Spring Caravan
Haven't made a blog post here in a while but as most of the tribes I belong to are bellydance related, it seems just the thing to make a post here today.A group of four other gals and I from our tribal fusion class have formed a fast friendship and in turn, decided to create a small triblet which Miriam came up with the fun name "NebunFem" (Crazy Women - so apt, really lol) a couple of months ago. We called in this morning and managed to get a noon spot on Sunday May 6 for our first ever performance. We have a lot of work to do to get ready but family and friends are already excited so we'll do our best not to disappoint them or ourselves. We know our teacher Peggy would've been so proud of us just for giving this a shot.
So we're going to have a good time and it'll be nice to do more shopping for pretty things and see other friends there as well as some great performances :)

Being on Livejournal, I see tons and TONS of those pointless listing memes where people tag each other and prattle on about what their favorite color is or who inspired them or whatever.*sigh*
I hate these. I'd much rather read an account of how your day went, no matter how boring you think it sounds because it is more genuine than one of these lists.

Pet peeve
Ok, I've been guilty now and then of the their/there/they're typos now and then, though I'll catch them later on my journal and mentally thank the person that lets me edit. However, there's one error lately that is driving me crazy.Lose/Loose.
For the love of all that is sacred, people, learn the difference because you look uneducated when you get it wrong.
There have been SO many instances of "I need to loose 'X amount' of pounds," and it's difficult not to correct them. Unless they're going to take those pounds and release them on other people like they're setting the hounds on them - it's LOSE, not loose.
Ok, I'll stop blathering now. Just...come on. Please.
