<div>My roommate found out I filed a police report of extortion against him as well as moved out with the majority of my belongings. He has not only threatened to kill me on the phone but said in an email he will do bodily harm to me if and when he sees or finds me. I've contacted the police but an actual report will take 7 to 10 days. Restraining orders take 2 days and would require me to miss work which could get me fired.

In the next few days I will be deleting this account to further protect myself.

If anyone emails you requesting information on me, PLEASE do not give it. He may very well offer a "reward" for my location. There are many things he is lying about and he has shared those details of what he is telling my profile "Friends" and my employer.

If you have any questions wondering if they are true or not true either ask me or delete me.

My pissy letter to the chief of Police in Austin:

I want to know why it takes an investigator 7 to 10 days to respond to a call from someone who wants to press charges / file a complaint against someone who has said he (X Hutchinson) "is going to kill me." I can understand 24 hours but 7 to 10 days!?

I'm currently waiting for a call I hope I'm still alive or the guy who has threatened to both kill me and said in an email that wants to do bodily harm to me IS JUST trying to scare me......

Received a call within 2 minutes form the police investigator's unit telling me that 311 gave me bad information and I can go in at any time to file a report.

100 Things To Do Before You Die' co-author dies in LA ..... --> Silly picture day

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/midnightorchid/blog/4bd9f54f-a819-43b8-89e0-2c4606d50465"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/d75/0c3/d750c3c5-ca79-4379-8773-62c1d82a79d5.thumb" width="65" height="65" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>LOS ANGELES - Dave Freeman, co-author of "100 Things to Do Before You Die," a travel guide and ode to odd adventures that inspired readers and imitators, died after hitting his head in a fall at his home. He was 47.

Freeman died Aug. 17 after the fall at his Venice home, his father, Roy Freeman, told the Los Angeles Times on Monday.

"This life is a short journey," the book says. "How can you make sure you fill it with the most fun and that you visit all the coolest places on earth before you pack those bags for the very last time?"

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080826/ap_on_en_ot/obit_freeman

How weird this is. I am glad to read he went to at least half the places. It's funny or odd but last weekend I bought the Austin book of weird places and people with the intension of having a photograph day with a couple of friends going from place to place. Just a day of silly fun with the day ending (hopefully) playing miniature golf and sneaking in a bit o drink for immature fun. This reminds me just how short our lives can be and we really need to have fun whenever possible ... even if it is only five minutes of laughing for an unknown reason other than laughing.

So with this in the front of my mind I'm posting a date for a day of silliness and not really needed but wanted photos. I'm inviting anyone and everyone who wants to go on the Austin weird tour. Unless there is a big event I'll set the date for Sunday Sept 14th at tentatively 11 am -- this date could change as I'm just making it up right now.

Feel free to dress up in any style -- jeans, costume, Burner, pajamas -- whatever you feel like. Take a couple of outfits if you like.... it's a whatever day. Whether I have a group of 3 or 30 I'm doing it. However with a group of 0 or more there are a couple of cool places we can see that must have a reservation of 10 or more. Some of the places may have a entrance fee but I will try to have everything be free.

<div>OK

I've been a hamster long enough and I'm ready to get out of the cage. Still sitting on the wheel pondering how much the robbery sucked but at least I'm not running it any longer.

Weird enough -- I've been listening to (audio books) Mark Twain, Rudyard Kipling and even some Oscar Wilde, which has been helping to lift me from my funk. I love Mark Twain the best.

Tonight I met a friend for a little treasure hunt shopping and than dinner. We talked and talked and talked. Afterwards we went downstairs to the playground and had some childish fun by crawling through the plastic tunnels and crossing the wooden bridges and sliding down the slides. They didn't have any swings. What kind meanie doesn't put a swing set in a playground set?!

We did some brain storming for next year's FS festival and costuming and events.

I feel better.</div>

<div>I've spent all day and most of the night sewing. So far I've made
a blinkie (fake) fur skirt
furry sandals
a rock n roll sorta looking cowboy hat
a pirate themed torn t-shirt
and started working on a flame patterned sweetheart cut dress....

However, it has helped to take my mind off it but still in my funk. I’m seriously thinking of doing something really silly or childish or just boring tonight so I can try to get myself out of this funk.

Paris Hilton is thinking -- God help us!!!

<div>“I’m Paris Hilton, and I approve this message — because I think it’s totally hot.”

In truth it's cute and I'm glad to see she has a sense of humor...but does this mean she may start thinking? One step at a time honey....Not too fast.

