Hello Friends! Where to begin..... This trip has been an awakening of spirit and a birth of new ideas and new movement of energy and peoples. What a gift my life has been and I wish I could remember that more. “Careful navigation” is what I tell people. I love the mystery of me, you, us the exploration of what one thought they would not. It is all a journey and fun is definitely a frame of mind. This is my moment and I am enjoying it to the best of my ability. Hmm...YES..Ok so my Birthday just passed i am now 37 officially moving away from my mid 30’s and geez its allright. It seems to me that leaving your 30’s is harder then entering your 40’s your 40’s hmm i think you are forced to embrace, maybe, finally adulthood and yer 30’s seem like the last bit of that younger youth idunnow maybe that sounds off but it sounds right to me. So on a Pre Bday celebration about 7 of us whent and had cocktails at a very high rotating bar in tha sky, great view of Sydney, then off to a bday party for some stylist with Sydneys groovey folk, it was a masquerade, so, I drew a mask on, as there was not one in sight. The night was fun but I was bit low energy as i had rock climbed all day at the indoor rock climbing place ...pheww ok that was fun but left me a bit spent. At the party some kid doing”performance art” walked down the stairwell with a girdle of puff pastrys with cream and selectively tore them off and shoved them in to peoples mouths, yes my mouth seem to be the first target, it was pretty good. As my Bday approached i was off to Brisbane. Lionel had a museum exhibition and what the heck it was my bday. brisbane was odd i lost a necklace injured my foot lost a hat and then ended up on a beautiful island off the coast called stradbroke, big surfer place in that lifestyle. Stradbroke Island was amazing. The Island is about 50 km long. The south end is mostly marsh land but the north end is excellent. We be friended a local guy who ended up driving us around the island to the two lakes and doing some 4WD, it was loads of fun and the truck he has is aweswome! it is from Russia and just the coolest truck/car. One of the lakes had a sweet rope swing and the other was a tea tree lake with healing properties for the skin. the 3 nights went by fast. Our cabana’s were cute as can be it was very hippy and very mellow. Did all the cooking in the co-operative kitchen and it was just very family. As I am coming to a close on this trip i feel like i am more,....... hmmm, embarking on a journey that had been planned before i had any idea, life is giving me a reason and a sense of awe!! That I experience over and over again but somehow in the daily grind I forget about them too. It’s nce to rediscover this feeling and I think i want to hold on to it and not forget it so often. At the end of the day a life filled with travel, good friends, beaches and lakes, animals, rain, thunder and lightning, sun, food, wind and moon, stars above to fill my eyes. I get to be witness to this and for this I say Thank you for being witness to me! for reading my life and allowing me to tell you my story! Breathing in Australia

Hi friends and family, Or should I say Good Day Mates! So my awaited trip to Australia happened with hurdles of course. I was to have left on the 17th of Feb. but as fate would have it, I arrived to the airport with my old passport. I rushed home but with no luck did not find my new one. Grrr, well this is the life of "ME" how badly do i want it? I guess pretty damn bad over the next few days i jumped over towers to get an emergency passport and find a new seat that was in similar cost to rebook my seat, $480.00 later i had my seat and new passport and was on a jet plane to Sydney. What fun would my life be with out these mishaps? I must tell me self no fun! so that i can thoroughly enjoy the moments that seem to be so stressful. On arrival my friend Lionel picked me up at the airport and he and his house mate Leah and her son Riley welcomed me with much love and attention. Hardly a moment to spare i was at a meeting for costuming at hoop dancer Bunny Hoop Stars house. I will be in the Mardi Gras parade with the australian collective of hoopers called the HOOPAHOLICS, we will be behind a grand float in a our trashy glitter punx costumes giving it good to the spectators. This week i will be making costumes for lionel and I, Imagine glam rock turned punx rock with safety pins bleach and lots of glitter. I am very excited and will fill you in all the mischievousness after the Mardi Gras on the 3rd of march. Yesterday, Leah, Lionel, Riley and myself went down to north Bondi beach. Lionel was to be in an Independent film. Well, in one scene there is a a TV in the background and he is is on the TV with his fanatic disciples on the beach, of course, they through me into the mix...... so voila my indy film premiere. I have a jam packed week ahead of me. I have already booked 2 hula hoop dance gigs, one at a pre Mardi Gras event and the other at at a post Mardi Gras event. As fate would have it the normal guy hooper that would have these gigs that Bunny (who is the heart of the hoopaholics) has hired me for is not feeling so well and to my advantage she has hired me for them. Thank you universe! for taking care of me and i hope Tim starts to feel better! So that he can step back into the shoes that I have stepped into for the moment. It's an overcast day today which suits me well. It is warm and nice and feels like one of those overcast summer days in L.A . I am catching up on some bills and washing some clothes and taking it easy. Lionel has to work on a sculpture so I am on my own but when Leah returns an overdue haircut will be in the mix. The Mayan Calendar Yeterday! Aday of significance

