they go over your shoulders, behind your neck, and tie underneath your arms behind your back :) If you look in my art/design photo album, you'll see a group of my students modeling them :)

I'll try and get a picture today of someone modeling them - you can see the collar and ruffle along the top, and the back has a black ribbon.