Copy / paste

America's Election HQ

"Socialite Paris Hilton is getting even with John McCain, after he used her image last week in an ad mocking Barack Obama as an international celebrity.

Hilton released a Web video of her own Tuesday saying her inclusion in McCain’s ad must mean she’s running for president.

“So thanks for the endorsement, white-haired dude,” Hilton says in the ad, while sitting outside in a skimpy, leopard-print bikini. “And I want America to know that I’m, like, totally ready to lead.”

The tongue-in-cheek video is laced with age-based insults. Hilton may not be known for her trenchant wit, but the two-minute spot is a satirical blend — part “Daily Show,” part “Legally Blonde.”

In it, Hilton lays out her point-by-point energy proposal, after reading an article on where to get the best tan. She muses about painting the White House pink, and then signs out with a semi-traditional campaign disclaimer.

“I’m Paris Hilton, and I approve this message — because I think it’s totally hot.”

The Web video was posted on the site Funny or Die, after Hilton’s representative and her mother both criticized McCain’s campaign for using her image in his ad.

After getting a chuckle from the video, McCain’s campaign released a statement.

“It sounds like Paris Hilton supports John McCain’s ‘all of the above’ approach to America’s energy crisis - -including both alternatives and drilling. In reality, Paris Hilton may have a more substantive energy policy than Barack Obama,” spokesman Tucker Bounds said."

Gallery Lombardi - found out the artist's name

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/midnightorchid/blog/09849f6d-2af3-45e3-98bf-b7dba7a0af2f"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/539/d9c/539d9c08-6878-4b7b-aa1c-80c2f8f3497d.thumb" width="65" height="12" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>I forgot how much I love to dress up in a beautiful gown for a night on the town. We 3 (our little group) dressed to the nines in out version of erotica for Gallery Lombardi's Erotica 08. That is one of the things I miss about Los Angeles. People who look forward to dressing up for gallery &amp; museum event openings and musicals. I think one of the sexier things in life is formal apparel. A man in a nice dress shirt and dress pants – not necessarily the tie as I hate most ties. But there is just something very sexy about a man in a nice dress shirt casually standing in an artsy environment.

Hipnautica did an amazing job with the music. As it fused with Roscine's Butoh inspired performance, the atmosphere slowly, seductively morphed into an ethereal globe. It was apocalyptic and it pulled in any remaining restricted energy and sent it back out cascading through the air.

http://www.hipnautica.org/index.php

After Roscine's performance, the music flowed into a tribal beat with erotic undertones with the tribal drumming of Aethyrflux and Blue. The drummer had a deep baritone type voice and a heavy hand on the drums. The combination of both Sky's deep voice in combination of the drummer's their voices gave the fusion an otherworldly feel.

After the musical performance my group met some new friends and we all stayed around to chat with Roscine and one of the accompanying drummers – Blue. The gallery displayed some very well done pieces. I saw some pieces that rivaled "professionals" and could easily find a home in any Los Angeles or New York gallery. During one more tour of the gallery, we met a couple of the artists. One woman who had made a beautiful fabric and wire art piece of a vulva was shyly sitting near her piece. Thankfully her boyfriend took it upon himself to let us know she was the artist. We chatted with her and took a picture of her and her piece so that she would have a picture to remember the night.

Unfortunately our feet were hurting from the heels we wore and all of us were in much need a drink. So we reluctantly left for something cool and delicious to sip. We thought we would go to just to any bar we came to that was closest to Lombardi. However the first bar we came to was playing country music to a crowd that didn't seem to happy to see us in our casual and not so casual attire. Thankfully there was a $10 cover charge so we decided to go someplace else

As we were leaving we saw a copy writing a ticket to one of our party’s car. So I ran across the street and using my best please batting eye lash smile asked him to please not give my friend a ticket. He looked at me in my gown and saw one of my friends in her gown and must have thought we were part of some kind of wedding or guests to a theater performance. He said if she moved the car right now he would throw away the ticket. YEA!!! It turns out that the cop had already called a tow truck as it was parked in a police only space. The parking times sign was not apparent.

Knowing we were not going to find another parking space close by, we all piled into her car and drove over to Oilcan Harry's. Our group was welcomed with open arms and us formal gown wearing girls were especially ohhed and awwed. We definitely caused a few heads to turn as we walked in and headed to the bar. The bartender made an amazing chocolate martini – so yummy. On the dance floor we found our spot and being able to no longer take the stress, I took my boots off and encouraged the others to do the same. The music wasn’t exactly what I prefer to dance to but it had good beat so we spent a good part of the night dancing with each other and our dance floor neighbors.