Tomorrow, January 17th 2008 is a very significant day in the Mayan long count calendar. It is exactly 1800 days to the end of the cycle on the most commonly agreed correlation date of December 21st 2012. This means that it is exactly 5 Tun (a cycle of 360 days) or one Holtun (5 tun). The day sign is 11 Ahau or Sun. This is significant as the end of Tun and Katun cycles always fall on this day sign and the last day of a cycle is considered the name bearer after which the cycle is named. For example, we are now in the Katun 4 Ahau which is named after the last day of the cycle on 21.12.2012. The Maya, as is recorded in the Books Of Chilam Balam, associated these days with particular prophecies. Each Katun has its own energies according to the prophecies associated with these day signs. We are now shifting into the last Holtun, which means we will be in the last quarter of the last tun of the whole long count- a cycle of 5200 Tun! I think it would be reasonable to say that the jaguar priests of the Chilam Balam would view this as being very significant indeed. There is also a nice piece of mathmagic that appears in the day count, if we translate it into decimal numbers. Tomorrow will be 1870200 days into the cycle. The cycle completes at 1872000. It will be interesting to observe how we experience this shift energetically. What we can definitely say is that we are now living in the very end days of the great long count cycle.

well, its almost full circle and what has been learned is preserved and what must be discarded is. Its hard to believe that 2months can float by so quickly but it has and its time to return to california as Joni Mitchell had put it and resume life but not as i knew it. I come home with a plethora of ideas, love and inspiration. I bring home my storytelling to share and the beauty of what is mankind, connected we all are even when we don 't want to be. ahh i breathe in your smell and bow down to it................... on a nother note hoopin with hiostory is evolving and transforming right before my eyes, ore to come. be well and breathe.

It does not seem like 2 months, time sure flies by when you are having fun! My travels to see friends and go to language school in france are sadly coming to an end but i bring back with me a pocket full of incredible memories and some interesting ideas for my future. Life has been very exciting and i look forward to reinventing it in the days to come. Transformative? possibly, definately eye opening. These travels gave me a chance to step out of my familiar enviornment and not be distracted. The language school was great with much time by myself and the french language. It was a great experience and I look forward to improving my language skills. At the moment i am in southern switzerland with a dear friend and its been great being able to deepen our friendship. Tomorrow i head back to Berlin to soak up the electricity of this very amazing urban city. My hoopin with history photo series is coming along and i have some ideas of what to do with it but at the moment it is still evolving. I have had a taste of everything from life in a yurt to a swimming pool in a river in the middle of berlin. It is a great feeling to travel and remember you are never alone and how connected one is to everything and everyone like it or not. I have managed to put some of my tales to pen and realized the importance that documenting your life can have and even more so the sharing of storytelling with loved ones. Till we cross paths. Be Well and don't get in the way of what your life may have to offer. mm

