leap is going to happen soon: Unprecedented solar activity We're having solar activity never before witnessed — at least not in recorded history. We're having sunspot activity on a scale never before seen. We're having radiation emissions, proton emissions and other anomalous energy bursts. All of these things are stepping up in frequency in a way that's never before been seen. In fact, the solar emissions are getting so intense that they are frying many of our satellites. In certain cases we are unable to measure these solar emissions because we never expected that they would get this high, and all our scientific models have to be revised.[17] The quality of the space between planets is changing Another thing that I think is really interesting is that the actual quality of the space between the planets is changing. The space between the planets is actually conducting energy better. The meaning of this is actually quite simple: The Sun releases charged, radioactive particles, such as energetic protons. NASA used to have very convenient scientific models for how long it would take those protons to travel to the Earth. Now, in some cases these protons are traveling up to 400 percent faster than the models expect.[18] So what's happening is that the Sun itself is actually changing. Its magnetic field is actually getting larger. Its energy is changing. The energy between the planets is changing, conducting the Sun's energy faster. Particles are moving faster through space. The actual visible plasma energy in space between the planets is getting brighter. The atmospheres of the planets are changing Dmitriev's work shows that the planets themselves are changing. They are undergoing changes in their atmospheres. For example the Martian atmosphere is getting sizably thicker than it was before. The Mars observer probe in 1997 lost one of its mirrors, which caused it to crash, because the atmosphere was about twice as dense as they calculated, and basically the wind on that little mirror was so high that it blew it right off the device.[19] Earth's moon is growing an atmosphere Also, the moon is growing an atmosphere that's made up of a compound Dmitriev refers to as ''Natrium.'' Dmitriev says that, around the moon, there is this 6,000-kilometer-deep layer of Natrium that wasn't there before. And we're having this kind of change in Earth's atmosphere in the upper levels, where HO gas is forming that wasn't there before; it simply did not exist in the quantity that it does now. It's not related to global warming and it's not related to CFCs or fluorocarbon emissions or any of that stuff. It's just showing up. Magnetic fields and brightness of the planets are changing The planets are experiencing sizable changes in their overall brightness. Venus, for example, is showing us marked increases in its overall brightness. Jupiter has gotten to have such a high energetic charge that there is actually a visible tube of ionizing radiation that's formed between Jupiter and its moon, Io. You can actually see the luminous energy tube in photographs that have been taken more recently.[20] And the planets are having a change in their magnetic fields. The magnetic fields are becoming stronger. Jupiter's magnetic field has more than doubled. Uranus's magnetic field is changing. Neptune's magnetic field is increasing.[21] These planets are becoming brighter. Their magnetic field strength is getting higher. Their atmospheric qualities are changing. Uranus and Neptune appear to have had recent pole shifts When the Voyager 2 space probe flew past Uranus and Neptune, the apparent north and south magnetic poles were sizably offset from where the rotational pole was. In one case, it was 50 degrees off, and in the other case the difference was around 40 degrees, both of which are pretty big changes.[22] The overall changes could essentially be broken down into three categories: Energy field changes, luminosity changes, and atmospheric changes. Overall volcanic activity has increased 500 percent since 1975 On the Earth, we're seeing the changes even more completely. For example, Michael Mandeville has done research that has shown that the overall volcanic activity on the Earth since 1875 has increased by roughly 500 percent. The overall earthquake activity has increased by 400 percent just since 1973.[23] Natural disasters increased 410 percent between 1963 and 1993 Dr. Dmitriev did a very elaborate calculation of natural disasters. He showed that if you compare the years 1963 through 1993, the overall amount of natural disasters of all different kinds — whether you are talking hurricanes, typhoons, mud slides, tidal waves, you name it — have increased by 410 percent. The Sun's magnetic field increased by 230 percent since 1901 There's a study by Dr. Mike Lockwood from Rutherford Appleton National Laboratories in California, who has been investigating the Sun. He has discovered that since 1901, the overall magnetic field of the Sun has become 230 percent stronger than it was before.[24] More than just Earth Changes So, all in all, what we're seeing is a lot more than just what they call Earth Changes. Some people get into the idea that there is an interaction between the Earth and the Sun that's going on here. Very, very few people are aware of the work that is being done in the Russian National Academy of Sciences in Siberia, specifically in Novosibirsk, where they are doing this research. They've come to the conclusion that the only possible thing that could be causing this energetic change all throughout the Solar System is that we are moving into an area of energy that is different — that is higher.[25] The glowing plasma at the leading edge of our Solar System has recently increased 1000 percent Now, check this out. The Sun itself has a magnetic field, of course, and that magnetic field creates an egg around the Solar System, which is known as the heliosphere. The heliosphere is shaped like a teardrop, with the long and thin end of the drop pointing in the opposite direction from the direction that we're traveling. It's just like a comet, where the tail is always pointing away from the Sun. The Russians have looked at the leading edge of this heliosphere, and they have observed glowing, excited plasma energy there.[26] This plasma energy used to be 10 astronomical units deep (an astronomical unit is the distance from the Earth to the Sun, 93,000,000 miles). So ten astronomical units represents the normal thickness of this glowing energy that we used to see at the front end of the Solar System. Today, that glowing plasma has gone to 100 astronomical units deep. Although Dmitriev's paper does not give an exact timeline, we can assume that this increase happened in the same 1963 to 1993 period as the increase he found in natural disasters. Whenever it happened, that's a 1,000 percent increase in the overall brightness of the energy at the front end of the Solar System. And this means that the Solar System itself is moving into an area where the energy is more highly charged. That higher-charged energy is in turn exciting the plasma and causing more of it to form, so you see more luminosity, more brightness. This energy is then flowing into the Sun, which in turn emits the energy and spreads it out along its equatorial plane, which is called the Ecliptic. This in turn is saturating interplanetary space, which causes the solar emissions to travel more quickly and charge up the energy on the planets. And this is conscious energy that is changing how the planet works, how it functions, and what kind of life it supports. The harmonics of the DNA spiral itself are altering. That's the real, hidden cause of spontaneous mass evolutions in previous epochs of time. All this is happening all at the same time, and it's all working up to a crescendo where there is going to be a sudden shift. In other words, we will get to the point where we are so far into the new level of energy that there will be a sudden expansion of the basic harmonic wavelengths that the Sun emits as it radiates energy out of itself. This increase in energy emission will change the basic nature of all matter in the Solar System. The planets are pushed slightly farther away from the Sun and the atoms and molecules that make them up actually expand in terms of their physical size. Cosmic Changes and the Ascension Process So what we are basically talking about here is conscious energy that changes how the planet functions and what kind of life it supports. And when we realize that we are more than our physical bodies, we have no need to be afraid of this energetic change. When this new energy comes out of the Sun, we will naturally be transported into a higher level of our own being. Our physical body becomes irrelevant at that point. We are much more than that. As we've alluded to before, the blast of energy that will come is conscious. It will look like fire, but it's really conscious energy. Here's another example of how this happened in the past. In a previous geologic era on Earth [the Paleozoic], the predominant species was this little crab called the Trilobite. They got blasted — you find in the fossil records that they were all killed. But what you don't see is that their group soul evolved into whatever the next stage of evolution was. The dinosaurs got blasted. Their souls turned into mammal souls. So nobody goes anywhere, nobody is actually extinguished. We can find the bodies and it looks cataclysmic, it looks horrible — but all they really do is just bump up another notch and start to inhabit different bodies. Soul graduation If you're very attached to your physical body, you might say, ''Well, what would I be without it?'' You might see this as traumatic, but in fact your experience could be looked at as Soul graduation. People are saying, ''I'm doing my spiritual growth. I'm doing my path. I'm walking in my truth. I'm trying to grow spiritually, I'm trying to evolve.'' Evolve to what? Grow to what? Are we just going to keep reincarnating over and over again as humans? No. Is the Earth going to remain in this vibrational level where human beings will blow up bombs, poison its waters, pollute its atmosphere, kill its creatures, and cut down all the trees? No. The Earth is not expected to go through this. The Earth is an evolving being, too. The difference with the Earth, unlike a regular human lifetime, is that it goes through a very premeditated, very obvious course of its evolution. As it orbits around the Sun, and as the Solar System orbits around the Galaxy, the extraterrestrial races that are in higher dimensions know exactly when these changes are going to happen. That's why they're here now, because basically they're aware that this is going on, and are standing by to assist us. They're aware that, just as the vortex of energy has caused airplanes to disappear in the Bermuda Triangle, when the Sun's energy bumps up another notch, matter on Earth will be transmuted. The Sun's energy can cause matter to just physically transmute. When transmutation occurs, creatures like animals and plants may appear to be dead, but what happens to the human body will actually be alchemical transmutation. So it's not as though there's going to be all these fried corpses lying around. When the energy hits you, you transform. Your body will actually transmute itself. There is a parallel in the Shroud of Turin, where certain researchers have found that Jesus' body burned a complete three-dimensional image of itself into the cloth. And they found through experimentation that such a burn could only be caused by an instantaneous blast at a very high temperature, ''zapping'' the cloth like an X-ray film. When is the big change supposed to happen? The basic date for the ''shift'' corresponds to the end of the Mayan Calendar — December 2012. Ra makes the suggestion that the Mayan Calendar was given to the Mayans by high-level sixth-density extraterrestrials so that they would have a tool with which to time the passage of these cycles. It's a good thing to know how these cycles work, because they are tied in with history (see Ra article). The bottom line The only thing that matters is how much Love you are willing to share. It would be so easy to miss this fantastic opportunity to participate in the evolution that is happening here and now on our planet. The media is bent on creating a reality where our happiness is contingent on the acquisition of new products. We seek the best jobs and the highest status as we succumb to the mass illusions of ''consensus reality'' and ''winning the game.'' Each of us has the choice to create our lives so that we may participate in the Utopian world that will manifest on Earth after this Ascension process has completed — a world without poverty, hunger or pain; a world where full-body levitation, spontaneous healings, instant telepathic communication, and abundant Love are the law of the