Greetings Keepers of Time,

From the fullness of the heart of Grandmother Moon, who's been dancing with Jupiter in the sky the past few nights, as we seed-like grow and transform through these open portals into the all-that-is during this Moon of Freedom, reconnecting with the vastness of infinite possibility before being drawn into our new purpose through the dawning of the new year on July 26th, I send you stories of what's to come...

We are approaching the Year of 3 Storms Moving the Earth!

In many traditional cultures, thunder and lightning beings are the awakeners and enliveners of earth and humans. Prepare to be transformed this year, to be shaken to the core and changed. Welcome it. Work with it. This is the response to the call that you've been putting forth. Your
answer is to be permeated by sound and light, to be moved by wind and water, to become more fully alive.

The sound of tremendous thunderclaps echoes, as Storm upon Storm upon Storm dances across and through Earth, rumbling, crackling, pouring rain, blowing, and shaking down deadwood, as they activate, electrify, and transform all in their paths. Sparked by lightening, we physically develop new pathways for embodying the intensifying energetic vibrations of the coming months and years.

Earth feels these stormings too, shifting and stirring in a response so deep we feel it in our own earth bodies, the moving tectonic plates of the continents within our beings, cracking us open to a new aliveness.

We journeyers, excited and scared at the ongoing disturbance of “normal” conditions by the collision of atmospheric pressures, learn to navigate our lives through synchronicity. Taking our cue from the learnings of this past year of Two Wizards, we notice and move toward, ask for guidance and receive signs, and artfully respond to the unexpected. At moments, we too become storms of transformation, changing all in our wakes.

Storm and Earth dancing together, destroying and renewing, activating and grounding. The astrology tells a similar story, in a different language… This year we’ll see disciplined Saturn in Virgo, expansive Jupiter in Capricorn, and transformative Pluto in Capricorn, all spending significant time in earth signs, both creating and grounding changes. A major transit influencing the year will be Saturn in Virgo opposing Uranus in Pisces. This is the story of the concrete meeting the energetic to work out their relationship. Saturn in Virgo conjoins two earth-oriented, time-conscious, practical, doers. While Uranus, which brings forth stormy, electrical energies, and is associated with timing and the sudden or unexpected, will be in the vast, mystical, non-local realms of Pisces. Storm and Earth engaged. Anything could happen!

Storm years used to scare me, but I've come to appreciate their catalyzing and energizing transformations. However, it can be helpful to know they’re coming, and to get ready, just as we would for any big storm. Now’s the time to get your earthquake and storm preparedness kits together (for the physical, emotional, and energetic levels). Know what’s essential. Don't commit to anything unimportant. Gather your resources and allies.

The stormy earth-shakings of the coming year have already loosed this calendar from its old familiar ways of showing up, just as they are about to do with the rest of us. Storm demanded change –a calendar that emerges in its own way and timing, rather than being written and published in advance, and that I move even more fully into the telling and living of the unfolding story. The voice of this calendar is profoundly changed, hopefully beginning a deeper conversation between us, and with the story we’re living.

If you have an old calendar book, you might hang onto it for the chapters on how the calendar works and how to do readings, at least until we see if anything eventually emerges in the way of a new book... This is a good time to develop and deepen your own relationship with time and this calendar and your storytelling abilities. Greetings Keepers of Time - Moon 13

Greetings Keepers of Time,

Welcome to Moon 13, where we take magical flight into freedom, leaving behind the year that has been as we move through the cosmic gate to rejoin the all that is. This is a time to be present and enjoy the movement into a sense of freedom and merging with infinite possibility.

The end of the Mirror wave into the start of the blue Monkey wave in the Blue realm of Transformation is the crossover point that comes at the very center of the 260-day Tzol’kin. I think of it as the moment of transformation in each Tzol’kin round. This time around, it shows up just as we are entering the Moon of Freedom, bringing about a transformation that frees us to be much more present in our lives, and to experience a greater sense of what is possible.

The tip of the Mirror wave starts off Moon 13 in the form of the tail-wagging 13 Dog day, freeing our hearts to be present and love all that is.

