WTF?
Tue, May 22, 2007 - 12:37 PMOkay, for what? Well, an accident on March 27th this year.
Okay...I haven't had an accident since the 1st of January 2005. In a blue Ford Bronco. I don't own one, nor is there one on my policy...I drive a Saturn.
In LA, at Slaussen and La Brea. The last time I was in LA was in November, and I was off Laurel Canyon...and I don't even know HOW to get to Slaussen and La Brea (where is that, anyway).
Oh, and the guy driving the car was named Issac Smith. Who? Issac Smith. I don't know any Issac Smith. You don't? No. In fact, that last Smith I knew was Tom Smith, and that was 10 years ago. Oh.
So now I'm totally confused. Blue bronco? In a place in LA I've never been? By a guy I don't know? Excuse me, but I think perhaps there's a problem here.

Ummm...you didn't offer any personal info over the phone did you? Could be someone trying to trick you into releasing information under duress...or...possibly a case of identity theft. Could someone have obtained your info to get insurance, registration and a car?

Sounds like a serious problem to me. Definitely talk to your insurance company. I think someone screwed up somewhere.

woop!woop! red alert!
Sounds like fraud on the part of the nice young lady who called you in the first place. If not, then certainly fraud on the part of the party who says you hit them in your invisible, two places at once secret car. If so, then your insurance will certainly be happy not to pay up.
I'm wondering, is it possible your crazy ex is somehow on your policy; or using your insurance info when need be? I have a hazy memory that he was a kind of special fellow in ways like that. Good luck! I hate having to deal with trouble when I didn't do anything wrong. |

Damn I hate crap like this. Like all the others have said, call your company and get to the bottom of it as fast as possible. We've had a few near misses with our admin details before. Makes me ill just thinking of it. I really hope this resolves itself quickly and painlessly.
