Liisa is beautiful. She's one of the most beautiful women that I actually know. Her kindness scrubs your grumpies like sandpaper to an old weathered deck.
I'm not saying this because she looks like she could pass as a member of my family. I'm not saying this because I'm jealous of her amazingly stunning locks and striking features. I'm not saying this because she loves clams and that makes me smile.
I'm saying that Liisa Lee is deserving of only the best in food, drink, men, housing, job, life, liberty, and only the BEST happiness that could ever be bestowed upon one human. She's amazing, and I'm glad to have her in my life, no matter how great or small.

I first became aware of Liisa in the 2007 Spring season of the RPF. We'd had a run of thefts that had really demoralized all of us, and Liisa was particularly demoralized because something she'd borrowed from someone else had been stolen. But Liisa didn't let this keep her down for long. Instead, she organized a raffle to raise funds and replace some of the items that had been stolen. Based upon her word and charisma, people and booths from all over the faire donated prizes and bought tickets to raise money and replace some of what had been stolen. Her energy, enthusiasm, and warmth helped rally what could have been a horrible season, turn it around, and get it ready to also have a record breaking year at the RESCU Rally, even though she was not directly involved in that effort. Liisa has really demonstrated what it means to take the lemons that life hands you and make lemonade.

I was just some bum who hung out at the Bell but Lisa always greeted me with kindness and playfulness...and she plays WOW so what could be better?

It was a really grand evening last night. Small crowd full of faces I was thrilled to see and the band is smooth as ever....
It felt great to be " home" in such a casual first dip in the water back.......and even news of a wedding - i love such good news!
and then I was off to Pas to swing the rest of the night away at Lindy Groove with some of the coolest dancers in town.

I wasn't there and I'm sorry I couldn't make it!
Life has been wonderful, busy and I was too crazy with time commitments to be there.
And 9 more hours to go of seminar tomorrow....on a Sunday - yeesh!
I'll make the next gig and my friends - I salute you! ( in the good way and not that Ppthththhth kind of way)