The Monkey wave wants to revel in the freedom to play and play, to follow where curiosity leads and make new discoveries. Our willingness to be the Fool opens the path before us. Free of a goal or worry for what might come, we embark upon a transformative journey into the unknown.

The New Moon in Cancer offers an opportunity to be held in the nurturing presence of all that is.

By the time of the Seed wave, our growth in this past year has generated innumerable seeds, each containing the whole of its becoming. And now, they burst forth, slipping through the open portals into the all that is, free to find their way to feed and further seed what’s to come. Spread your seeds with abandon, each will find its way and know just what to do when it gets there.

The Full Moon in Capricorn shines from the peak of the wave, in the midst of the portals, feeling successful for having met the responsibility of living magically.

On the last day of the year, we enter the Yellow realm of Ripening and the red Earth wave, freed into living magically here on the fruitful earth, trusting ourselves to navigate by synchronicity.

Venus is getting ready to emerge from the underworld. Saturn and Mars are together in Leo sinking into the sunset in the west, while Jupiter rises in the southeast as the sun sets and is out all night amongst the stars of Sagittarius.

A few words about next year's calendar: It's going to be a 3 Storms moving the Earth year next year, and the profound transformations it will bring have started in on me and the calendar during the writing process. Truth be told, I'm not sure what will emerge or when in the way of a calendar for next year. Stay tuned through these emails and you'll know as I know...

Stop the Spray in San Francisco and Learn more about the planned Aerial Pesticide Spraying!!!!

Hello family, friends, and friends of friends,

What the California Department of Food and Agriculture is planning to do is incredibly significant for all of us, world wide, be we in the bay area, California, or elsewhere, because it does effect us all! The CDFA is planning to spray various northern and central California counties beginning this August (Proposed spraying will continue 9 times per year, for about 5 years!). The residue will remain in the time between sprays on everything it comes into contact with, including foliage, buildings, animals, cars, furniture, signs, sidewalks, parking meters, fences, toys, etc... (people are encouraged to be inside during the spray, which is planned for the evenings.) This will effect children, who put everything in their mouths, our local organic food supply, our local environment including the bay, and our local economy. An Environmental Impact Report has not be conducted!!! Santa Cruz and Monterey counties have already been sprayed, and residents have suffered various respiratory and other health ailments in relation to the spray.
Additionally, the Light Brown Apple Moth, the alleged pest, has been hanging around New Zealand's crops for 100 years, where they have
learned that the best way to manage it is by non-toxic means!!! --including naturally existing predators!!!

We here at Moishe House were interested in learning more about the proposed Pesticide Spray over San Francisco, and we thought you would be too—this spray affects all of us as we would without exception inhale it into our lungs, take it in through our skin's pores, and eat it on our produce (for starters)! The spray that took place last year over Santa Cruz and Monterey has already been shown to have caused respiratory and dermatological problems, and the potential that this spray causes problems we don't even know about yet is unfortunately great. In New Zealand, where the pest (the Light Brown Apple Moth) they're trying to eradicate has been present for over 100 years, control is achieved almost exclusively by non-toxic means, including naturally existing predators. Expert scientists say that eradication of the LBAM pest in California is not even possible. CheckMate LBAM-F, the chemical compound used in the first spray has not been tested for long-term health effects, and contains ingredients with known toxicities.

Tens of thousands of concerned citizens including farmers opposed to the Spray have mobilized to write letters, hold rallies and informational meetings (like ours) to try to make people aware of this very scary possibility! If we act together, it is very possible that we could put enough pressure on the California legislature to STOP THE SPRAY.

Welcome to Moon 10, where what was realized in Moon 9 becomes fully manifest

Greetings Keepers of Time,

Welcome to Moon 10, where what was realized in Moon 9 becomes fully manifest. This is a time to experience and acknowledge what is.