land. This is the world that Jesus promised us in John 14:12, when he said, ''As I do these things, so shall you do them, and greater things.'' It comes back to question: What are you going to hold onto? You have to leave behind the physical life in order to participate in the Ascension. You have to be willing to move into a life that is spiritual. You have to be willing to give up the things that you once thought were important — your car, your material effects, your earthly status, your earthly fame and power — because you're basically only going to take yourself. You can't bring anything with you. No money, no credit cards, no gold coins. When you leave your body and move into these higher realms of consciousness, all those earthly things will be meaningless. When you get out of this world without these braces, guess what? Your memory will be your sole companion. And then you will realize that the only thing that ever mattered was how much love you were willing to share while you were incarnated on Earth. In fact, it's going to require more power than you currently have at this time. How I do I know that you need more? If you haven't attained all you desire, you haven't yet developed enough power to do so. But you absolutely can develop this power—and scientific findings prove it. Radical Idea #1: Zero Point Field Science claims that we live in a "vibrational" universe. Everything is made of vibrating light, aka energy. What appears to be static and solid is actually pulsing light. This light emanates from an ultimate field of energy known by many names. Theologians use the term God; scientists call it the quantum hologram, plenum, or zero point field. This field is 99.99999 percent light and there's enough power in one cubic meter of the zero point field to boil every ocean on our planet. Everything originates from this zero point field, your body, a $100 bill, a stone; and, when viewed at the quantum level, is comprised of the same light energy, differing only in rate of vibration, density, and quantity. Radical Idea #2: DNA and Light Vladimir Poponin, molecular biologist from the International Space Sciences Organization, conducted research with human DNA (your genetic coding). Poponin placed human DNA into a test tube and created a vacuum to determine whether it would affect particles of light energy. Light in the vacuum tube created wave patterns around the DNA. But more interesting, when DNA was removed from the vacuum tube, the light didn't return to its previous random pattern. It maintained the same wave patterns. The DNA had produced a lasting influence on the energy in the tube. How does this relate to your life, your dreams, your goals? If your DNA, your genetic coding, has a direct effect upon light energy of which every single thing in this universe is comprised, then your DNA affects everything around you. Radical Idea #3: DNA Emissions Harold Burr, neuroanatomist at Yale, showed that all living entities emit electromagnetic fields. According to Burr's findings, the greater the consciousness of the living entity, the greater the transmission and reception. Taking this a step further, Fritz Albert Popp, theoretical biophysicist from Germany, discovered that the DNA of every plant, animal, and human emits biophotons (light) in microscopic amounts. Radical Idea #4: Positive Energy The HeartMath Institute, foremost authority on the study of the heart, proved that the human heart projects a field of energy from five to 50 feet beyond its body. Other HeartMath studies reveal that quantum fields—those same electromagnetic fields and biophotons we each emit—affect our neurological and immunological functions at the cellular level, influencing both intellect and health. Researchers stressed human DNA by heating it, then had people generate beneficial heart energy (positive emotions such as love, joy, gratitude, peace) onto the DNA. The DNA receiving positive energy not only recovered faster, but absorbed measurably more light than the DNA samples that weren't given positive energy. Putting the Pieces Together So let's put it together. According to HeartMath and Burr, the more positive energy our DNA receives—the more we experience gratitude, love, joy, abundance, enthusiasm—the more our DNA can absorb and transmit light. And what do we know about light? Every single thing in our universe is comprised of it. Everything around and within us is vibration, and the vibration you put into the field is calling and attracting similar vibrations. Everything you have in your life is your own creation. Your thoughts and feelings have a direct impact on the world—especially on your world. Everything you think and feel creates a biochemical change inside your body, and impacts the world around you. Unconscious Failure, Conscious Success What have you created in your life? Most actions and results in life are created unconsciously via your internal blueprint. To know what this blueprint says, look at your results and listen to your dominant thoughts. Are they about lack, what you do not want? Until you change your unconscious blueprint, you'll never change your life or your results, because every single feeling and vibration and thought is affecting your DNA, which is affecting your light potential, which is attracting and creating results into your life. If you want more in your life, you have to increase your vibration and light potential—period. How? Through your feelings. Feelings and emotions are complementary but not the same. For example, when you experience the emotion of love, you also get a feeling in your body—heart rate increase, endorphin rush, sweaty palms. This feeling is the vibrational change in your body. In this universe of vibration, feeling is the key. The more you expose your DNA to positive energy (thoughts, feelings, and emotions), the more light you possess and control in your life and the more control you have over your entire world. If you understand this, you've just received the keys to the universe. Your consistent thoughts, feelings, and emotions control your DNA—and your DNA controls your universe. So how to transform our internal blueprint? First, sit down and define what you desire in five key areas: financial, relational, intellectual, physical, and spiritual. Make them specific, clear and measurable. Second, keep your consistent attention upon those intentions, regardless of what's currently happening in your world. Third, wake up every morning and go list the things for which you're grateful. Monitor your emotions and feelings throughout your day. If you feel tense and uptight, know that your DNA is shifting and shutting you off from the abundant flow of the universe. When you feel inspired, grateful and enthusiastic, the light of the universe (in all of its forms) is rushing towards you in ever increasing quantities. Fourth, take action…bold and immediate towards your intentions. Fate favors the bold…but if you don't yet have the courage for "bold," then go as big as you're able while still feeling good. Finally, monitor your feelings and the results around you. Don't be angry or upset at less desirable results (shutting yourself off from the flow). We are immersed within the Photon Belt (Menasic Radiation), a period of intense light we first entered in the late 1990s and in which we will remain for a 2,000 year period. During this remarkable time the energies from the Photon Belt are triggering a complete reordering of life as we know it. This occurs because photon light energy has the capacity to lift all of life into a higher frequency dimension as it carries the seeds for the enlightenment of all. The atomic structures within the cells of our bodies are slowly re-tuning themselves to match these rising frequencies. We are shifting from a third dimensional carbon based body (from one that matches the atomic frequency and spin of carbon) to a fifth or higher dimensional crystalline body or light body (to one that matches the atomic frequency and spin of crystal) .So too the bodies of animals, plant life and all upon and within the earth are making this transition as is our entire galaxy. As the process of rebuilding our light bodies continues we will slowly begin to notice the effects of becoming fully conscious or multi-dimensional. This state will come about when our 12 strands of DNA have finally been re-fused, reconnected and activated. We will then experience life within the consciousness of multi- dimensionality. In this level of consciousness we could live in the third dimension while retaining our connection and relationships with beings in the higher realms. At the present time most humans have two active strands of DNA, represented by an intertwined double helix. Some persons have developed and integrated three or more strands and a large number of new babies presently being born (the crystal children) have many strands of active DNA. A simple blood test can verify this fact. Each of the 12 DNA strands represents one of the twelve aspects of multi-dimensional consciousness. Three DNA strands represent and govern the physical body, another three are concerned with the emotional body, another three with the mental body and the remaining three with the spiritual body. All these aspects are represented in our bodies as new neural pathways to the brain~ They are connected and nourished through the endocrine system of ductless glands. These glands work in tandem with the energy vortexes within our bodies known as the chakra system. This provides the DNA upgrade needed to sustain full consciousness and communication with the higher realms. These aspects are represented in physicality as new neural pathways to the brain and when the connection is completed our multi-dimensional consciousness will be fully felt and accessed. The light from the Photon Belt entering through our pituitary and pineal glands is primarily driving this recoding process. Also we are being reconnected very slowly otherwise our physical bodies and our nervous systems could 'burn out' and we would not survive intact. We can actively co-operate in this process by trying to reach some understanding about what is happening to us. You have more time to yourself than you could ever need. What would you create? What would you do with yourself? Again, go for the top and think big knowing that whatever you needed or wanted was at your disposal and could be successfully done or created with complete certainty. Now, please record your answer. As the first wave and most recently the second wave of lightworkers are being provided with the opportunity for ascension, all will be provided for them. When you reach this point and are being and vibrating who you really are, everything you need will come to you effortlessly. All you need do is to "be" about what it is you desire and you will naturally attract it to you. If you simply surround yourself with what you love and what you know, and "do" and "be" it joyously, all else will COME to you on its own. Your energies need only be spent in the creating aspects of what you love to express (i.e. art, architecture, design, music, etc.). All else will follow on its own. In addition, it is part of the plan for substantial amounts of funding to come your way for your very special project. Trust that this will be so, as it will be. And remember that it is not necessary to list a project. If your answer involves doing something for yourself that makes you feel great, then that is wonderful. You may simply want to travel and experience. In the New World as higher beings of light we are supposed to be in situations that make us feel good...plain and simple. It doesn't matter what this is as long as it feels good and right to you. We are here to experience and create absolutely anything that we choose. Our soul purpose involves two aspects. One aspect relates to our relationship and contribution to the whole, or our service to the planet. The other involves our relationship and contribution to ourselves. I thought I'd share some of the things that I've learned so far that have been helpful. The first thing we learned is to visualize our grounding cord connecting us to the center of the earth. The part that was helpful to me was when the instructor said that it didn't have to be a straight line. It could be moving around, wavy, whatever! This helped me immensely! She also said to have fun with it. That when you are amused you are more in tune with your psychic, spiritual energy. I also found this helpful. Last night we practiced recalling our energy from whatever had drained it that day, then we even went back to our elementary school and recalled our energy from there, into golden suns above our heads, then we let that energy refill our bodies. Then the instructor had us visualized the center of our heads. Mine was not a happy place until he said to give it a golden sun, now I can at any time visualize my grounding