8 True Facts about Me
I'm not sure if I should thank Archie Swann for tagging me…RULES — Once you've been tagged, you have to write a blog with 8 facts/things/habits about yourself, saying who tagged you. In the end you need to choose the 6 people to be tagged and list their names. No tag backs.
1) I completely lost my lifelong passion for computers six years ago, and I haven't the foggiest idea of what I want to do with my life. I spent those last years dabbling in many domains, but I haven't found any compelling activity yet.
2) I fell in love with the English language and its literature back in high school and never recovered. However, since I learned it from books, I speak it with a thick accent. My grammatical skills leave much to be desired too.
3) I am not interested in owning things. On the contrary, the less I have, the lighter I am, the freer I feel. I'd like all my possessions to fit in a trunk or two, plus my bicycle. I'm working on it!
4) I'd like to spend some time in San Francisco. Looks like it is a nicer place than Paris for a weirdo to live in.
5) I have never fallen in love with nor felt sexually attracted to anyone. Although biologically female, I neither identify as “feminine” nor “masculine.” Strongly gendered people confuse me, and I can't communicate with het women well. I feel very defective.
6) I have been a happy vegetarian for more than five years, after a stint in a neurobiology lab which left me emotionally scarred. I'd like to go vegan, but I would miss smelly French cheeses and milk chocolate too much.
7) I can see and feel the æther, a blue, energetic, dynamic, ubiquitous substance that seems to sustain (be?) everything. It's stunning and as far as I can tell not entoptic a phenomenon.
8) I find it painful to write about myself, and to write at all. It's like scratching the walls of the prison-house of language with my fingernails. Unfortunately, it's my only available medium of self-expression.