We continue to travel in the Red realm of New Beginnings, as our relationship with magic starts to become “what is” in our lives. As the Sun wave continues, we recognize that shining our light is enough, that burning with the same fire as the source is magic. Show up, and be willing to be the center around which people and things orbit. The New Moon in Aries on Saturday, an 8 Hand day, is a time for taking action in a new way, and accomplishing something important in the process. Things should start feeling like they're finally really happening, after many months of delays due to so many planets having been retrograde.

Then we enter the White realm of Refining, where we clarify for ourselves what the new beginning is that we’ve made during the Red realm.

The Skywalker wave comes around to take us on an adventure exploring space and time, and the multi-dimensional ways they manifest. Remembering back to Moon 1, this is the same Skywalker wave that started us off on the year, and April 12th is a 2 Wizard day, which is the kin/number for the year.

Because the year is 365 days long and the Tzol’kin is 260 days long, the kin and number that fall on the new year of July 26th show up again 260 days later, always on April 12th in the Moon of Manifestation. I call this the “walking and talking day” for the year, because about 260 days (roughly 9 months) after they’re born, babies start taking their first steps and saying their first words. So, what was born in us on the new year, we now begin to be able to walk and talk with greater ease in our lives, because we’ve lived it a full round and now come to it again with the benefit of experience.

The energy of the 2 Wizard in the Skywalker wave year now manifests in our lives, as the adventure exploring our relationship with magic becomes what is. Find a way to explore what magic is for you as spirit manifests on 10 Wind under the light of the Full Moon in Scorpio.

In the Worldbridger wave, your ability to surrender (but not sacrifice) your self in order to bridge worlds matures. Notice what worlds get bridged ~ the seen and unseen realms, relationships, home and work, cultures, times...

On 8 Skywalker, closing out the Moon of Manifestation, there’s a grand trine of Venus, Pluto and Saturn in early earth signs. Here, by bridging the earthly and other dimensional worlds of time and space, we manifest love and beauty, practically and powerfully.

Before sunrise, Venus appears just over the eastern horizon, while Jupiter is well up in the southeast.

In the evenings, Saturn is high in the south, and Mars is high in the southwest.

Why do people dye eggs for spring time...?

Why Color Eggs?
eastereggsOriginally, the Persians and then the ancient Egyptians, exchanged colored eggs to celebrate the return of spring. They also used those decorated eggs as tokens of goodwill. The eggs were often colored a bright red to signify blood and the life force.

Later, the Greeks adopted the custom and used colored eggs during their spring festivals as a sign of fertility and of the regenerative power of nature. During Cleopatra’s rein, around 50 B.C., Egyptians and Romans colored eggs as part of their spring festivals.

The custom started disappearing in Europe when the Pennsylvania Dutch brought it to the New World in the 1700s. But the tradition didn’t catch on right away. By 1880, the Pennsylvania Dutch and the Ukranians were the only ethnic groups in this country who, in any real number, still observed this quaint festivity.

Because egg dying was a time-consuming practice back then, many people didn’t have the time or resources to participate in the tradition. Unlike today, most Easter eggs were colored by boiling them with onions skins for a yellow color, hickory bark for shades of brown, madder root for red and other materials such as coffee, walnut hulls, green wheat and beets for varying colors. Dyes such as indigo, logwood, and gamboges were also used, but you had to go out and buy these dyes.

William M. Townley, a druggist at a New Jersey store, sold the dyes. One year, Townley came up with the idea of packaging his dyes, after he spilled some powdered indigo on a suit and ruined it. After that incident, he had his shop boy take the dyes to the backyard of the shop and measure and prepackage the various dyes used for Easter eggs.

This made coloring eggs easier and more convenient, and also helped renew this custom which is still observed today.

Welcome to Moon 9 ~the Moon of Realization.

Welcome to Moon 9 ~the Moon of Realization. Do you know how it is when you're about to complete something, when it's just becoming real after you've wanted it or worked to make it happen for a long time, and you can suddenly see how you'd like it to be just a little bit different than you'd previously imagined? Moon 9 is a time for doing some tweaking, as we begin to "realize" what we've worked for through our actions in Moon 8, just before it fully manifests into what it will be in Moon 10.