cord, recall my energy, and give the center of my head a golden sun! Cool! I mean, I don’t see how people can justify it. In this day in age. In the past, sure. I mean we used to be more animalistic. The brutality of the history of crimes of man against man, and man against women and children for that matter, is incredible. But history does not need to repeat itself. We don’t have to continue to be that way. It is one of the oldest survival instincts which again harkens back to our animalistic nature: The fear of that which is different from you. As members of the animal kingdom, we are naturally programmed to "mate with our own kind/species. This is where racism comes from. It’s a natural animalistic fear that is programmed into us. My wife and I were speaking about it the other day. You know, there’s that whole argument of "survival of the fittest" and what not. But you see, we have to evolve beyond that. That’s another way in which the Conservative Christian line of thinking is contradictory. On the one hand, they say that we did not evolve from animals, that we were created in "God’s" image. On the other hand, they equate other fellow humans to animals, originally calling Native Americans "godless savages". For me it is completely unacceptable in this day in age to have people thinking this way. Jesus himself said "blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." But that’s exactly what conservative Christianity is doing, persecuting people for the sake of the "righteousness" of Conservative Christians: Persecuting gays, Muslims, Arabs, the poor, the counter culture and human evolution and progress as a whole. They must be stopped. Materialism Necessity Need Randomness Power Battle of wills. I think Americans are much too under appreciative of the value of things in general. For example, I work at a pro audio accessories shop and I’m constantly getting scoffs at how much things cost. I for one am amazed that things don’t cost more when you think of everything that goes into them. Take a XLR to RCA adaptor with a street price of say $10. Some might say, "Wow, $10 for this little adaptor!?" But let’s examine this for a minute. The adaptor contains seven separate metal pieces, two plastic, isolative, heat-resistant pieces, and three wire connections between six solder points! That’s a lot of stuff! Each one of these 9 pieces has to be formed separately using individual machines and raw materials. Raw materials have to be purchased, the machines have to manned, and the product has to be assembled some by hand some by machine. So that’s at least nine different machines and nine different humans required for the manufacture of this little part, not including the, materials, labor, and resources involved manufacture and extraction of the raw materials! Then the product has to be inspected packaged and shipped on giant container shipped the equivalent of more than half way around the world! Then there’s all the drivers, maritime workers, port workers, and domestic sales and distribution personnel. Then there’s me the retailer. Let’s say we make a five-dollar profit on the part. Out of that my employer has to pay my commission, which is a whopping $1.25 while you’re standing there bitching to me about it costing too much and asking me question after question in free consulting time of how to plug your shit together! Meanwhile you’d quickly tip a bartender $2 for alcohol drinks of the same value for 30 seconds of work, on top of whatever hourly wage they’re making, and you’re paying $250 a month for internet, TV, and phone service. Then my employer has to pay UPS for bringing it to us (you didn’t know that, did ya?), has to pay a where house person to receive it, a bill payer to pay the bill for it, four other accountants to keep the numbers in order and of course the utilities and maintenance on the store, which believe me, aren’t cheap! $10 for that adaptor indeed! I spoke earlier about the competitive, animalistic instincts that we have as members of the animal kingdom and as the product of 2.5 million years of evolution (which has been proven). The unfortunate irony is that in this day in age, instead of continuing that evolution, there are forces in the conservative Christian right that is trying to go backwards and hold us down, keep us from evolving. But it’s not just Christians. It’s been my experience that those older and with more power than I are constantly, needlessly creating power struggles between themselves and those "beneath them" in the pecking order. It seems older people with power try with every last breath to fight off perceived usurpers to their power. It’s a paranoid, animalistic instinct. And the result is a slowing down of evolution, because they are resistant to change. They fear change, they oppose it. They feel threatened by it. They perceive it as a personal attack on them and their personal power. If we can approach these people with love and compassion and make them understand that we are not after there power, or not trying to destroy them. Donation of Constantine The Donation of Constantine (Latin, Constitutum Donatio Constantini) is a fraudulent Roman imperial edict, supposedly issued by the Roman Emperor Constantine I in AD 324, which purported to grant Pope Sylvester I and his successors sovereignty and spiritual authority over Rome, Italy, and the entire Western Roman Empire. The legend claims that the donation was Constantine's reward to Sylvester for curing him of leprosy by a miracle. Constantine moved the capital of the Roman Empire from Rome to Constantinople, which became the centre of power of the Eastern Roman Empire, later the Byzantine Empire. We are comprised of a near-infinate number of vibrating sub-atomic particles. Everything is always vibrating. Remember back to your 7th grade "earth science" class how even the coldest rock on earth has vibrating molecules in it? How everything is vibrating, always? Another scientific thing that, to me, proves the multi-dimesional nature of the universe is how light is both a particle and a wave at the same time. That's like (it is!) existing in two diminsions at the same time. And of course there's sound, my favorite sense, being as I'm a musician and music lover and all. And probably the best way to illustrate my whole energy concept, well I can't claim it, but you know, I just want to get more people thinking about it and how it relates to the world around them. So anyway, yeah, sound … The cool thing about sound is the precise mathematics of it. It is divinity manifested. For those of you who don't know anything about music and the mechanics of sound, There are only 12 notes. All the notes that we can hear, and the ones that we can't are just those 12 notes repeating themselves but in different pitches called octaves. Classical greeks like Pathagoras did estensive research and pontivicating on this. Here's the cool part that I feel helps illustrate how the universe is one and interconnected, and we're all just vibrating energy and all that. sound waves a measured in hertz abreviated (hz), or cycles per second. So now for the cool math. The second string down on a guitar in the A string it is supposed to be tuned to 440 hz. That means that the string is vibrating 440 times per second and a 440hz sine (the one with the perfectly rounded humps and dips, haha, baby, you look like a SINE WAVE!! haha) wave form would have 440 peaks and 440 valley per second. Now here's the cool part. The next A (remember, about the 12 notes repeating themselves over and over?) which is an octave higher, occurrs at 880 hz! It all makes sense! It's all just vibration, man! We are all, the whole universe is, just interconnecting vibrating sub atomic particles. Vibration is a form of energy, so an energy wave is emmitted at the frequency of which each individual thing is vibrating! Don't ya see?!! Different things resonate at common frequencies. I work at a pro audio retail shop. No, pro audio is not car or home audio, it is used by professionals such as musicians, engineers, schools, churches, ect. Recording equipment, P.A. systems, ect. So anyway, once upon a time I was 17, in high school, and had this great idea to be "sound engineer!" oooh, sound's so glamorous, doesn't it?! I thought it was a stroke of genius at the time. "Wow, I can be a ligitamate technician, with steady work and produce great works of metal like my idol-engineer at the time Scott Burns. So here I am fifteen years later, producing no metal, making no recorded music. "Trapped" in a dead-end retail job with people who are still gonna be here twenty years from now, who are bitter and cynical, and who's presence I find toxic at times, and maddeningly amusing (not necessarily in a healthy way) at others. I think when I first starting working here 10 years ago, I thought it would be cool to sell audio equipment, learn the business, work my way up, and on the side try to do my own recording. Then my wife (fiance at the time) dumped ovaltine on my keyboard because I wouldn't buy her a $50 bag at I spoke earlier about the competitive, anamalistic insticts that we have as members of the animal kingdom and as the product of 2.5 million years of evolution (which has been proven). The unfortunate irony is that in this day in age, instead of continuing that evolution, there are forces in the conservative christian right that is trying to go backwards and hold us down, keep us from evolving. But it's not just christians. It's been my experience that those older and with more power than I are constantly, needlessly creating power struggles between themselves and those "beneath them" in the pecking order. It seems older people with power try with every last breath to fight off percieved usurpers to their power. It's a paranoid, anamalistic instinct. And the result is a slowing down of evolution, because they are resistant to change. They fear change, they oppose it. They feal threatened by it. They perceive it as a personal attack on them and their personal power. If we can approach these people with love and compassion and make them understand that we are not after there power, or not trying to destory them. If we can point out these anamalistic traits that we all have and explain to them that we are trying to evlolve beyond that, perhaps that is a good place to start. I was thinking earlier about the life I've had, about my personal traits. About my path, about my dark sides. I remember those thoughts I used to think. Why is it so hard for me to stop thinking like that. About my perpetual laziness. About my love of good beer. It's time to do something, but what? Where to start? I am supposed to be here right now. I can feel it. I just have to open up and release my inner gifts to those around me. That's the first, toughest part. The important thing is to not lose site of the big picture. Don't get overwhelmed by all the little things that you have to do. Just try and finish one thing at a time, and also stop to give yourself a break and stop to enjoy the moment every now and then. I also have often had visions of me being interviewed on television. I've been on Letterman many times in my head, ... In these visions I am often talking about metal! So here goes, Matt Mann on Metal part one ... In the beginning ... In the beginning, (for me) ... I was a young lad around the turn of the 70's into the 80's and I loved music from a very early age. In the beginning like many, I had to start with my parents record collection. There wasn't much to work with there. My favorite albums from their collection were Neil Diamond and Crystal Gayle. (Hey! Don't diss Neil Diamond!) A couple of my favorite songs in the following year or two were Tom Petty's "Don't Do Me Like That" and "Another One Bites the Dust. I't wasn't until I was nine in 1983 that I told my dad to buy me my first record, Jouney's Frontiers. I think becuase I say the video for Separate Ways on TV. Separate Ways is about as metal as Journey got. Great song to this day! (Hey! Don't diss Journey!) That same next year I had my dad buy me my first metal record for my 10th birthday. (drumroll) Quiet Riot's Metal Health!! YEEAAAAAARRRR ... BANG YOUR HEAD! HAHA. While Quiet Riot didn't quite have the staying power as some of their metal contemporaries we do have to credit them for ushering into the mainstream LA Hair Metal. (Ah ... Hollywood!) For it was after their chart-topping number one single Cum On Feel the Noiz that all the major labels scrambled to sign every LA big hair havin' power ballad singin' metal band. If Metal Health was my first metal record, my second may well have been Shout At the Devil by Motley Crue. Actually it was a cassette. They took it to the next level of darkness and Hollywood glamour with that one as they set off on their path to continue to set trends in Hollywood Hair Metal that the rest of the pack would contiue to follow for almost 10 