Fearless enough to confront that which haunts her soul and strong enough to exorcise her demons consciously, constructively, I salute my precious Humanoid. Indeed, her tenacity and insight is not of this world, and in the few months I've known her, she's taught me much.

Ask H. about the pursuit of self-actualization and she'll likely answer to the tune of, "We're spoiled and lucky to have the downtime to indulge our emotional musings." Really. Think back to early last century when one's life expectancy was short and provisory obligations stifling.

Ah, but it's a new millenia and H. is neither overextended nor poking holes in Maslow's Hierarchy. She's continually challenging her beliefs and practical applications of same in a way that inspires not only me, but all who are lucky enough to know her (poetic edict mine).

It's hard to know where to begin. Who can write a testimonial about a such a dynamic creature? This woman is the best kind of trouble. Can you "handle it"? She can handle pretty much anything, and then up's the ante. She's a survivor, a hard charger, a style goddess, a tender flower, and the lil ball of joy who roars! A twisted sense of humor, and an infectous laugh that's frightfully tingling. She watches the watchman and she's got your back no matta wat! Impeccible taste, conviction, spine, fedelity, integrity and a vampire at will. She can dance to your beat. She can dance to just about any beat...b/c she beats her drum. She's know's many, trusts a few, and paddles her own canoe....

Straight up funktified, groove junky with a lot-o-sass. I'm a no nonsense kind of kitten who's a straight shooter. What you see is what you get. I'm a little on the wonky side, but well meaning and a proactive psycho-sexual test pilot.

A Manufactured Being, Part Human , Part Extra Terrestrial and Part of a Test Population in some whack experiment.

I can't quite explain the extreme sense of loss I feel after hearing that Michael Jackson is no longer with us.

You know, before today, I could never understand the phenomenon of people "fans" crying over someone they didn't know. Now I understand. When I heard that he was gone there was a sense of disbelief. It just never dawned on me that he would leave this world. I've been bawling my little eyes out. I GENUINELY feel and mourn as if I have lost a dear and old friend. So many nostalgic ... read more

Wow, it's been quite some time since I've shared a part of myself here on tribe.

I went on an adventure within myself and made some glorious discoveries.

It's so amazing what you can discover when you allow yourself to boldly go where your ego hasn't ventured before.

Whoo Hoo!

A friend asked me this question and here's the answer I gave........

I am happier for the following reasons;
1. I have a greater understanding of what it is I don't want in my life, in the realm of romantic relationships.
2. The act of obtaining a greater understanding to my own desires and needs, is fulfilling.
3. I am now free of directing my energy towards something and someone which does not suit me or add to my sense of emotional/romantic satiation.
4. Freedom makes me happy.
5. ... read more

Every day that passes, I become more in tune with my inner selves.
I have traveled down some dark corridors. Every action has a consequence, be it good or bad.
Not only did I dance with the devil, but I almost let him walk away with my soul.

Like success, I know the devil reveals him/herself in many forms.

Mine happen to come in the form of a substance. I will refrain from naming that substance because I don't feel the need to.
If I did, I feel I would be pointing the finger and nami... read more

I just came back from celebrating my birth and my existence, in the desert.
I camped out in the Mojave Desert with mi amore and we had the best time!

My inner child was released.
I got down on all fours and scaled the sides of baby cliffs.
I rooted around like an animal in the wild(which in reality, I was...)
I got desert dirt under my nails from hunting for crystals.
I lied naked in a clearing of these teeny tiny yellow flowers. It was as if I were floating in a vibrant yellow oce... read more

~Quotes~

We all know, from what we experience with and within ourselves, that our conscious acts spring from our desires and our fears. Intuition tells us that that is true also of our fellows and of the higher animals. We all try to escape pain and death, while we seek what is pleasant. We are all ruled in what we do by impulses; and these impulses are so organised that our actions in general serve for our self preservation and that of the race. Hunger, love, pain, fear are some of those inner forces which rule the individual's instinct for self preservation. At the same time, as social beings, we are moved in the relations with our fellow beings by such feelings as sympathy, pride, hate, need for power, pity, and so on. All these primary impulses, not easi ly described in words, are the springs of man's actions. All such action would cease if those powerful elemental forces were to cease stirring within us. Though our conduct seems so very different from that of the higher animals, the primary instincts are much aloke in them and in us. The most evident difference springs from the important part which is played in man by a relatively strong power of imagination and by the capacity to think, aided as it is by language and other symbolical devices. Thought is the organising factor in man, intersected between the causal primary instincts and the resulting actions. In that way imagination and intelligence enter into our existence in the part of servants of the primary instincts. But their intervention makes our acts to serve ever less merely the immediate claims of our instincts.

How can I accept a limited definable self when I feel, in me, all possibilities? Allendy may have said: This is the core, but I never feel the four walls around the substance of the self, the core. I feel only space. Illimitable space. .... I have accepted a self which is unlimited.

Anais Ninn

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Mark Twain

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.

Albert Einstein

Occasionally in life there are those moments of unutterable fulfillment which cannot be completely explained by those symbols called words. Their meanings can only be articulated by the inaudible language of the heart.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

There is a light that shines beyond all things on Earth, beyond us all, beyond the heavens, beyond the highest, the very highest heavens.
This is the light that shines in our heart.

~Self~

There is an important distinction between Self and ego-self, in that, Self is our spiritual identity, and ego-self is our physical identity. In our spiritual Self lies the full potential of our creative genius. Self is the right-brain proprietor of our personal unconscious and our only access to the universal mind. The collective expression of Self is the providence of man. The nature of Self could be described as the divine dweller within each of us, who only "sees" through the trust and innocence of consciousness itself, with no judgment and no blame. Motivated by the principles of wholeness, the character of Self is compassion, openness, and peace.

~Enlightenment~

Here is a great definition of enlightenment:
to be immersed in and surrounded by peace. Your highest self only wants you to be at peace. It does not judge, compare or demand that you defeat anyone, or be better than anyone. It only wants you to be at peace. Whenever you are about to act, ask yourself this question: what I am about to say or do going to bring me peace? If the answer is yes, then go with it and you will be allowing yourself the wisdom of your highest self. If the answer is no, then remind yourself that it is your ego at work.

The ego promotes turmoil because it wants to substantiate your separateness from everyone, including God. It will push you in the direction of judgement and comparison, and cause you to insist on being right and best. You know your highest self by listening to the voice that only wants you to be at peace.
