I'm also very surprised that it made it to the screen at all, considering the subject matter His Dark Materials deals with. I chalk this up a definite score for our side. ;)



I hope it's successful, as I think our mass culture could use more from where this came from. A lot more.



Go see it. Take your kids (or someone else's kids) to see it. They'll probably thank you for it sometime in the future.

Ahem.

This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time, more for the stunning architecture than for the food (which is quite tasty as well). It's in Little Five Points, in Atlanta.



Unfortunately, it was too smokey for tyrsalvia when we were visiting odessa_deville last week, so my Vortex hunger remains unfilled. Hopefully next time!



Also, awesome job I did of catching the edge of my finger in the shot with my cam phone (which does not show the full frame of a photograph in its display in camera mode). I need a new camera pronto!