years to come. I also had a Judas Priest cassette, Screaming for Vengence, but I couldn't get into it at the time. You could say they really hadn't "come out" for me yet! Haha. Although now that they're one of my favorite bands, I wonder if I had bought Defenders of the Faith, like I wanted and on vinyl, like I wanted, instead of listening to a friend, I wonder if I would have liked it then. Believe it or not, all of my early records and cassettes came from KMart! See, in 1983 our KMart in Grass Valley was brand spankin' new. I remember being there on opening day and it was so packed, it was like everyone from the whole town was there! Also we did not yet have a dedicated record shop. So yeah, I remember seeing that Defenders of the faith album on the shelves in KMart and I wanted it. Another record that I got there to check out some other bands was a compelation called Masters of Metal, but it had a bunch of old school bands like Zebra and Rainbow, not my cup of tea. I also decided that I did not like Iron Maiden at the time after hearing Run to the Hills on that compelation. It wasn't until Somewhere in Time, and Wasted Years, and then Live After Death that I became a Maiden fan. By the way, Live After Death is the best live album there ever was, and ever will be ... period. end of story! It was around this time that that same friend who told me to buy Screaming for vengence on cassette, told me about a band called Metallica. He said he had heard that they were good. Well that was good enough for me! But I wasn't gonna take a chance on 'em so I bought it for my other friend's b-day so if it sucked he's be stuck w/ it! Ride the Lightning on cassette from Sam Goody @ Sunrise mall in Sacto, CA At the time Ratt was our new favorite band with their "compelling" (lol) album Invasion of Your Privacy, so to go from that to Ride the Lighning ... well at first of course we couldn't get into it, and we thought that the riff from the song Ride the lightning was a rip off of the riff for the song Shout at the Devil! Robinson in A Pilgrim's Path, pp. 47-48 explains: "Lucifer makes his appearance in the fourteenth chapter of the Old Testament book of Isaiah, at the twelfth verse, and nowhere else: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!" The first problem is that Lucifer is a Latin name. So how did it find its way into a Hebrew manuscript, written before there was a Roman language? To find the answer, I consulted a scholar at the library of the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. What Hebrew name, I asked, was Satan given in this chapter of Isaiah, which describes the angel who fell to become the ruler of hell? The answer was a surprise. Henry Neufeld (a Christian who comments on Biblical sticky issues) went on to say, "this passage is often related to Satan, and a similar thought is expressed in Luke 10:18 by Jesus, that was not its first meaning. It's primary meaning is given in Isaiah 14:4 which says that when Israel is restored they will "take up this taunt against the king of Babylon . . ." Verse 12 is a part of this taunt song. This passage refers first to the fall of that earthly king... How does the confusion in translating this verse arise? The Hebrew of this passage reads: "heleyl, ben shachar" which can be literally translated "shining one, son of dawn." This phrase means, again literally, the planet Venus when it appears as a morning star. In the Septuagint, a 3rd century BC translation of the Hebrew scriptures into Greek, it is translated as "heosphoros" which also means Venus as a morning star. How did the translation "lucifer" arise? This word comes from Jerome's Latin Vulgate. Was Jerome in error? Not at all. In Latin at the time, "lucifer" actually meant Venus as a morning star. Isaiah is using this metaphor for a bright light, though not the greatest light to illustrate the apparent power of the Babylonian king which then faded." Therefore, Lucifer wasn't equated with Satan until after Jerome. Jerome wasn't in error. Later Christians (and Mormons) were in equating "Lucifer" with "Satan". So why is this a problem to Christians? Christians now generally believe that Satan (or the Devil or Lucifer who they equate with Satan) is a being who has always existed (or who was created at or near the "beginning"). Therefore, they also think that the 'prophets' of the Old Testament believed in this creature. The Isaiah scripture is used as proof (and has been used as such for hundreds of years now). As Elaine Pagels explains though, the concept of Satan has evolved over the years and the early Bible writers didn't believe in or teach such a doctrine. The irony for those who believe that "Lucifer" refers to Satan is that the same title ('morning star' or 'light-bearer') is used to refer to Jesus, in 2 Peter 1:19, where the Greek text has exactly the same term: 'phos-phoros' 'light-bearer.' This is also the term used for Jesus in Revelation 22:16. So why is Lucifer a far bigger problem to Mormons? Mormons claim that an ancient record (the Book of Mormon) was written beginning in about 600 BC, and the author in 600 BC supposedly copied Isaiah in Isaiah's original words. When Joseph Smith pretended to translate the supposed 'ancient record', he included the Lucifer verse in the Book of Mormon. Obviously he wasn't copying what Isaiah actually wrote. He was copying the King James Version of the Bible. Another book of LDS scripture, the Doctrine &amp; Covenants, furthers this problem in 76:26 when it affirms the false Christian doctrine that "Lucifer" means Satan. This incorrect doctrine also spread into a third set of Mormon scriptures, the Pearl of Great Price, which describes a war in heaven based, in part, on Joseph Smith's incorrect interpretation of the word "Lucifer" which only appears in Isaiah. I just want to say that my heart goes out to all the families caught up in this catastrophe, especially in New Orleans. I have prayed everynight for you guys out there and will continue to do so untill it's all over, which is going to be a long time yet by the looks of things. People are being raped in the shelters for the refugee's, people are being murdered and electronic goods and such are being stolen. The people commiting these crimes will surely burn in hell and rightly so. If anyone is able to donate any money to help these people then please do so, even if it means you have to go without. So we know that there is a huge black hole at the center of our galaxy that if given enough time would devour the intire galaxy before collapsing inward and exploding back outward. The most common cause, the peasant class calling for an end to their suffering. It is no different today. The rich have always been rich and the poor have always been poor. So who is at the top? Who are the richest of the rich, and how do the decisions they make affect the world we live in. The most glaring example of are time is 9/11. I saw a video last night that changed my life. It began with the collapse of WTC building 7. It fell in a perfect vertical implosion. You could not ask for a more perfect implosion. It fell inward perfectly on its footprint. So what, that doesn&amp;rsquo;t prove anything, right? How &amp;lsquo;bout the fact that the official story is that the building collapsed due to 2 small fires on one side of the building! How is a building going to fall straight down from 2 small fires on one side?! There is yet a third, huge problem with the explanation that fire caused the collapse of WTC buildings 1, 2 &amp; 7, and that is that never before has fire cased a steel-reinforced building to collapse, even ones where an entire floor burned for up to 18 hours. There is a really good reason for this, and that is the nearly 1400-degree discrepancy between how hot a "carbon based fire" (any fire in the real world, not in a lab) and the temperature that steel melts at. In other words, it is SCIENTIFICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for a fire of that nature, no matter how much jet fuel was involved, to cause the collapse of those buildings, and again, even if it somehow, though the magical bending of the laws of physics, it did &amp;hellip;' why would they fall down so perfectly, vertically. Twice again, the way in which those towers fell so perfectly vertically, it could not have been done any better by the worlds best demolition experts! This is because they WERE brought down by the worlds best demolition experts! Hired by the most wealthy power elite of this country, and therefore, the world. But there is even more evidence! There is also video and audio taken live on 9/11 of firefighters talking about the secondary explosions. But the best thing is to watch it for yourself. Having just seen this video, now that this paper is completed, it is not covered in this paper. This paper, in the end, is about self-mastery, a term introduced to us in the first semester. The figuring out of how we are meant to fit into this world, and the realization that if we want to change the world, we must first be able to change ourselves and the world around us. It&amp;rsquo;s about everything that has brought us to this point, and how to go about making social change through creating dialog with those that have been misled. We must go out into the world like Socrates, Jesus, and many others before and since who dared to make people question their beliefs, and question the nature of society. But before we can do this we must be centered in our own strength, grounded in our own reality, and the universal reality that binds everything, otherwise we will be easily defeated. We must forge wills of iron in order to take on the unwitting agents of falsehoods. Every person on this planet Earth comes from a different place; geographically, hereditarily, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and experientially (including past lives). Many people wonder: What does it all mean? Many do not. Many live in denial of what reality really is. They create their OWN reality as a defense against a deeper understanding. We all have our own rationalizations. That's OK. What&amp;rsquo;s not OK is when we fail to realize that they are rationalizations, because then we deny the truth. "What is the truth?!", you may be asking. It is something different for all of us, this is our personal truth. In order to gain a deeper understanding for the world, we must always be aware of our own personal truth. Personal and spiritual evolution cannot come if we deny the truth, and not just our own personal truth. There is also a universal truth. This universal truth must be understood and accepted by all in order for the human race to achieve anything close to harmony. Of course total and complete harmony is a fantasy, a myth, but much progress can, and needs to be made in that direction. The universal truth that needs to be understood and accepted is the history of "civilized man", and the role that history has played in other cultures as well as our own. We need to look at the world with a new perspective, with fresh eyes, from the point of view of other countries, races and cultures. Realizing of course that "our" culture, and the dominant culture of the world in terms of money and power is "white Christianity". Let's face it. We have been brought up thinking, and being told that this is the greatest country in the world. This country portrays itself as the superhero of the world, helping those less fortunate countries in need. What we are not told, what "Americans" in general are in denial of, is that the "policies" of this country are the reason why many of those "less fortunate", "underdeveloped" countries are in the state that they are in. I will explain this in greater detail later, but it boils down to a result of "imperialism". "Imperialism" is defined in Webster's as: "The policy and practice of forming and maintaining an empire in seeking to control raw materials and world markets by the conquest of other countries, the establishment of colonies, ect." and, "The policy and practice of seeking to dominate the economic or political affairs of underdeveloped areas or weaker countries". Imperialism pre-dates written history as does slavery. It is because of imperialism that the global geopolitical structure is the way it is today. I am reading a book right now that likens the different geo-political realms to the tectonic plates; always in flux, in constant motion, constantly bumping into each other and causing upheaval. The global geopolitical system is very complex, but we must look at what is going on behind the scenes at the highest level of global control with organizations like the IMF, WTO, World Bank, Trilateral Commission, and the CFR. Some of the same people have an influence or sit on some or all of these governing bodies. More public scrutiny needs to be paid to the policies made by these governing bodies and how their policies affect the poorest