OMG
Head made (just needs a bit of fruu fruu), fuckin fierce, amazing, firey (hopefully) AND it moves around.Multiple peeps, many hours including todays......arriving at the box shop at 5pm tuesday and stating loudly that we (me and rosa anna) were leaving at 10pm and finally leaving the shop at 3pm the following afternoon!!!
Oakland - here we come!!!!!
Mills is back on the "Setting shit on fire" gig
Oh YEAH BABY - 10lb fire extinguishers with 1/4 inch solenoids REALLY does work very well indeed....infact it fit the roof of the boxshop - YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAAYAAYYAYAYYAnd we are gonna have 36 of them!!!!!! YYYAAAAYYAYYYAYAYYA, computer controlled YAYYAYAY
we also ran John's fabulous venturi for the egg - with iron filings sparkle poofs - especially when you bang on it with a wrench!!!! YAYAYYYAY
Steve Co got them both on video, it looks fuckin AMAZING, must remember to grab that off him to relive the moment again
OK then - only joking
But the manlift is WAYYYYYY coolStuff
Well I haven't written in here in a while - I think this is more of a lead up to teh playa thing for me (sorry true tribers), but it is that time of year again and my extremities are tingling for that place and my community that i love soooo much.So what is happening - Simon left in December and I started to live my life again. I miss him, but I DO NOT miss the agro of him being around. We were initially on a separation but in my heart I knew that kiss at the airport would be the last for a LONG time. He was blazen at first with nasty comments about how much he didn't miss me or San Francisco...but that changed and then he started on this "I have changed" and "I am now the perfect person for you" and all that GREAT stuff!!! LOL pitty he didn't follow that up with going to my parents house and telling them we were married (which I only did so he could stay in the USA and try to find a good job etc etc....) AND tell them I was a addicted to the white stuff (nice hey) - Yeah he has really changed !!!!
So.....anyway fuck all that shite on with my new life :)
I have been a complete couch hussy - I have no real reason to go home except to get more clothes and clean up my DVR which constantly seems to be at 100%!!!! There is Miss Rosa Anna who has been there with me thick and thin and her couch has been my home for many a night. Charlie and Poon REALLY looked after me at Christmas - they took me in and I basically stayed on their couch for the entire period and had AMAZING FUN!!!! Infact it was the best Crimbo holidays for a LONG time, definately better than the year before when I was disowned by my parents and was reduced to a toddler privilages whilst in England!!!!
So, anyway on New Years Eve we were trying to decide where to go when Josh walked into my life. I had met him once before at the Duck Club (suprisingly enough the same place I was leaving when Simon told me about his mum and that he was going home). The first suprise was that I remembered his name - I never remember peoples name!!!! So we hooked up (the next day, but that is another story) and have been 'hanging' out ever since!!! It is soooo nice to have NO stress about having someone else in my life, he is fab and he gives me tools (check out the cresent with the slidey thing instead of the wheel - Oh Oh and the self-adjusting pipe wrench for up to 2 inches!!! He is a wrench too in his wood shop in Vallejo, so I get to play with big tools and big machines and and and and he has a manlift thingie which is REALLY cool!!!
Keep getting a little ancy because off all the 'its too soon' and stuff like that - but to be honest I have known me and simon were over for years (if I am to be honest with myself it was before I married him, but he is my best friend and I wanted to give him a shot in America - which he didn't take, but anyway) so I am now comfortable with it AND there is no way really why I wouldn't be - Josh is GREAT and he listens to all my babble, even when it comes to Simon!!!
So - that is me for a while, except to say HAVE YOU SEEN THE FUCKIN THING WE ARE PLANNING TO MAKE THIS YEAR??

