Hey all, i'm finally at a wi-fi connection that I don't have to pay by the minute, so I can do more leisurely internet activities like posting to tribe. At the moment, I'm couch surfing at some guy's house in Hamilton, New Zealand. This picture is from Paihia, where they have all sorts of water-based activities like diving, parasailing, boat tours, etc. But it wasn't all fun and games.... I got pretty sea sick on the boat tour in the bay of islands and retched like 4 times. NOT FUN. Then I was queasy for the rest of the day. We drove around for 5 days in a rental van, that was cool, because we could just camp wherever we wanted, it's called "freedom camping", someone told me that. Great way to camp when you're on a budget. Sleepin in a van down by the river! Anyway, signing off for now. More updates to come!

in 4 days i will be at the at the Portland airport preparing for my 13-some hour flight to Auckland. I'll be gone till Sept. 28th with Laura, hopefully going to go paragliding, spelunking, and maybe bungee jumping! Sorry in advance for all the things I'll be missing, I'll be wishing you all were there too!

I'm going to Beloved fest this weekend, I got my tickets when they were still discounted, so I'm going for sure. Anybody else around Eugene going?

Yesterday I put a stack of CD's at the New Odyssey Juice bar, for an insanely low price of $1. If you haven't gotten one yet (or two), get 'em at 10th & Willamette, before they're all gone =)

Found this link in my gmail's news ticker bar. Couldn't resist clicking. Turns out, a bunch of kids had their retinas burned by high powered lasers inside a dome (they refracted off the ceiling of the dome back into their eyes) Just a warning for any promoters who have the bright idea of putting lasers inside party domes, lol...