people on earth. When I was a sophomore in high school, this guy in my class told me that the AIDS virus was created by the Trilateral commission as a means of population control. It&amp;rsquo;s always been in the back of my mind, and I always hoped it wasn&amp;rsquo;t true, but I did some research on the internet recently and found out that David Rockefeller, who created the Trilateral commisson, also owned the pharmaceutical company that made the drug AZT for treatment of AIDS patients. Not only that but his company which claimed to have "discovered" the AIDS virus was successfully sued by this French guy who claimed that he "discovered" it and they stole it. Whoever "discovered" the virus would stand to make millions from the tests people would have to take to see weather or not they are infected. I believe that we as conscious Americans should remember and atone for, everyday, the fact that this country was built on land stolen from the "Indians" with lives and labor stolen from the Africans. CHAPTER 1 We all must come to a deeper understanding of ourselves and break down the walls that we put up. I'm not saying this with that new-age like attitude of "we all have to love each other", for I believe that that line of thinking rests on a surface barrier of denial. It is important to understand our hate, where it comes from, and to work through it. This is an on-going process. We evolve by understanding ourselves and others, by coming to realizations of the nature of relationships between things. We must be grounded with the earth, with ourselves, and with reality. I am a spiritual person and have studied some new-age thought. My problem with the new-age movement is that it is almost exclusively white for one thing, and these white people are not grounded in reality. Many are not even grounded with the earth. Many seem to have achieved some kind of inner peace, but in most cases, it is a peace that rests on a surface of denial. This is because they are not grounded in the universal truth and not always aware of the totality of what&amp;rsquo;s going on in the world geo-politically, or even the issues that face those less fortunate in their own areas. It&amp;rsquo;s the same thing with the white left of American politics. It&amp;rsquo;s too white! The same can be said for the environmental movement. There&amp;rsquo;s nothing wrong with wanting to protect the earth, I just think protecting the people who live on the earth should be a priority. This is a capitalist nation as we all know. We are also still pursuing imperialism. American society is based on consumerism and consumption. We always think we're right. A key part of this is keeping the masses ignorant. This is done through the corporate-conglomerate controlled media. A couple examples of this is how the government would not let any images of the bodies of U. S. soldiers be released through the media. Another example is how Fox News constantly kept people afraid in the wake of 9/11 with "terror alerts" and constant warnings of attacks. After Bush was elected last year I knew I had to do my best in my lifetime to try the best I can to change the minds of the average Americans who voted for him, especially since it was the Christian Conservative right who got him re-elected on the issue of gay marriage, which was appalling to me, seeing as how it is only a matter of time before they find the human gene for homosexuality (they have already found it in fruit flies!) Then at just the right time back in feb-march I started seeing all these shows about Christ and the Gnostic gospels, and the rise of the Catholic Church. I have always been opposed to Christianity, but that doesn't mean I can't learn from the very wise teachings of Christ, as we all can. Given the brutal history of Christianity, and the rigid, backwards thinking of modern conservative Christians, I have no doubt in my mind that if Christ were alive today he would absolutely denounce almost everything that Christianity has done and stood for since 323 A.D. With my studies this year of religious men and philosophers from Thales, to Socrates, from Shankara to Jesus, Mohammed and beyond, I&amp;rsquo;ve come to realize that I must do as they did and go out into the world challenging peoples&rsquo; belief systems. Every one of the men I mentioned and every other man who stood up and make a difference throughout history, (Ghandi, MLK, ect.) did so in the face of rulers who would have their lives for their words and actions. I'm saying lets begin an ideological war by using the Socratic method to challenge peoples belief systems that are built on denial, ignorance, and as you mentioned, fear. Socrates was murdered by the powers that be in the ruling class of classical Athens 2,500 years ago. He simply walked around talking to people asking them questions about their beliefs and how they arrived at them, thereby CHALLENGING their beliefs. He was convicted and murdered for "corrupting the youth of Athens. He became a threat to the ruling class because he was causing people, particularly, young people to see and question the flaws of the system put in place by the ruling class. So you have to go out and engage people. The trick is to do this in a way that the person doesn't feel like you're attacking them, or trying to get them to join your cult or something. I have realized that there are two kinds of people in the world ... those who "get it' and those who don't. Not to say that there isn't any overlap, and there are infinite levels of "getting it" but you know who I'm talking about, people who drive around with their big white truck with a "W" sticker on the back, who think "we gotta get them terrorists and smoke 'em out of there holes" just don't get it! So after bush was shockingly re-elected last year I started asking myself "what is with mainstream America?", where does this level of ignorance come from? I came to the conclusion that is comes from "Christian Values". The KKK is a Christian organization. Actually I realized some years ago that at some point in my life I was going to have to take on Christianity, but how do you do that? So it was definitely on the back burner to say the least. So then around March I started seeing all these shows on the history channel and pubs about Jesus and the history of Christianity. I learned about and read the Gnostic gospels and how only four out of 54 gospels were included in the bible. then it hit me ... I can take on conservative Christianity with the words of Christ himself because like I said if Jesus were alive today he would be totally opposed to conservative Christianity! If enough of us blow, the house of cards that hold up their delusory beliefs will fall. We are the ones who "get it" we are the ones who understand that the war is bullshit just so some fat, greedy corporate fucks can get rich by selling more tanks to the army. The rich profiting off the death of the poor ... it's been going on since the beginning, but it doesn't have to go on forever ... or does it? Getting back to what I feel Jesus believed, here is a quote from Vedanta philosophy that I feel is right in line with what Jesus believed as well as with what I believe: "The divinity at the core of our being is the same divinity that illumines the sun, the moon, and the stars. There is no place where we, infinite in nature, do not exist. the goal of human life is to realize and manifest our divinity. Not only is this possible, it is inevitable. Our real nature is divine; God-realization is our birthright. Sooner or later, we will all manifest our divinity-either in this or in future lives-for the greatest truth of our existence is our own divine nature." Since everything is interconnected anyway. I feel that any type of exclusion whatsoever has the effect of producing a distorted reality because if you excluded part of reality then it's not reality anymore, is it ... I came up with a quote a few days ago "evil springs from the denial of the truth" but really that not true. I think that true evil in it's purest form goes back to "greed is the root of all evil" the denial of the truth just perpetuates the existence of the evil, it allows it to keep existing. Evil is a conscious choice that results in the death and suffering of many for the profit of a few elite running the show globally. CHAPTER 2 The nature of existence is to exist. regardless of who believes in said existence. so really, the question is, what does exist? I don't like the word god, but I am a spiritual person and I believe in the soul, the spirit and energy. not as three separate things within us but different aspects of a singular existence. I believe in a singular existence in-so-much-as we are all singular people living on a singular planet in a singular universe ... not to say that I don't believe in the multi-dimensional nature of the universe, because I do, but we have one big messy reality to deal with on one big messy planet. We don't need to worry about the other dimensions, they'll take care of themselves. I believe in energy. we put out energy, we receive energy, we are all connected to each other and everything through this singular plane of existence we call life on planet earth, and everything is connected to and affected by us. I believe that when we die our spirit, our energy dissolves into the air and becomes a part of the energy that's just flowing through the air, but our soul lives on and is born again at some point. ... and I believe that if Jesus were alive today he would be totally opposed to almost everything conservative Christianity has done and stood for since Constantine adopted Christianity around 323 A.D. The American political landscape for most of the last 25 years and being ever so resistant to change, we who seek change face huge obstacles. It's going to be a spiritual journey for me because I will have to work through some issues that I have like shyness, social anxiety, self-esteem, and defensiveness. I was watching a program about philosophy last night and of course they talked about Socrates and his Socratic Method, whereby he would wander around, engaging people in conversation and he would end up getting people to guest ion there own beliefs and conclusions and how they arrived at them. This is what I am going to have to do as part of my quest, because I feel that most Americans' beliefs rest on a foundation of lies, deception, ignorance, denial, an entitled sense of superiority, racism, and arrogance. CHAPTER 3 I'm baffled by the fact that Ronald Regan is thought of in such high regard, with and aircraft carrier recently being christened bearing his name. Americans don't like a wimpy president. They want a guy who kicks ass and takes names. When you look back at the election of 1980 and look at the key issues, they were; foreign policy, defense, taxes, and inflation. Americans were upset at how Carter had handled the Iran hostage crisis, and they also held him accountable for inflation, and the energy crisis that created those famous long lines at the gas pumps. None of which were directly his fault. Then Regan stood up there and said how tough he was going to be and how something like the hostage crisis would never happen on his watch, and how he was not going to raise taxes, but Carter admitted he would have to. What happened? Well of course Regan went back on his word and raised taxes, something people seem to forget when they look at him in such a high regard. Next, he proceeded to run up an enormous deficit, needlessly, I might add, on defense spending. It was the cold war era when Regan and his military hawks were plagued with fear and paranoia. Billions were spent needlessly on nuclear missiles that we were later only to spend millions decommissioning. Now let's talk about the millions, possibly billions that have been spent on "Star Wars" the "Strategic Defense Initiative". All while social programs were and are being cut, funding to schools is being cut, metal health and homeless programs are being cut, and the richest 1% are given huge tax breaks, in Reagan's failed "trickle down economics" policy. Of course this legacy of tragedy continued with George Bush, who was of course Regan's Vice President, and after eight years of relative prosperity under Clinton, we've slid back down to the bottom of the mountain with Bush's son George W. Bush. I remember under Regan the needless military incursions and loss of life that occurred in Beirut and Grenada. Then of course under Bush "senior" there was the Gulf War, and of course Bush "junior" wanted to finish up the job that daddy started, and now are men are dying over there daily. Of course the Iraq war has been the key political issue of the last few years, and has been a very divisive and controversial issue, and ever since we went in, people have been asking; should we or should we not have gone into Iraq. For me you cannot approach this question without