Mask making

I'm working on a mask made out of fimo. I'm trying to get the bit at the top to look like an orchid, but I'm not that happy with it at the moment. Maybe once I paint it.

Would you consider using a silk orchid instead of a clay one? or would that just look like a mish-mash?

I think a silk orchid would get dusty and tattered over time. I'm reluctant to use anything but Fimo for this really- that way it will all age the same way over time.
