"people are always making reference to the past, but my own thought takes place in the present, in all its depth and reality. i would like to help shake our age up a bit. i want to find that strength. that's what makes my work stimulating. but it's difficult. i always find it difficult to speak about the future. how will people dress in a few decades' time? and since we can't seperate dress from the rest of society, that question becomes, "what will life be like, and society?" i simply think that the present moment is a bit behind itself. put another way, the way we think, the way we live and dress has constantly to be projected a little into the future."

The Water's Edge
I was in a tall sky scraper in a beautiful, gleaming city. Looking out at a clear blue sky and sparkley deep blue water. The tall buildings were very modern and I had a view of it all. Next thing I'm looking out over the ledge and somehow transport down to the street where I find myself walking behind the lovely Miss Velvet Cream. I could sense it was her from her walk and clothes. That little bobbed head directed to a single place..the water's edge, where she goes for inspiration. There was a mysterious ancient island with a beautiful fortress made of brick and iron. I had never been to this place before. I was astonished as I took in everything. Ruffles brought me back to the present task.. following.. layers of black and white, ribbons and whatnots.. then i was blinded by the sun.

I looked at Scatha photos, and I just thought how amazing it is that she has done so much. I remember her telling me when Dune was born that she has resigned herself to not being artist for the next 15 years because all your energy goes into the kid.
Well, Dune has turned out amazingly and I am sure with rock this planet more that most aspire to. As for her mother, your creativity has made your daughter the genius she is today.

Oh my . . this woman.
Single mother, designer, amazing friend, understanding, compassionate, honest, beautiful, waaaaaaaaaaaay outside all boxes of the boxes. . no she burns the fuckin box. Patient. . .wheeeeeeeew. .
She has allowed so many dreams to come true for me. I always wanted to model, do hair and make-up. . now I do. . .and its fun. . .we're professional but we ALWAYS have fun.
She is doing things as best she can everytime, learning to be better after every experience . .
She is going to 'make it' and it will be because of her integrity, hard work, and FUCKIN TALENT. . .did I mention that or do I need to . . .look at her pics already.
