I use 1and1.com, and they have pretty decent packages, depending on what you need, of course!

laughing squid
laughingsquid.net/Might work for you depending on what you need. It feels like a local company because it is. (Scott Beale, the founder is a friend of friends. Just noticed that John Law is 'special projects coordinator' which makes me wonder about their special projects.) Okay you moved to Philly, so not quite local to you, but you know what I mean. Anyway, minimally $8, and you get quite a bit for that. |

I've been using www.a2hosting.com for a few years and am still happy with them.

for E-commerce, (billing, selling stuff, etc, I use fastcommerce.com
I've used one and 1 before. As a non tech webpage builder I found you had to know a lot of code to make it look OK. About $50 annually Mac.com is good- they have templates for a fast and easy setup. network solutions offers a lot of feaqtuers, but will run about the same as yahoo, if not more. godaddy is about the same as 1 and 1. |

www.dreamhost.com are the shit! They have packages for under $10, and give you a lot of bang for the buck.

For the uptime and service they can provide, $12 seems like a good deal to me. |

I have been using lunarpages I thing I paid like $49 for a year. stoopid amounts of space, 10 domain, ridiculous bandwidth. I was wondering how they can do it for so cheap, then I realized prolly 95% of the people are like me that never use it.
They are good if you are used to red hat control panel servers. What do you need it for. I have plenty of space to host on mine if you want |
