Is it just me, or is governmental disrespect for citizens at an all time low?

Stephen Harper's Conservatives have announced that as "Canada's New Government" they are "Turning over a new leaf" and then list their top "Five Priorities"

1. Accountability
2. Lower Taxes
3. Crime
4. Child Care
5. Health Care

This is clearly a to do list, a statement of intent to act. Number three should be of great concern to all Canadians.

Now I feel all nostalgic for the old days, when politicians pretended that they were not criminals. I feel uncomfortable when they stop lying.