I now see how i have just taken for granted growing up bi-lingual. It s been fun but I will be happy to move on to the next leg of my journey. Hey friends been a while since i checked in. Been hiding out a bit, well it is winter even though its L. A. Life has been good but i am hella of soar....... been throwing myself back into my yoga practice but it still feeels good, the body remembers quite quickly. Still gearing up for france this summer, for those who dont know i will be away from May-Aug in europe visitng friends and studying french in ther south in a place called Aix-En- Provence. Really looking forward to it and to just floating for a bit. I have not done that in several years and my body and soul are crying out for it so I will honor. This week i will be on the road to NEw Mexico to visit one of my dearest friends of 20 years WOW!! gotta love that. When you can click after a minute with no time lost no matter how long its been since you last visited hoorraayyyyyyy for those friends. Then again it seems thats how it is with everyone that i adore in my life these days! Well, my butterflys any tips, connections, places i simply can not miss you get the picture here, please feel free to send me anything you think i should know or people i should know or......... guess thats me for the moment feeling pretty simple at the moment and things are almost clear. LEtting Life happen and not getting in its way.......................xo M

As we fall out of the year into 2007 i find it funny how fast 2006 came and went. One year older, for sure... one year wiser who knows. This may be revealed to me tommorrow or maybe never. Does one ever really no ones self? Maybe, if so i Would like to meet this person. What i do know is that its very important to not let dreams be dreams. Something you wanna do, do it! That I know for sure. I have always wanted a 3rd language. So next year im off to France for 3 months to study french. If it all goes well I will return with a better understanding of the french language. To learn these kinds of things its always best to immerse yourself in it. Thats what i believe. So if any of you have any suggestions of things or people in France that I must see feel free to drop me a line. I will also be travelling a bit in Europe. In a few weeks I will begin documenting my process of preparing for this trip on video. Just documenting my life as i lead up to it. It should be fun since i am involved in alot crazy shit with some pretty out there and right here people. We will se how it turns out. peace out for now

Today I awoke and started a very needed liver/gallbaldder cleanse and to top it off I started a Rolfing series. Man, i feel great im sore and enjoying the flushes and it feels great. My body has been wanting it but we get sidetracked sometimes and forget the importance of honoring yourself and the vehicle that allows you to be that. A friend has invited me to journey with him to my Mexico, land of my ancestors to witness the great celebratioin of the Day of the Dead festivities on a very special little island. Funny thing is my mama and I iwere just speaking of this place. I really enjoy good timming. Its looking like i may need this adventure. Someting is waiting to be learned. As usual.

8 things to reveal about myself that friends may not know: #1 I spent my 18th birthday in pushkar, India #2 I lived in a communal house hold on the big island of Hawaii, we were all devotees of Mata Amritananda Mayi #3 My dog of 7yrs just passed away and I am a bit sad at the moment. Just missing him. #4 My mom does not speak english and i love that about her. She also makes the best nopales and pinto beans you will ever eat. #5 I am the baby of 6 brothers and sisters the oldest being 55yrs old. My oldest sister and my mama were pregnant together. I am a great uncle of 2 #6 My great aunt was the midwife of the village my parents were from. Anyone in my family 50 or older was delivered by her at home. she was an herbalist or also known as cudandera. She delivered 100's and 100's of baby's. #7 All of my cats when i was a kid were named kitty 1,2,3 ect.. unless the cat was the mama then she was mama kitty. #8 I was a part of the original dance music scene in San francisco in the early 90's. I helped to promote and decorate "of Course" the legendary Wicked parties. these are some of my fondest memories. I had the privilege of being at some of the first renegade parties in california, the monthly Full Moon Massive's to the infamous Night Train Parties that would pop up on some dead end street under a freeway in San Francisco, Good times ...really! So I went to see MY BARBARIAN last night at the Red Cat Theater. They are a damaged art pop rock band that just left me feeling damn good. Their Lyrical use of storytelling and their ability to weave sensitive themes throughout their performance yet not take them selves seriously was brilliant. It was a very simple set with no frills. No overload in visual trash just whwt was necessary. If you have a minute check it out they are here for 2 more shows.
