Viva Mexico!

Life is sweet here in Mexico. We swim, kayak, hike and even the bad things arent terrible...David stepped on a stingray and felt its wrath. His foot is still in tact and he is still smiling. The water is 80 and the days are warm. Lots of wildlife aside from us :) We are getting ready to do a passage to Banderas Bay for a cruiser "racing" event. I am now the Commodore of the Punta Mita Yacht and Surf club so we gotta be there for sure! Turkey day will be had out on a few boats rafted up today. I hope all of my friends are well.

Travel thoughts/suggestion?

So once again I am hoping my fellow Tribers will help me out with at decision. So whaddya think in terms of a couple week vacation : Europe or Australia. They are both fascinating and new to me and though it isn't my decision to make I do have some pull when it comes down to it :) It will be around July of next year...so we have time to look into both but toss out some ideas for us. Your input is appreciated :) PS I am annoyed because I worked on a stupid collage of photos for this blog specifically and I am getting an error message that the image file is invalid so I am sad! Wait...got it! Yay.

Yup so we are getting ready to depart to Mexico again and we have a few new investments. We bought a couple inflatable kayaks and we took them out for a spin. Wow, I was seriously impressed with how nicely they were put together and how they handled in the water. So since being on a boat is not full of exercise all the time...aside from beer drinking, sail hoisting, trimming and sex, lots of sex this should be a nice way to keep active. The dinghy will still be effective for landings in surf, but the kayaks are fun to cruise around in and go boat to boat on. Anyhow that's the latest update. The boat still floats and we are still in love! Good times.

Tribes impending doom?

So yeah I am sad to see that Tribe is slowing down in every kind of way. I too would leave this place, but this is where I have met so many cool fucking people and places to go. So if you are pondering about leaving and wanna keep in touch let me know and we will work something out. I am leaving for sailing in a month or so and I will be gone (with frequent internet abilities hopefully) but I am hoping that Tribe doesn't die while I am gone. So yeah I am on MySpace, Facebook, and BonoboWay as well as this tribe account. I'll be around and I hope my friends will be too.

Baby Seagull rescue part 2

Coronita the baby seagull survived the night. By morning she was standing and alert. It was a big change from last night when she couldn't even hold her head up. I called the SPCA and got transferred to the wildlife center. I spoke to a woman, got directions and was on my way. I took her in and told the woman at the desk the story of how we got Coronita. She estimated Coronita between 3.5 weeks and a month. Well I am sad to see our little beaked love child go, but I was told that there was another baby seagull in need of company at the SPCA. Yay for Coronita.

While we were walking down the dock to the boat i saw a blob in the water. It looked like a dead bird, no big deal. It moved! David reached down and picked the lethargic chick from the water and set her on the dock. We walked away and continued on our tasks. I am an animal person so I decided we would rescue her. We bundled her up in a towel and put her in a Corona 12 pack box. We took her home and she is looking better already. She even made a peep...her first since we have had her. We decided to name her Coronita. If things work out in her favor tonight I will take her to the SPCA for proper care tomorrow.

Wow what a night. I wont be drinking like that again for a while. I think I polished off 2 bottles of champagne and a few beers before calling it a night. We took my dad out for a sail for the first time before the drinking began. It was a nice day and my dad seemed to enjoy himself. The dock party got started soon after and it was a blast I, I even got a marriage proposal from my friend. I asked him last year so this year he asked me on the one year anniversary of our first proposal haha. The fireworks are always great especially from the boat. It was a great time, but those kinda parties should only be had one or two times a year. I think my liver needs a recovery day today : )

I am just relaxing from a busy day of cleaning. I managed to clean the apartment and ventured to the boyfriends work to tidy up. I had some shit stored there that I have been getting rid of. I did it. I am down to 2 boxes...2!!! So after all of that nonsense I am relaxing with some champagne. The daughter is going to spend the night over at a friends so this picture has multiple meanings...heehee. We have sex when she is around, but now noise is not a factor lol!

I feel the need to jump on things. Like passing grazing cows while driving I really want to pull over and jump on ones back. I know cows aren't particularly exciting to ride though. Really though I want to ride and ostrich. A huge bird that can haul ass has my respect, but I still wanna jump in its back and hold on for the ride. Just thought people might wanna know.

I found an adorable floating fuzz ball that was quite photogenic. He was sleeping and cleaning. After half an hour of hanging out and watching him I found out that otters snore. Too cute.

I wanna get tax free money and not have to work for it so I can sail around the world. Is that so hard to ask for? Any ideas? I am back for a few months before leaving for 7 months again. Maybe photography or donations haha. I dunno. I have come to terms with this new lazy work free life that I now officially lack motivation to be part of the corporate machine. Oh well, such is life.

That is pretty much all I have to say. I am living a dream and I am so happy everyday. My life doesn't suck. We go out for the day and instead of twisting concrete jungle we see dolphins and other people happy to be where they are. Perfection.

Banderas Bay Regatta

Well it continues on. We are having fun racing, but today we blew the jib. Hopefully it will get repaired in time for tomorrows race. There are plenty of boats that will are trying to steal me from Sooner Magic, but I am doing the ""loyal" thing :) Man, sailors know how to party. We got toasted lastnight. I was giving a lap dance to Richard and the chair broke. Thats just an insight to the fun had by all lastnight. Well we have been waiting for the Banderas Bay Regatta to start on thursday, but in the mean time we have been able to check out the Mexico Ocean Racing Cups. It started by getting recruited on to a J160 called Blue. We raced the Govenors cup and took second. Yesterday we went sailing on Profligate (the Latitude 38 boat) to crash the MEXORC party in Caletas. We had a blast. I am excited since today I get to go up the mast and fix some stuff. The mast is probably 80 feet off the water. There is also a match racing event of the two Americas Cup boats one will have all Mexican crew and the other all American. It is going to be a busy rest of the week. So many boats to sail on and so little time!

The only way to tell how big he is to look at the anchor in the first second of the video, the anchor is at least a foot wide and then look at the manta which is much much bigger.

Hey kids!!! Wow, I have had nothing but fun since leaving Monterey for Mexico. We are now in La Cruz. We just finished a fund raiser regatta like thing. I have met so many fun people. I met my new wife : ) Anyhow I figured I'd touch base and let you know I wasn't dead or anything. I miss chatting with you all, but this is pretty awesome. I'll work on getting some pics up. Salud!
