the quiet within
so many thoughts for the future. that mysterious thing. will it be what i dream of. what i sculpt from life. new things. more of what i know. deeper. simple contentment shared with those that i love.Windy City Walkabout
Holy bejesus....i think my head is imploding. Five and half days of non-stop adventuring and discussions with 800 women bloggers from all over the world still has me reeling. This might have included an unexpected bus ride through Cabrini Green projects, a deconstruction of artificial intelligence and technology during breakfast, sleeping in a quiet sun dappled park across from MoCA, or maybe more homemade Greek yogurt than you can shake a stick at, even quite possibly dinner in Chinatown with 32 other foodies, and definitely a heartfelt Q&A with Elizabeth Edwards.Could it get any better? Hell ya! How about having a local Chicagoan chauffeur you around for a day, including an unexpected stop at Finkl steel foundry to watch them fire the crucible...it creates the kind of noise and heat that travel in and out and through every core of your being.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the view of Lake Michigan I woke up to every morning. Freaking amazing. All of it.

we just spent a long weekend where the goal was to relax, love, drink wine, eat good food, and listen to the ocean waves. i think the world would be a better place if we all had to do this more often.ps: i pimped the license plate. heh

life just seems to be zipping along these days.....i've been writing, but more and more just for myself. wanting to capture those moments that i know in a couple years from now will be hard to remember. for all that i love connecting online i find that it means more to have a few secrets. things that i share only with my beloved.New Years Geek-a-Thon
So what do four geek boys and one girl do on New Year's Eve? Play games, eat gingerbread, and drink champagne of course!Scene From My Life
This week I'll be posting a daily photo from my hometown in Berkeley, California to the blog www.SceneFromMyLife.com. I'm pretty excited to be a guest blogger so I hope you'll wander over to see what I'm sharing.Giving Thanks
I could say a lot about how great the day was...that we had wonderful food, sunshine, and gorgeous views...but what really matters, what means the most, is that I was surrounded by folks that I love.Day of Decadence
Today I slept until eleven and then had brandy soaked chocolate cake with half a bottle of champagne for lunch.......cause that's how we roll in the East Bay.| 1–10 of 27 | ‹ | 1 | 2 | 3 | next |