mills
Need to clean up my profile
This is Old stuff that I have no where else to put :)May 2005, whats goin' on in Mill's life right now
Well I have started on a new avenue in life - its called Caroline's build shit time. I have always liked doing that kind of stuff, but had never really had an output for my need, well unless you count Simons use of me as slave labour on many cars over the last 12 years :).....anyway I digress (I have a habit of that as you possibly well know, at last years burn we were camping with a couple we didn't meet until we hit Truckee - friend of one of my campmates - so we get to our spot and he starts unpacking a dome - OMG they are the best thing EVER, I have envyously seen so many the year before but I had NO IDEA how the hell someone would go about making one, (my main improvements for 2004 did include lots of EL and flashy things (well I DID tell you I was a hippy raver), and we got the kitchen to a tee - even labelled trash cans for recycling etc, a large airy tent and silver tarps to allow snoozing until lunch....ooh OK back again - so the dome , thats where I was isn't it??? Michael ROCKS, he gave me a taste of how frickin easy(ish) this stuff is if you think about it, pipes cut, flattened, holed and stuck together with nuts and bolts - FABULOUS, so 2005 will have a geodesic, sofa and possibly (if I wish really hard a school bus).
Right so this is kinda multiple stories at once, but bare with me.......back to building stuff, with some fire thrown in for good measure FLAMING LOTUS GIRL's ROCK, me and Rosa Anna EVERY NIGHT last year oooohhheddd and aaahhhhhed and got far too close on many an occasion at the seven sisters last year and we were there for the post burn dawn firing of electra :), where I took a picture that I showed to the FLG's at Decompression and I emailed them about 5 piccies, then they put them up at a Gallery show they did in March which I helped out with then I showed up at the Box shop (with Rosa Anna (of course) and later Simon) and we are helping them build the pollo flambe (www.flaminglotus.com/ornith), well actually I am now a flaming lotus (YAY - we get to build and set fire to things All Year then at the burn I get to do it all week, including added bonus's like riding in the Star Car and being at the front when we BURN IT - how frickin' cool is that !!!)
So onward is my building phase when Camera Girl has some 'stuff' at the web team meeting about going to the Playa for the DPW workweekend, I said HELL YES and off course, so did my chicky too (R-A) and as a perfect extra bonus our fellow census data-entery project manager Matt (now aka (Re)fried) and off to the desert for me :) LOTS of fun was had and I got to weld even before I started with my FLG workshops (Steve23 ROCKS (and yes, off course, you do too Diva:) plus all the rest of us metal-monkies like Creature who thought that a nice set of leaf-springs were too good for a burn barrel (not off course saying that Burn Barrels kick ass too) and we should make them into a springy chair, needs a bit of work but I think it is the next big thing!!!
I have just got back from my second DPW WW (hence my ramblings) and AGAIN much fun, work and food (Spoon et al ROCK) was had by all. Frog was fabuous (tadpoles and all) but Trego is seriously too much with all that hot bubbly stuff under your tootsies - and led in the back of a pick-up truck back from the springs (going though Gerlach to avoid Lake Lahonton) with old and new buddies looking at the star filled sky in the usual playa spacey (my brain that is) 1.30 in the morning thing then on to the playa at the 8 mile entrance and down to 3 barrels (or 52 yahoos) with the playa streaming behind - FABULOUS. Also fabulous that finally Simon is slightly getting over his whole British-bloke-ish'ness and joining me on my exploits both on the playa and building firey burds, although it will take a lot to get him to come to the web team meetings!!!!
So in-short:
I am liking life and things are evolving again, which is good cause last time I felt stagnent I decided to move my operations to a place 4000 miles away from my original location!!! now I am sooooo content with my FLG, DPW, BM in general and all the FABUOUS buds I have met along the way - You know who you all are and you all KICK ASS
May 2005 also - Jumping out of a plane is the COOLEST thing ever and next time I shall be doing it without a large hairy german on my back!!!
Fun with google / drunq humour whith mills

(add this to the end, tribe is being a pain)
I particularly like:
burningman is spreading because we don't really have any competition
and
burningman is not a nudist colony
