New Album and LA Times Article

<div>Folks--after a year of hard work (not to mention emptying several years' worth of savings) I am finally going to master my new album on July 20th! It will be available on I Tunes mid August and hopefully in hard copy via CD Baby as well. The LA Times is also going to be running a two-part interview with me in the Sunday careers section in late August. I am 98% sure the new album will be entitled "Elektrofunk", but still mulling it over.

Anyway, maybe now that the production is coming to a close I can finally reconnect with my friends! I hope all is well in your world.

<div>Ok folks....I'm not going this year due to schedule and financial issues. BM has really not ben on my conscious mind at all...however I keep having dreams about it. And not necessarily a dream about a past event--dreams about new experiences and people I have not had yet. Just goes to show you once you are intiated into Burning Man you remain a part of the tribe in your heart and mind, regardless of whether you go.</div>

<div>things are really starting to happen on the music front for me...I've been talking to some wonderful folks who are taking an interest in my music and am starting to work on booking gigs around LA/SF spinning. I got some new photos of myself done by old pal Mia (www.clingerandmia.com) and Alex La Marsh (www.alexlamarsh.com) LMK what you think!

I hope someone will be more likely to hire me if they can get a decent looking gal to spin!</div>

<div>Woweeeeeee my friends! What an incredible experience. I have never been so exhausted, dusty, delirious and happy in my life. I
expected there to be a potential druggie/sleezy factor or an aspect of contrived "hippy dippy love" but honestly didn't witness any such thing. There were plenty of folks not doing drugs and those who were were low key about it. The immense of amount of
generosity, humor, friendship, music and art totally blew me away! I think I am hooked! And DJing was a whole new experience for me. I spun at a place called Camp Dreamtree after the burn Sat night. The camp is a huge tent all done up with white--white walls, white floor, white couches/mattresses/pillows, and a massive undulating 30 foot white tree in the middle that had a glowing nucleus,ever-changing in color. The sound system was SLAMMING. 100 people were dancing to my music and huge smiles lighting up their faces. They kept coming up to me and cheering and telling me "thank you this music is so beautiful and different and exciting! where can we see you again? where can we get your CD?" People would come up, hold both of my hands and say "thank you". It is fun to hear people cheer during an intense breakdown/buildup in a song or to clap after it is finished. Oddly enough, I felt more personally connected to them standing on the floor watching them react than when I am up on a stage, removed from them and worried about my "performance". This time it was a pure "sharing" of my sound. The whole set has a cosmic, wondrous feel to it because that was my feeling while I wrote it. The simple fact that I wrote 10 songs in only 7 days is wondrous in of itself. Someone took a great photo of me in my white angel gown and elf wire angel wings. They are supposed to email it to me and I hope they remember!

When I finally drove out of Black Rock City Sunday afternoon to head home, I wept for a few minutes, just grateful to have had this experience.

Photos still getting organized, but some have been posted at:
