portland's forest park is the largest municipal park in the united states with nearly 70 miles of hiking trails. adjacent is washington park which contains the oregon zoo, rose garden, and japanese garden.

today i was needing some medicine and i went to the park to hike and then i visited the japanese garden. what a beautiful healing space. i have a slide show on photobucket that you may see:

I too have gone to that park for solace. As a matter of fact I went into labor with Elijah River in the Japanese Garden!

Thank Merlin, the energy reminds me of a Taoist temple that I used to go to ..................A beautiful calm space and the Vegetarian Food was wonderful too!

you're really lucky to have all that, just there and waiting for you any time. We have greenbelt here in my community but the trails are very short and don't connect, so it's walk 10 minutes, turn around and walk back same way.