But after a while even that was tiring so we decided to cross the street for coffee, hummus and conversation. The problem with wearing a long gown and no shoes is that the hem trails behind you. As we were walking towards the door I lost the taffeta hem to my dress. Oh well at least the satin back of my dress has no damage.

What an amazing evening. I was so tired and slept in late…Can’t wait to do it again.

Hopefully I will have pictures to post later this week. </div>

<div>I’m working with Hipnautica and they’re looking for someone with a video camera that can do some recording. Doesn’t have to be professional but should be able to hold a camera decently still. In exchange Sky will definitely give credit and free entrance to their next show. </div>

<div>At first it’s sorta cute being hit on by someone more half your age. Than it just sorta becomes highway bum in the rain annoying. (There’s a difference between bum &amp; homeless.) I started talking to this youngish kid that emailed me from a different profile. Who knows why but I was bored and we talked and then I gave him my phone number. It’s airhead week for me apparently. Now he sends me cute little text messages with cutesy lovey dovey starters, but he’s a kid – mentality wise. It’s like talking to a teenager who doesn’t realize he’s gotten older. He seems like a nice guy but I can’t go on a date with someone I feel like I should be patting on the head. :P

Gonna have to be a grown up and say I’m not interested.

However…. I think I may temporarily (only temporarily) not discourage someone else. He’s a double whammy -- musician and artist. Do I get any “it’s ok” bonus points if he makes an actual living at it? :P At least he's my age :)

Working 8 hours and than costuming for a friend -- assiting her with costumes actually. Than I'm making a small supply of colorful fetish giveaway gifts for anther friend, thinking about the immediate future and the distance future and working on other little projects of my own in the now. Geeking out by trying some new social networking web sites, researching mobile technology and thinking about making a couple of somethings for Labor day weekend.

Great events are happening and I'm looking forward to seeing the results and how they mix with the unexpected.

<div>When going to a party it's a really good idea to know (prior to arriving) what kind of party it is. Costume party, dinner party, movie party, poly party.... I had a clash of events Friday and had to dress for Elysium to meet and greet while going to a Friday night party beforehand. As I sometimes am -- ok-- as I am more often than not, I was a bit oblivious to my surroundings in a friendly environment.

Even though I (both of us as I went with someone) felt way over dressed everyone was really nice and friendly. Most people were in jeans and t-shirts -- there were a couple of half nakids and corsets walking around. I was definitely dressed for Elysium. However, I had met three new people within five minutes and was encouraged to play a party game -- didn't get it.

Signed up for what I thought was a cute teaser kind of game. Met some more people and explained I couldn't stay long even though a nice gent was trying to convince me otherwise. Did some interesting flirtatious people watching -- still didn't get it.

Chatted with some people, saw a couple of people getting a nakid, others getting 'real friendly' and others just socializing -- nope still didn't get it.

I didn't get 'it' until the person I went with told me... Oblivious Grrl arrives again! LOL

I love Lake Travis and I had wonder half mile swim (with two others) from the boat to the land lover's bathroom. However transforming from mermaid to reptile wasn't as graceful as I had hoped. The rocks were hot and not easily climbable without shoes. No worries, the water felt glorious, the company was fantastic and I'm actually getting a tan from my days at the lake. Again, a bit oblivious I was told later that a not too bad looking of a guy was asking, "what's her story?" Ummm -- Snow White &amp; The Seven Dwarfs? :P

Working with faux fur is ridiculously frustrating and amusing at the same time. Every time I work with it I end up looking like I was involved in a Muppet orgy. It never fails to amaze me how tiny bits of fake fur end up everywhere even though you have vacuumed, changed clothing and showered. I still love faux fur though and it's worth the frustration. I'm learning how to better work with the fur and not try to force it to do what I want. I should start thinking about making or at least altering a couple of jackets for the upcoming winter. I found a great thrift store treasure recently. The jacket by itself is interesting but it needs some "umph!".

A couple of other things I found interesting

Volkswagen has published a site called “Volkswagen 2028.″ Volkswagen’s 2028 daily life design is a scenario of futuristic stress free automotive mobility. The website starts off with a short movie set in 2028, where a Andy Griffith type father and son take a walk talking about old times where you had to search for a parking-lot and how great modern day is. According to VW the future is all about smart, on-demand car delivery services, skinnable car exteriors and the death of traffic jams as we know them in our current world. VW researchers and designers have created their visions of electric-driven Single Occupant Vehicles, holographic projections, gesture-controlled dashboards, and emission free automobiles. While I really like their vision, I really dislike the design of the cars. They look way too much like the cars from I, Robot – no genuine individuality. The industrial influenced music at the end was a nice touch as well.

