I've just finished my degree in Communication Studies programme at McMaster Univeristy in Hamilton, Ontario; I also took as many linguistics courses as I could handle. I am now doing an MA in theoretical linguistics [discourse analysis] at York University. My scholastic interests include corporatisation of education, particularly the effects that economically-driven structural changes have on people working within the university system (especially students and faculty/staff). I also have an interest in discourse in/on conflict, including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (and especially media coverage of this).

September's here, everything's exploding into information overload, and I'm looking forward to digging in with a vengeance.
