so yeah, neuroscience and drawing? people like to ask what it all means, and i grin and tell them that i like to poke brains. and then draw on them!! muahahahah! beware...

much has changed in recent years. i love the work i am doing now at UCSF -- I study the formation of the corpus callosum (the bundle of fibers that connects the two hemispheres of the brain). I work with mice, which is challenging, but very rewarding. I have gone to burningman, the last two times with Dance Dance Immolation. (www.interpretivearson.com) I love to dance, to move, to feel my body just let go into the music. I like looking up at the stars while laying on a grassy lawn, watching them move and wondering if they really are. I just got married to a boy I met in the woods in mendocino, ca, who coincidentally grew up 8 miles apart from me in CT. We have a plague of black and white kitties. We live across the street from golden gate park, in one of the most beautiful places I've had the joy of living in. I'm studying for the MCAT, and want to pursue medicine. I like fuzzy things.

I will not tolerate aggressors, pushers, liars, manipulators, or any other people who take joy in the misfortune of others. I also will not tolerate people who can not admit to their own mistakes, own up to their actions, or otherwise make the effort to be a conscious human being who makes decisions. I've been burnt too much by too many people, and I am looking to bring people in my life who will enrich it as I will enrich theirs. Casual social interaction is nice, but I've found San Francisco to be full of fleeting interactions, flakes, and scene-sters. I'm an east coast girl (well, first generation US born of Iranian parents) -- I like to chat over hot chocolate, play games, have dinner parties, and really make the effort to get to know somebody.
