Living with HIV/AIDS

There has been something on my mind a lot so I decided to write about it here. I'm sitting here watching the movie "Jeffrey". This movie came out in the 90's and yet is still has a strong message that everyone, gay, straight, bi, whatever, should watch. For those of you that have such a hard time with those 3 little letters (H.I.V.) you should probably watch this movie 2 or 3 times. If you can't seem to understand that concept of those of us living with HIV/AIDS then this movie should move you. If not, than maybe you should look deeper in your hear and soul. People living with HIV/AIDS are still human. We still have feelings. That means that we have a right to live happy lives. To find someone special. AIDS is not a death sentence and it's not some "hot club" to join. (For those bug chasers) People living with HIV/AIDS live in fear and rejection on a daily basis. Those who have learned to live with it and not let it get the best of them, I tip my hat to you. For those of us who live in small towns that have to hear on a daily basis that we don't deserve to be happy get so tired of feeling all alone. So, again....if you are having problems with people living with HIV/AIDS or you have talked to someone with it and have decided that you can't even be friends with someone with it, then "Jeffrey" is the movie you NEED to watch. In fact, I challenge you to watch it. And if you still have the same ignorant fear then YOU are the one with the problem. And it's you that my heart goes out to. I am a man who just wants to be happy. So stop making me feel like I'm less of a human being because you can't accept me for who I am.
