I am not overly interesting, so want to use this space to move on to something that is.

Probably the most important of my interests listed above is the need for “No Power Without Accountability.” It is, perhaps, indirectly, the most important issue facing us now. Whether you are looking to Enron, TSA wire-taps or mercenaries in Abu Ghraib who are beyond the Uniform Code of Military Justice, whether you are concerned with multinational corporations who are too large to be taken to task by individual shareholders, a World Bank that spends our tax dollars without being democratically accountable to our tax payer, or US laws that are being overruled by Mexican interests because of NAFTA, the answer is the same. We need to insist on there being no power without accountability.

I had the privilege of watching Billy Bragg perform live, the phrase was originally his, but it really is wisdom for all of us.