going back to the Gulf War, because they are definitely connected. When the Gulf War happened, first of all I thought Bush "senior" was much too quick to send the troops into Saudi Arabia under operation "Desert Shield". I think that diplomacy should have been given a chance and I'm sure with enough determination and international support we could have gotten Saddam to withdraw, but because we were so quick to send in the troops, it turned into a macho pissing match where neither party was willing to back down. Then, I like most people think we should have toppled Saddam's regime while his armies were in retreat and we also had some support from rebel groups in Iraq who we encouraged to attack Saddam's regime and told them we would back them up. We then turned our backs on them, broke our promise to them, they were mostly all killed or had to flee into exile, and Saddam remained in power. So if we had done it right the first time and either toppled his regime or established a more constructive and mutually respectful diplomatic relationship, the Iraq war may never have had to happen. Having said that, given that things happened as the did in '91, I do understand the need to go into Iraq and actually saw it coming after UN inspectors were kicked out in '95, for once the inspectors were kicked out, how does the global community monitor them and enforce the UN resolution that Saddam signed. Now let's talk about the sanctions that followed the Gulf War and it's horrific effects particularly on the children of Iraq. Following the Gulf War, apparently Saddam was not completely bowing to the wants of Bush "senior" and he instituted economic sanctions as we did with Cuba. They didn't work in either case and just caused millions of needless deaths mostly to the poor, the sick, and the children because they couldn't get the medicine they needed. Not to mention that we continued almost daily bombing of Iraq with no media coverage whatsoever. Millions of innocent civilians were needlessly killed as a result. So the question is; why did/do such policies have such broad domestic support. I believe at the root of it all are "American values", but what are "American values"? After looking at what encapsulates so called "American values" and looking at which type of Americans typically hold those values, one has to say that "American values" are actually White, conservative, Christian values. This not to say that such ignorance only comes from the White, conservative, Christian populace or that all people who fit said description are bad people, but if one were to engage these people, arm them with the truth, and force them to process it, then they would undoubtedly have to question their own beliefs and how they arrived at them. For example, knowing that Iraq did not have weapons of mass destruction, how much the war was costing, in money and in human lives, and how much the deficit was going up, how could anyone vote for Bush in '04?! Clearly not with their logic and common sense, but with their strongly held "values", with gay marriage becoming the issue that got Bush re-elected! That's right, Bush's conservative Christian supporters got on the phones all across rural Ohio and convinced people that Kerry was for gay marriage, even though he never said such things. With the election in 2004 Conservative Christian right wing forces led the charge against gay marriage. They worked the phones across rural Ohio (the deciding state) and played on people&amp;rsquo;s fear that Kerry was going to legalize gay marriage. What happens when they discover the gene for homosexuality? What will happen then? I foresee a lot of backpedaling homophobes stammering for a new explanation for their narrow-minded, backwards beliefs. Scientists have recently isolated a gene linked to homosexual behavior in fruit flies, so it&amp;rsquo;s only a matter of time. I mean Jesus is supposed to love and accept all, right? CHAPTER 4 Some other major problems with our American society are greed, selfishness, ignorance, and denial. Lets talk about greed, selfishness, and capitalism. We all know this is a capitalist country and we are not allowed to graduate high school without learning how great capitalism is in our government/civics/economics class. The problem with capitalism that is not mentioned in those textbooks is that the nature of capitalism is that it allows, and one could say, in its rawest form, encourages one person, or group of people to capitalize on another, more vulnerable person or group of people. In other words, one could say that capitalism needs innocent victims being exploited to thrive. This has become glaringly apparent in recent years with increased awareness and scrutiny on the policies of the IMF and WTO. Now, this doesn't have to be the case. We can have compassionate capitalism, which is basically a blend of capitalism and socialism. It's very interesting how the words socialism and communism have been vilified by our culture, and by our government. Of course there have been tyrannical dictatorships that have not exactly been positive publicity for communism and socialism. Getting back to my point about greed, selfishness, and materialism. This being a capitalist country, these, I would say negative traits are encouraged in our society! All you have to do is look around. Everyone has to have the latest, greatest gadget, cell phone, camera phone, digital camera, bipod, ect. Just look around at the cars! All these people driving around inefficient $30k-$50k automobiles while people are sleeping on the streets in this country and starving and dying of curable conditions in others. The American people are fat, greedy, ignorant, arrogant, apathetic and uninformed! Let's take a look at taxes and spending. Everyone is well aware of the financial woes of this great state of California. Our deficit continues to number in the 50 billion neighborhood. Meanwhile, the rich enjoy nice tax breaks and can write their Hummer&amp;rsquo;s off as "farm equipment". To add further insult to injury, Bush has just passed an energy bill that will greatly benefit his buddies in the big oil, big energy industries, in essence using taxpayer dollars to subsidize their companies that have already been swimming in obscene profits since his administration began. Another big issue facing our nation is the decline of health coverage for Americans. America's healthcare system is the most inequitable, inefficient, and costly systems among industrialized nations. It is driven by embedded vested interests who continue to feather their own beds while it wrecks the lives of millions and squanders our money. Since 1945 special interest groups such as the American Medical Association (AMA), the Insurance industry and the Pharmaceutical industry have wielded their political power to protect their turf at the great expense of the American People. One of the main ones I thought was good was the suggestion that in order to make health care more affordable, lawsuits related to health care would have to be better regulated because a lot of the high cost of health care is due to the high cost of malpractice insurance required to protect physicians and organizations from lawsuits. I think that America in general has gotten way too sue-happy. While this is a free country and you should be allowed to sue anyone you please if you have a legitimate case against them, we should try to keep court costs down through some sort of reformed arbitration process, and for those who bring frivolous or fraudulent lawsuits, the penalties should be increased to discourage such actions. Another website mentioned that reform of the tax treatment of health care expenses is needed. The American people need to own up to their mistakes and realize when they are wrong, so that they don&amp;rsquo;t keep making the same mistakes over and over. When they voted for Regan, he said he would not raise taxes, and did anyway (both times). When they voted for Bush Sr.; the same. Here in California, voters have made repeated mistakes that have const the state billions of dollars. This is something I can bring up with people as I am asking them to challenge their beliefs and the choices they&amp;rsquo;ve made. It&amp;rsquo;s well know that the state of California has a $50 billion plus deficit, and it all started with the deregulation of energy, which I voted against but most Californians voted for because they thought it would lower their energy bills. The deregulation campaign was funded by PG&amp;E and other major, big money energy interests. I probably would have voted for it myself, not knowing any better if I hadn&amp;rsquo;t seen a state assemblyman on a morning news show. He was leading the opposition to the proposition. He explained that what it was really about was a "nuclear bailout" for PG&amp;E, reimbursing them for the money that they had lost investing in nuclear power. Also, people didn&amp;rsquo;t realize that deregulation meant that rates could go up just as easily as they could go down, and it opened the door for the energy market manipulation that we are still paying for and took us from having a budget surplus to a deficit in the billions. To throw good money after bad, voters spent sixty million dollars to have a special election to recall governor Davis who was only guilty of buying too much power at too high a price to avoid more energy shortages. Governor Swarznegger was elected in his place, and the first thing he did was to repeal a car tax. Not a very smart thing to do with a state that&amp;rsquo;s facing a 50 billion dollar deficit. CHAPTER 5 Coming to the conclusion that my mission in life is to try to change the mindset of conservative Christian America, seeing their system of belief, ignorance and denial as the chief obstacle in the world&amp;rsquo;s forward progress caused me to ask myself how to go about this arduous task. It just so happened that in March of this year, 2005 I caught a show about the Gnostic gospels, and it hit me! I can use the words of Christ himself to dispute their beliefs and actions, for in the gospel of Matthew Christ says "Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." and with same sex marriage having been banned in many states, I would say that homosexual people are definitely being discriminated against, and one could say, persecuted. I strongly believe that the world's greatest single problem boils down to a simple concept: The global and national distributions of wealth. It's what starts nearly all revolutions. The peasant class must rise up in armed struggle because they decide at a certain point that they can no longer live in the conditions in which they are forced to live. I believe this to be part of the problem with Al Qaeda. They find most of their recruits among the poorest of communities. Individuals who have nothing to lose and are happy to die a martyr's death because their lives are so miserable. If we go into these countries and provide for some of their basic needs, they won't see us as so evil. At the same time, we also have to realize when we need to give them space. American military officials recently met with leaders of insurgent groups in Iraq. This happened shortly after I realized that this is what has to happen. Unfortunately, the insurgent leaders we not satisfied with the meetings, and the suicide attacks have increased, killing 50 people the other day. It seems that the main issue that the insurgent leaders wanted to discuss was a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. troops. Our military leaders only tried to use the meeting to gather intelligence about the workings of the insurgent groups, and as I said, the killing has continued. Here we have a classic big macho male pissing match; we won't leave 'til they stop killing, and they won't stop killing until we leave. Let's see how many more have to die until our troops come home ... at least the one lucky enough to make it home. The lack of Americans wanting to understand "the enemy" should worry us all. I noticed this in the wake of 9/11. I didn&amp;rsquo;t hear anyone asking, "Why did they do this?" It was just, "Well they&amp;rsquo;re a bunch of crazy terrorist who just want to kill innocent people." Now come on, if you were going to kill a bunch of innocent people, wouldn&amp;rsquo;t you have a pretty damn good reason for doing it? These people are killing themselves and innocent people because their needs are not getting met. I think it&amp;rsquo;s about time we start trying to meet some of their needs, or at least ask them just what it is they want. It was clear what the Palestinians wanted in May and June of 2001 when Israeli tanks were rolling into the West Bank and Gaza Strip and reclaiming Palestinian land for Israel. They asked the United States for help but their pleas fell on the deaf ears of President George W. Bush. He did not want to get involved. People will retort