Just as a follow up to my last entry, here are some pix from my day out in the field. Really a nice area, mostly grassland/farmland but developments encroaching from all sides... I don't have any pix from when we were in the creek because I didn't want yet another camera to meet with an accident...

looks like a lovely day at...ah hem...work, Yost. loved the owlet pic in the barn. not sure about the mature owl, though. did you ever figure it out?
