Tribe.Net being sued by the state of California

<div>In case any of you still believe in tribe, read this from facebook (and no, this is not an April Fool's joke):

Elizabeth McKeeman (Sioux Falls, SD) wrote on March 29, 2009 at 2:52pm

Why is Tribe.Net being sued? Because the company is refusing to pay court ordered child support. Darren Mckeeman has been ordered to pay child support for his daughter that he abandoned five years ago. He refused to do it, so the state of California has had to get a court order for Tribe.Net to garnish his wages and send the money in. Tribe.Net has only done this four or five times and has already been taken to court once over the non-payment. Not one payment has been made in 2009.

So why are they charging money for user fees and then wasting money on lawyer fees when they could just do what the law requires of them? I have no idea.

Why am I posting this? Well, I'm the mother of said child. I need the money to help support her. The child support helps pay for basic things like clothing and rent and utilities. Every time I have to tell my daughter that we can't buy something like a book she really loves because we have no money is another time she gets upset at her father for running away from her.

I'm hoping that some public humiliation will get Darren and his employer off their butts and in compliance with the law.

What proof do I have? Well, the court cases should be a matter of public record. All the lawsuits have been in San Francisco. I can't get the information because the lawsuits are being fled by the state and not by me personally and I don't live in CA anymore.

They took the money out of my paycheck but never paid it. Past that I don't know the disposition of anything past the fact that i have not been allowed to talk to or see my daughter for nearly five years now.
