about me
I'm a fun-loving Christian woman, mother of two awesome children, grandmother to a beautiful baby girl (whoot!), sibling to a bunch of brothers and sisters and auntie to a slew of nieces and nephews (whew!). I adore animals and own a very smart 10 yr-old Yorkie and three lovely felines. I love dancing (ballroom, rhythm, belly, country, um....all of it!), swimming, fishing, horseback riding and everything else outdoors, and I'm a rabi... er.. avid reader. I have a cool camera and really enjoy using it. Oh, and I also like fast cars with mean engines; can you say "2009 Camaro, oh baby!" : )

The good: I received a promotion!
The bad: After losing 30 pounds, I've been stuck at the same weight for two months.
And the ugly: My first belly dance recital. Diametrically opposed from my first ballroom performance in every way. : (

I definitely have more hip action in a normal walk than I did before dance. It's about 50/50 vertical and horizontal, and it tickles me to no end. I was a soldier for eight years right out of high school... feminine mannerisms haven't always come ...

In the last ten days, I have spent 18 hours dancing and another 19 in dance-related activities. As much as I love it, I'm thinking a break would be a nice thing right about now. : )) If for nothing more than to let my poor, 42-year-old, out-of-shape, crying for mercy body recuperate. LOL!