that the attacks of 9/11 were 13 years in the making and that they wouldn&amp;rsquo;t have called them off just because we decided to help out the Palestinians. Well, thanks to the Bush administration, we will never know. Getting back to the issue of Global distribution of wealth, when all major industrialized nations met in Rio for Earth Summit in &amp;rsquo;92, they all agreed on a target of donating 0.7% of their gross national product (GNP) to the world&amp;rsquo;s poorest countries. Since then the U.S. has fallen to second-to-last place at only 0.16%, (Only in 2004 did they move up from last place by one.) Compared to Norway in first place at .87%. Even though these targets and agendas have been set, year after year almost all rich nations have constantly failed to reach their agreed obligations of the 0.7% target. Instead of 0.7%, the amount of aid has been around 0.2 to 0.4%, some $100 billion short. Source: http://www.globalissues.org CHAPTER 6 Now, lets shift gears a little bit and talk more about Jesus, for it's quite safe to say that no man has affected the lives and beliefs for all of Humanity for the last two thousand years than Jesus of Nazareth. But what do we really know him and his beliefs. Everyone knows that he had 12 apostles, however only four of them wrote gospels that in the eyes of the church fathers, illustrated points that they wanted to make about Jesus, serving their needs to establish an all powerful church that all Christians would adhere to or in some cases be put to death. There are at least 52 gospels about Jesus dating back to the first and second centuries AD, from people who knew him, or stories that had been passed down a generation or two from people who knew him. By the third century AD there were numerous and wide spread different sects of Christianity. When Constantine ascended to Rome's throne by "conquering in the sign of the cross" that he saw in the clouds, he embraced the growing faith and declared himself it's protector. Of course Christian churches were already in place at this point, they had just been operating underground. When Constantine chose the head priest of the head church of Rome, of course he would have chosen the wealthiest and most powerful Christian priest of Rome. But why only four gospels? I recently learned that the gospel of Peter was denounced as a forgery and Heresy by the church fathers, but he knew Jesus better than they did, and why would someone want to forge such a thing? The earliest gospels, called "The Gospel of Q, written around 30 AD, reveals that many of the earliest Christians did not believe in the divinity of Christ or that he was a messiah, but that we was a great man and a wise teacher. Here is some info on Irenaeus of Lyons, who was the first person to name the four Gospels: "Irenaeus is remembered as the second bishop of Lyons although there is no clear evidence that he ever officially assumed the Episcopal duties. The first bishop, Pothinus was martyred around 177 during persecutions under Marcus Aurelius when Irenaeus was visiting Rome. Irenaeus wrote a number of books, but the most important that survives is the five-volume On the Detection and Overthrow of the So-Called Gnosis, normally referred to as Adversus Haereses (English: Against Heresies). Only fragments in its original Greek exist, but a complete copy exists in a wooden Latin translation, made shortly after its publication in Greek, and Books IV and V are present in a literal Armenian translation." Whenever the word "God" comes into a discussion and whenever that word comes up as being a universal reality for everyone, I'm going to have to put my hand up and say "Why not 'Goddess', 'The Universe', 'Earthly Reality', or 'Your Own Consciousness', for not everyone believes in 'God'". Yet on all of our currency, and many public buildings there are the words in bold "IN GOD WE TRUST". "God Bless America" was almost the national anthem and was the single most unifying phrase after 9/11. Bush rode to victory on a conservative Christian agenda. We have been experiencing a Conservative Christian backlash in this country with as many states as they can control passing same sex marriage bans recently. What happens when they discover the gene for homosexuality? There are going to be a lot of Christians, homophobes, and those who just don't agree with the concept of homosexuality having to eat their words, rethink their beliefs, and do a little soul searching. As Conservative Christian influence on our national and foreign policy has increased, it's become more and more apparent to me that the only way to achieve the changes that I want to see in this country and the world is to take on that point of view. But I kept struggling with the question "How do you get someone to see things a new way without them feeling like they and their belief system are being attacked ... The Answer ... Through understanding the beliefs of the man himself, Jesus, and taking everything in context of the beliefs and social and political climate of the time. The basis of my belief is that given the current socio-political climate of Conservative Southern Christians, that their beliefs actually go directly against what Jesus believed, and if what they are is Christian, than Jesus himself would be totally opposed to the Christian Church. Jesus himself said that when one learns to balance the masculine with the feminine, that is when they will enter the kingdom of heaven. One of the hang-ups I have with Christianity is that they are always talking about "God" or "Father" preferring the masculine form for the universal divinity. I happen to prefer the feminine form, "Goddess" or "Mother". I learned recently that it would have been completely ludicrous in Jesus&rsquo; culture to suggest that "The Almighty" was female. His own apostles were outraged enough that he had accepted Mary of Magdala into their camp. I guess if Jesus was truly a rebel he might have suggested a "Mother" or "Goddess", but he was only human after all. When reading the below excerpts from the gospel of Mary of Magdala, it's easy to see why the church fathers denounced it. It clearly would undermine church authority by encouraging people to think for themselves and be at one with nature. Excerpts form the Gospel of Mary of Magdala 22) The Savior said, all nature, all formations, all creatures exist in and with one another, and they will be resolved again into their own roots. 23) For the nature of matter is resolved into the roots the essence of every nature in order to restore it of its own nature alone 31) That is why I said to you, Be of good courage, and if you are discouraged be encouraged in the presence of the different forms of nature. 34) Beware that no one lead you astray saying Lo here or lo there! For the Son of Man is within you 9) Blessed are you that you did not waver at the sight of Me. For where the mind is there is the treasure. These quotes from the gospel of Mary are my favorite. To me they illustrate what Jesus truly believed and that we are all divine. There is no need to worship some external deity because we all have a piece of the deity within us. There is also a lot of reference to nature, and being at one with and in harmony with nature. This contrary to the majority Christian view that this earth and all it&amp;rsquo;s creatures were made for "man", to serve "man". I believe, from what I have read, and from the quotes above, that Jesus did not believe what conservative Christians hold him to have believed and taught. I don&amp;rsquo;t believe that Jesus taught that "God" was something to be feared and worshiped above all others as all three of the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, &amp; Islam) teach. ing like, "The kingdom of man is everywhere" or "all around us.", or in the words of Bob Marley "Most people think, great god will come from the sky, take away everything and make everybody feel high, but if you know what life is worth, you will look for yours on earth. Now you see the light, stand up for your (or you&amp;rsquo;re) right!" Here are some excerpts from the gospel of Thomas to illustrate some points. The first thing of note is the use of the word "Father". I myself prefer the feminine "Mother" or even better an asexual term like Pythagoras' "Monad" to name the one source for everything in our existence, suggesting an interconnectivity between all things. But in Jesus' time or culture "Father" was the accepted term, heir&amp;rsquo;s being an extremely Patriarchal society with Moses, Abraham, his son, so then naturally their god, all being men. 22. Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, "These nursing babies are like those who enter the (Father's) kingdom." They said to him, "Then shall we enter the (Father's) kingdom as babies?" Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]." This first quote, for me, is the deepest one in the gospel of Thomas. Even though Jesus does use the term "Father", he makes a point here where he says "when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female". Of course this is not the kind of "nonsense" that the patriarchal church fathers wanted to here, so it was branded as heresy even though Thomas was one of Jesus' apostles. To Jesus' credit he did accept Mary of Magdala into the camp of his apostles, much to the shock and astonishment of his apostles as women were thought of as much "less than" men in that time and culture. And Mary especially since she was allegedly a prostitute. The other part of the quote where he says "When you make the two into one&amp;hellip;'", I feel illustrates his belief in oneness. More like the ancient belief that we all come from the same source and are all, therefore, interconnected. It also reflects a need to be centered in your own oneness. To be centered in yourself, but also to be centered in the oneness that binds the universe. We have that saying about being "of two minds" on an issue, meaning that we are conflicted or can&amp;rsquo;t "make up our minds". That&amp;rsquo;s why we always say, when one faces a decision that they are conflicted on, to "follow your heart". You always hear on yoga instructional videos to "find your center", and to "listen to what your body is telling you". Be at one with yourself, with nature, with the divinity that unites us all. This is the message of Jesus. However, the message of Christianity is quite different. The message of Christianity is more like "Neal before God", "Repent your sins", "Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior". From what I&amp;rsquo;ve read so far I don&amp;rsquo;t hear Jesus saying these things. It seems that Christianity is more a creation of the Catholic church than it is a creation of Jesus. It is simply a means of population control. This will sound shocking to some. Yet others will say, "Well duh!" 28. Jesus said, "I took my stand in the midst of the world, and in flesh I appeared to them. I found them all drunk, and I did not find any of them thirsty. My soul ached for the children of humanity, because they are blind in their hearts and do not see, for they came into the world empty, and they also seek to depart from the world empty. But meanwhile they are drunk. When they shake off their wine, then they will change their ways." The only thing I have to say about this quote is that the part where he says "My soul ached for the children of humanity, because they are blind in their hearts and do not see, for they came into the world empty, and they also seek to depart from the world empty" This is exactly how I feel about Conservative Christian America. 61. Salome said, "Who are you mister? You have climbed onto my couch and eaten from my table as if you are from someone." Jesus said to her, "I am the one who comes from what is whole. I was granted from the things of my Father." "I am your disciple." "For this reason I say, if one is whole, one will be filled with light, but if one is divided, one will be filled with darkness." The quote, "When you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner" I believe illustrates his belief that we are all and everything is interconnected and until one realizes that, they will not be able to enter "the kingdom of heaven". Again, this is not what the church fathers wanted to hear. They wanted people to believe that the only way they would be allowed to enter heaven is if they paid financial tribute to the church. This is another reason why Jesus wouldn't be a Christian, also, I don't think he would agree that only men could be priests. 67. Jesus said, "Those who know all, but are lacking in themselves, are utterly lacking." This one is self-explanatory 70. Jesus said, "If you bring forth what is within you, what you have will save you. If you do not have that within you, what you do not have within you [will] kill you." Again speaking to those who are spiritually and emotionally empty. 