Here is the web site in English

Microsoft Plays Practical Joke On People To Convince Them They Like Vista

" It's no secret that Microsoft has a bit of a problem on its hands concerning the general public's impression of Microsoft Vista. The fact that people regularly joke about "upgrading" to the previous OS version, XP, is clearly an issue for the company. So what did it do? Apparently, it played a bit of a practical joke on people, getting them to play around with Vista, while pretending it was an early version of the OS that will come after Vista. Microsoft was clearly trying to get quotes out of people about how cool it looked -- and the company carefully made sure to get users of a wide variety of operating systems (Mac, Linux, Windows XP and Windows 2000, according to the site). While it might come across as a neat little publicity stunt, it does give you a sense of just how bad Microsoft's initial marketing campaign was. In order to make up for it, the company had to trick people into trying out Vista. Ouch"

Raw Feed:
"Microsoft gathered together more than 120 Mac, Linux, Windows XP and Windows 2000 users and told them they were trying a future version of Windows code-named "Mojave." In fact, they were using Vista. On Tuesday, Microsoft will unveil the results of their little slight of hand on this web site:" http://www.mojaveexperiment.com/

My voyeur little self can’t possibly miss witnessing this.

There are a lot of different upcoming events happening in the future (most I’m part of) that I'm excited about, but it's a bit early to mention. However, I'll definitely list them as they develop. My life just got busy but in truth, I love it.

PITTSBURGH - Randy Pausch, a computer science professor whose "last lecture" about-facing terminal cancer became an Internet sensation and a best-selling book, has died. He was 47.

Pausch was diagnosed with incurable pancreatic cancer in September 2006. His popular last lecture in September 2007 garnered international attention and was viewed by millions on the Internet. In it, Pausch celebrated living the life he had always dreamed of instead of concentrating on impending death.

He told the packed auditorium he fulfilled almost all his childhood dreams — being in zero gravity, writing an article in the World Book Encyclopedia and working with the Walt Disney Co.

The one that eluded him? Playing in the National Football League.

"If I don't seem as depressed or morose as I should be, sorry to disappoint you," Pausch said.

He then joked about his quirky hobby of winning stuffed animals at amusement parks — another of his childhood dreams — and how his mother introduced him to people to keep him humble: "This is my son, he's a doctor, but not the kind that helps people."

Pausch often emphasized the need to have fun.

"I mean I don't know how to not have fun. I'm dying and I'm having fun. And I'm going to keep having fun every day I have left. Because there's no other way to play it," he said in his Carnegie Mellon lecture.

Sky is not only a great performer but an incredibly nice person. He really works his ass butt off for all of the performances. If you have a moment, please vote for the band.

Website
http://www.hipnautica.org

"Hipnautica has been compared to many but ultimately they forge their own path. Refusing to placate genre classification... Hipnautica weaves organic electronic sounds into a foundation of tribal, techno, industrial and dub grooves backed by powerful male and female vocal harmonies, live world instrumentation, tribal drummers &amp; percussionists.

A vote for Hipnautica is more than a vote for a band though. Hipnautica is a tribe of creative individuals. We incorporate performance artists, beautiful dancers, mesmerizing visuals... into a high energy show like no other... we create atmosphere and a sense of euphoria... we challenge the status quo and represent a paradigm shift.

Not that there is anything wrong with alternative guitar based music or punk bands but help Hipnautica get out from under the radar and show the world that Austin does offer more - support independent music in Austin. " </div>

    </a>
<div>I’ve thought long and hard about where I want to go for Labor Day weekend. There are obviously a lot of places I want to see and explore. But I can’t keep my thoughts away from Seattle.

From the current research and inquires I’ve made it’s not as friendly as Austin
From the last time I lived there the shopping isn’t as plentiful as Los Angeles
…and the Burner crowd doesn’t seem nearly as welcoming as almost any other city I’ve researched.