We travel in the Red realm of New Beginnings all during this moon, as our deepening relationship with magic begins to become even more real. We're making a new beginning in how we make things real in our lives. Now's the time for using magical approaches to engaging with what's becoming real in your life.

The Wizard wave in this Wizard year continues as we start out Moon 9 with the New Moon in Pisces on a 5 Mirror day. This is a particularly potent New Moon, coming as Mars opposes Pluto, and Uranus conjunts the New Moon and Sun. Lots of energy! Soon thereafter, Mercury conjunts Neptune. It's time to ask, "What's real here?" What we expect to see is reflected in the world we see, it becomes real to us, and it becomes real in us. The wizard has the power to move beyond expectation to an experience of the seen and unseen, where the world is ever-shifting light, where what's immediately in front of us is a small part of the much larger universe we inhabit. Step through the open door into infinity

Then, during the Hand wave, we can touch and hold to experience what is real and present, and we can shape and craft things into reality. It's a time for doing "finish work," to pull together things you've been working on for quite a while and shape them into final form. This is also a time for opening our tightly clenched fists and letting go of anything we've been holding onto that is no longer real.

The Spring Equinox and Full Moon in Libra occurring so close together reminds us of the larger cycles of the seasons and moonths within which we live and by which we are shaped and realized.

In the Sun wave, it's time to shine our light on that which is becoming real, infusing it with the warmth of conscious attention in a way that brings it alive, like the way a smile lights up a face. Spring brings the return of light to our souls.

All this moon, Venus is slipping toward the horizon as the sun rises, preparing to enter the underworld. Jupiter can be seen low in the south before dawn. All evening, you can see Saturn in the southeast near Leo's heart/paw, and Mars high in the south by Gemini's booted foot.

Stargazing Li says... we're in the moon of action, moon 8....

Greetings Keepers of Time,

We're well into the Moon of Action now. Hopefully, you've been so engaged in taking action (and dealing with the fallout from Mercury retrograde conjunct Neptune) that you haven't missed this update too much...

In Moon 8, we take action to live what we believe, and to live in integrity as we walk the attunement gained in Moon 7 down the steps of the pyramid and into our lives through the remaining Moons of the year.

As the Star wave continues, it's a time for our actions to be guided by the stars, by the gathered and encoded wisdom of millennia embodied in our most ancient stories. No matter where we are headed, there are stories to guide us, there are stars that rise and set that we can use for navigation. Find your guiding stars. Head towards them. Take action to create beauty.

This brings us to the end-beginning point of the 260-day Tzol'kin round. With the start of the Dragon wave, we enter the Red realm of New Beginnings. Coming in the Moon of Action means that we are embarking upon a new beginning in how we take action in our lives. This new beginning will be lived out over the next 260 days.

As the Dragon wave begins, Mercury goes direct, creating forward momentum as we walk through the portal into a world both ancient and new, where there is magic in stone and fire, water and air.

It's time to dream the birthing of ourselves from the blood-red earthed goddess mother during the Full Moon in Virgo total lunar eclipse on 3 Night, Feb 20th. The total eclipse will be visible in the evening in the Americas, just as the moon rises on the west coast, a bit later for those further east.

This year is a leap year, which means adding Feb 29th as a day in order to keep the year constant. I've always found it odd that we just add a day, as if the universe needed correction (or even could be). You'll notice the date 2/29 set between 2/28 and 3/1, but it is given no kin or number. Consider this a day completely out of time.

The Wizard wave in this 2 Wizard year arrives during the Moon of Action. It's time to take action to live our wizardry. What does that mean? Perhaps something different for each of us. When are you living the most effortlessly, trusting life, taking the action called for in the moment? That's living your wizardry. Now's the time to choose to live this way. It's a matter of living with integrity.

Saturn is rising in the east in the evening. Mars is high in the south all evening. Venus spends her last month well above the horizon as the Morning Star. Just before sunrise on the morning of March 5th, Venus, Mercury, and the most faint waning Crescent Moon gather very close together low in the southeast. You might need binoculars to get a really good view. Jupiter rises in the east before dawn among the stars of Sagittarius.