113. His disciples said to him, "When will the kingdom come?" "It will not come by watching for it. It will not be said, 'Look, here!' or 'Look, there!' Rather, the Father's kingdom is spread out upon the earth, and people don't see it." Again, not the kind of message that the church fathers wanted being put out, for it would undermine their power and authority. CHAPTER 8 Jesus did two things to enrage and get the attention of the temple priests. First, he forgave a woman for her sins, something that only the temple priest had the authority to do. Then he walked straight into the temple, tipped over the table of the moneychangers and said something to the effect of "You have turned this house of God into a den of thieves." The temple moneychanger allowed people to trade in their "dirty" money for clean temple coins that were used to purchase white doves that one could then sacrifice to Yahweh so that "he" would forgive their sins. Jesus objected to people having to pay for repentance, just as he objected to only "desirable" people being let into the temple in the first place. Therefore Jesus surely would have objected to a similar practice perpetrated by the Catholic church in the middle ages of selling forgiveness of sins as a way to raise money for the church. People will see that all to often their belief system is built on ignorance, denial, fear and hate. So that they will see that the foundation of which the White, Christian, Republican agenda, which won the election and has consumed the minds of the American populace like the worst mental illness known to man, is cracked, sinking and infested with termites and dry-rot. In the first semester, after the election, Ali talked about how the Bush campaign had tapped into White, Christian, fear, "morals", "beliefs", and "values"; and that there was definitely a racial undertone to the whole thing. These White, Christian, Republicans are the people we most need to reach out to in our quest for social change, for we cannot achieve "social change" without changing the minds of society, and you&amp;rsquo;re never going to change someone&amp;rsquo;s mind by confronting them in a confrontational manor. They must be approached with compassion, understanding, and universal love. They must be approached with an understanding of where they are coming from. One must reach out to them by talking to them on their level. Right away in the first semester the subject came up of evolution vs. creation. I still cannot believe that this is a debate, that Christians continue to turn a blind eye to the irrefutable scientific evidence that we and apes evolved from common ancestors millions of years ago. In Kansas, they are even trying to teach creation in public schools. Like I said last semester, this IS a Christian nation. We do not have a separation of church and state, even though our constitution says we are supposed to, and it is tremendously important to view this nation in that context, and in the context of the brutal history of Christianity and its global domination, for lets look at what Christianity and Christians have brought us throughout the ages; oppression, repression, sexism, murder, genocide, slavery, the inquisition, witch-hunts, and war, endless war. That&amp;rsquo;s not to say that without Christianity there would have been no wars, but there would have undoubtedly been fewer. CHAPTER 9 Lets go back to the story of Creation and Creationist beliefs vs. what we now know to be scientific fact. We all know that the earth is approximately 4 billion years old, the universe is 13 billion years old, and humans have been around for about 2.5 million years. I&amp;rsquo;m not sure what timeline the book of Genesis gives but I&amp;rsquo;m sure it&amp;rsquo;s way off. Let&amp;rsquo;s also remember that when Columbus said he could sail around the world, everyone thought he was crazy because they believed the earth to be flat. Let us also remember that when Galileo discovered the workings of the solar system it was the church that threw him in jail, even though, I believe, he was a devout Catholic. So that&amp;rsquo;s fine if you want to say that a divine consciousness created the universe 13 billion years ago, and guided natural evolution from there, but to say that we did not evolve from apes is completely ignorant and in denial of scientific fact. Once you accept that the universe, the earth, and all it&amp;rsquo;s inhabitants have been continually evolving for 13 billion years, (the earth again for 4 billion), then you must conclude that we must continue to evolve as a species, and to resist the evolutionary process can only be detrimental to ourselves, the human race, and to the earth and all it&amp;rsquo;s inhabitants. The fact that so many Americans are opposed to homosexuality even though most homosexuals will tell you that they didn&amp;rsquo;t have a choice of being or not being homosexual and that is just the way they are and the way they were born, much like someone is born a certain skin color, and they don&amp;rsquo;t have a choice of what their skin color is going to be, they are just born with it, tells you how far we have to go, and of course most people who are opposed to homosexuality are Christians. and the less mentally stable - committing suicide, and bombing genetics laboratories and gay organizations, sad but true. Now let&amp;rsquo;s talk about socialization, gender roles/stereotypes, and misogyny. This ties in with homosexuality and religious views as well. The traditional stereotype is that the man should be manly, the woman should be feminine, and "lady-like" and no one should be gay. Little boys should play with trucks, little girls should play with dolls, and again no one should be gay. The obvious problem with this way of thinking is that people are gay, and some boys and men are feminine in nature and some girls/women have a more masculine energy. This doesn&amp;rsquo;t mean they are gay. We all have masculine and feminine components, like the yin and the yang that make up a whole. We as beings are whole unto ourselves and therefore we must. Yin is the feminine energy and Yang is the masculine energy. Now I believe that one&amp;rsquo;s own feminine energy can manifest itself in a masculine way and vice versa. If you believe in astrology, each sign is either masculine or feminine in nature. I, for example, am a Cancer, which is a feminine sign, and through my own personal and spiritual growth have gotten more in touch with my feminine side. It is interesting to notice how young boys and girls are socialized into their respective gender stereotypes at an early age. I was watching cartoon recently (to say that a 31 year old isn&amp;rsquo;t supposed to watch cartoons is an ageist stereotype) and they had two commercials on back to back. First they had the commercial with the little boy playing with his tool set followed by a commercial with a little girl playing with her "My Little Pony". Now, I guess there&amp;rsquo;s nothing wrong with that because most girls would prefer to play with dolls and most boys would prefer to play with trucks, but people shouldn&amp;rsquo;t think that is wrong if the opposite happens to be true. In recent years a man from Sacramento, CA has made national news for challenging the phrase "One nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. I always resented having to say that in school and I always new from the youngest age that it wasn't right. I'm so glad that finally someone has come forward to challenge this hypocrisy. Recently he challenged the Presidential oath at the inauguration because the word "God" was in there and he was to have his hand on a bible, I believe. Ironically on Flag Day and the 50th anniversary of the phrase being inserted into the pledge, the Supreme Court handed down the ruling rejecting his motion. When the whole thing about the pledge first started happening, where I live out in Pleasant Hill there were big SUV's driving around with these giant stickers taking up the entire rear window, which is illegal, I might add, that said "One Nation UNDER GOD". It&amp;rsquo;s an interesting commentary on the community in which I live in the supposedly liberal bay area, and just a reminder to me that if I want to change the mindset of conservative Christian America, I need only start in my own backyard. I believe strongly in the wisdom of Christ! It's just that he would not believe in the "wisdom" of Conservative Christianity if he were alive today! So those of us who want social change must go forth and spread the gospel of Jesus the way he meant for it to be spread, not the way it has been spread for the last 1700 years! But what I&amp;rsquo;ve learned from all this is that we have to see through the smoke screen of so called reality and be grounded in our own self worth. We cannot stand by while those who would seek to discredit us go about doing so while they live in a false reality. We must also be aware of our own faults and continue to work on ourselves in order to manifest our own divinity, and operate more as our higher selves. Mars Mars was once much warmer and wetter than it is today If water remains hidden below the Martian surface, it may harbor simple life forms Although Mars is smaller and colder than Earth, it is still quite similar to our planet. It has a thin atmosphere and polar ice caps, and dry riverbeds crisscross its surface. And frozen or even liquid water may exist beneath the red Martian soil -- perhaps providing a home for living organisms. But it is not the planet described in science-fiction books and movies. There are no signs of civilizations on its surface -- past or present. In August 1996, though, scientists announced the discovery of signs of possible ancient microscopic life in a meteorite from Mars. The meteorite was blasted into space when a huge boulder slammed into Mars. The meteorite eventually landed in Antarctica. Trace elements inside the meteorite prove that it came from Mars. Evidence in the rock suggests that microscopic organisms a thousand times smaller than a human hair may have lived on Mars 3.6 billion years ago, when the planet was much warmer and wetter than it is today. The finding is disputed by many scientists, and additional tests are underway to try to confirm or refute the report. Within the next few years, a spacecraft may scoop up samples of Martian rock and soil and return them to Earth. Scientists will select a Martian landing site that would have been likely to harbor life in the past. Mars looks red because iron in its surface soil long ago reacted with the tiny amount of oxygen left on Mars, making rust. Its surface is marked by ancient volcanoes and a "grand canyon" that's as long as the United States is wide. The largest volcano, Olympus Mons, may also be the largest volcano in the solar system. It towers 17 miles (27 km) above the surrounding desert. The base of Olympus Mons would cover the state of Missouri. The heat from the Martian core, which powered Mars' volcanoes, is mostly gone now, and most of its early atmosphere has escaped into space or is frozen in the surface layer. A few thin clouds still punctuate the Martian sky, and scientists think that some pools of frozen or liquid water may be hidden underground. Although it is unlikely, the water could harbor simple forms of life similar to those found in Antarctic ice on Earth. It is possible that Mars once had an atmosphere somewhat like Earth's, and almost certain that water once covered part of the Martian surface, in rivers, lakes, and perhaps small seas. Although no water flows over the Martian surface today, frost covers the north and south poles. These polar ice caps are made mostly of frozen carbon dioxide (dry ice), although the north polar cap contains much more water ice than the southern cap. If You Went to Mars Mars is more like Earth than any other planet in our solar system, but it is still very different. You would have to wear a spacesuit to provide air and to protect you from the Sun's rays, because the planet's thin atmosphere does not block harmful solar radiation. Your spacesuit would also protect you from the bitter cold; temperatures on Mars rarely climb above freezing, and they can plummet to minus 220 degrees Fahrenheit (?161 C). You would need to bring water and oxygen with you, although if you brought the proper equipment you might be able to get these from the air or the ground. View in 2005 Mars begins the year as a moderately bright "morning star" in the southeast at first light. It looks like a yellow-orange star. It slowly creeps into the evening sky during summer, and puts in its best appearance of the year in autumn. Mars is at opposition on November 7, when it passes closest to Earth and appears brightest for the year. It will shine as a brilliant "star" with a definite orange tint, and will be brighter than anything else in the night sky except the Moon, Venus, and Jupiter.