What is it about Seattle? I don’t know. I miss it for some explained reason and I think I need to go back if even for visits. Maybe I’ll never live there again and only need to visit once in a while. I don’t know. But I daydream of walking through Pike Place Market and U District keep piercing my mind. Thoughts of fantastic Calamari – the only good place to get perfect calamari haunts me.
The Ballard locks
The troll
Driving over the water bridges
Seeing a sunset off one of the many cliffs
Walking through Freemont artsy district
Seattle Center’s water fountain :)

I don’t know. I just feel like I have to go.

So….. I guess I’m going to Seattle.

<div>I love fabric shopping way too much. I could get lost in a sea of soft and colorful fabrics and swim in an ocean of inspiration of all the things I could make.

I went fabric shopping with Feathers (for Burning Man) and a couple of times I had to remind myself I was there to help her :P We found some really nice and not too horribly over priced fabrics. They had McCall patterns on sale for the dirt cheap price of 99 cents…. If I thought I could make a living off it, all I would do is sew and create costumes…. I need to learn better sewing skills though … and buy a new sewing machine. Sigh.

Feathers found a fabulous gently used Burner coat. I got great ideas for next year’s FlipSide theme camp. I’m in the process of recreating fake (almost real looking) plants for the back yard AND my roommate just showed me one of the garden tomatoes -- it’s perfect! The squash look a bit alien… but as long as they’re tasty.

Last night’s doctor / nurse themed party was a freaken blast! The co-op house was really nice and reminded me of Seattle. Some of the costumes were awesome. I went as a western influenced witch doctor. The majority of the costumes were doctors, nurses and sexy Frederick’s nurses. But…

Lucy from Peanuts showed up as well as the patient from the game Operation. A doctorate arrived with Dr. Larry Croft – Womb Raider :P
But J was one of the very best. She came dressed in medical patient wear with REAL restraints and was drinking bourbon and coke from a urinal. Someone else who worked at a pharmacy had placed M &amp; Ms in the push pill packets and labeled them Chocotoxity.

Tonight – staying home and watching a movie.
Tomorrow -- mural painting? Maybe.... if not... that's ok </div>

Police community representative dodges more than answers

<div>The issue: Austin Police Chief wants officers to draw blood for potential / suspected crime occurrences.
http://www.kxan.com/global/story.asp?s=8581029&amp;rnd=552.5117347010923

I just came back from a city community meeting to specifically address community concerns. When it got to the main reason everyone was there, the attitude of police officers and Community Representatives (police officers themselves) completely changed. Suddenly they were no longer friendly and open and willing to address concerns.

They tried to end the meeting without addressing the main concern and the mixed crowd from mothers to business owners to activists to residents turned ugly… it was almost a riot. It would have if not for a mother who had sternly told the downtown head representative that they need to confront the issue or face a possible riot.

Even during this confrontation of issues, the public was treated as if we were stupid, liars and trouble makers who made up rumors just to cause problems. We were told several times that we were wrong and we misunderstood and read online sources that just made up rumors to make the police look bad. When confronted with the source of our concern (the police chief himself telling a local television station) the representative suddenly went cold and quiet. If he could have run from that room he would have.

During this time the officers (non representatives) surrounded the audience in preparation of a ‘out of control’ occurrence. Two other community representative officers had a brief say. One only spoke to tell members that cussing wouldn’t be tolerated – understandable but the vibes she gave off was chilling. The other officer was forbidding but at least he didn’t accuse the community of stupidity. He simply said what was the current policy and nothing more.

However, as I looked over at the other community representative police officers I saw that specific officer roll his eyes, laugh at our questions and smirk as jolly as Santa whenever the audience became agitated.

The community leader consistently covered for the chief of police’s public address in a bad attempt to not create more angry eruptions and outcries. He fruitlessly tried to dissolve facts into internet fiction by accusing the community that we had no idea what we were talking about and by completely underestimating the constitutional knowledge of the people.

Police Attack Wyoming Family Gathering -- children shot with rubber bullets

<div>Children were shot with rubber bullets --this is ridiculous! It's bullshit!

"U.S. Forest Service officers pointed weapons at children and fired rubber bullets and pepper spray balls at Rainbow Family members while making arrests Thursday evening, according to witnesses."

Other witnesses recounted seeing about 10 officers of the Forest Service’s incident command team drag an older man from the woods near the Kid Village. “They chose the kiddie village — the one place, the kids, to take their stand and create a riot, and I bought into it. … They were looking for an excuse to do some damage to us.”

YouTube -- of course someone got some of it on video

Spread the word and let the government this kind of treatment isn’t acceptable… Isn’t creating terror a terrorist type activity? Something to think about….

...or is that a term, cataloging or entitlement that only our government can use? </div>
