Hi, everyone...

Just a quick hello to let you know that I arrived home fromTulum, Mexico late last night. Some of my friends were not so fortunate, and didn't have flight plans in place until Thursday. They are going to have to weather Hurricane Dean (now a cat. 5 storm) in Cancun, as the Dreams Tulum resort decided to evacuate them as far north as possible.

Aside from the scary storm approaching, it was an amazing trip to a beautiful place. The people were warm and welcoming, the resort absolutely gorgeous. Beth's wedding on the beach Friday was so lovely. I swam naked in the Carribean Sea late one night with the girls, even! What fun we had.

I really worry about all the local folks down there...I am praying and sending lots of positive thought their way. I anticipate, at the very least, a big hit to the tourism business in Tulum, which is vital to the local economy. Keep your fingers crossed, everybody...these people need all the help they can get right now.
