A City of Hope fundraiser in honor of Lou Genise was recently started by his friend Samantha. EVERY DOLLAR WILL BE MATCHED BY OFFICE DEPOT!! Please read on. Below is a message from Sam... Hi everyone. There is one more thing all of us wanted to share to add in the celebration of Lou's life. Lou was such an inspiring performer. Performing and being creative was a very important part of who he was. And after speaking to several other friends, we all agreed - how awesome would it be to celebrate Lou's light by dressing up in all of our performers' garb in memory of him??!! Our dear friend and brother, Lou Genise peacefully transitioned early this morning at around 3:23am on Friday February 13, 2009 at his residence in Echo Park, CA. Lou was surrounded by his family and very close friends who were there to support and love him in his last hours while in his earthly vessel.
