Besides being a loyal one-woman man, guide to others and potentially awesome drinking mate, Brett possesses what I can only call "je ne sais quoi", truly a rarity in a man these days.

Me is married now as of the 22nd of September 2007! Samuel just finished his first season playing rugby, scored a few good tries. Jonathon is now 10 months old and nearly walking, he's been crawling since he was about 7 months old!
We are moving out of Aotearoa and onto Denver Colorado! Gotta try these things while we're still young and we are REALLY looking forward to it! :)

Well we won't be doing the move in May as we had hoped coz there's no more work visa's left for this year (both the wife and I will be going on an H1B visa as I have found out). Instead (if we can get a sponsor) we'll be coming over around September-ish as the 2009 work visa year starts October 1st 2008. As such, my darling wife will be me leaving me alone with the kids and her 17 yr old sister (heaven help me!) for about 5 weeks while she trips over state-side looking for someone to sponsor her for an H1B. She works in medical, she is a Qualified Phlebotomy Technician (means she's the one that takes your blood for blood tests etc...).

August/September would work kinda well coz then we can hopefully get our 8 year old into school before the school year starts, so we won't be arriving in the heat of summer or the freeze of winter. On the upside, if we can come up with about US$50-100k we can go in on an Investors visa! :)
Is it just me or does everybody round here get random emails from people? I just got one (and it ain't the first!) from some girl in NYC and sounded like a "Hi you sound really interesting and I think you could be my boyfriend"! I mean come on girlie, does the word MARRIED mean anything to you?

Well the time has finally come in my life when it is MY TURN to do the overseas thing, and I'm bringing my whanau with me! My brother and both sisters have lived in London at some point, my brother lived in Dublin for a while also and my baby sis did an Au Pair in New Hampshire for a year before going onto London. We'll be landing in LA about 2 hours before we leave New Zealand (if you check the time zones it's really weird how it works turns out!) around the end of April, tiki-touring our way back to Denver to see some of the sights before arriving in the Mile High city to settle down. If anyone knows any great places to stop along the way then feel free to make suggestions. I've never been to the US (my darling wife has never left NZ!) so I really wanna make the most of the trip.

Although I haven't known Brett Dalton very long, (about twenty five minutes or so), let me say that I believe he could be like my older, wiser brother, since I am only 14 years old, anyway. We are truly brethren in Star Trek and that, my dear admirers, is what truly counts. I hope my mom has the great honor of serving him hot cocoa [with synthetic marshmallows] at his SOONEST convenience!
However, if the above testimonial seems to be either: a) deferential and/or b) squalid please inform me AT ONCE via gmail account and/or wav file. Yours In Endless, Magnificent Radiance, ~Elbert Swattle, Math Borg *live math and prosper*

My favorite picture of Brett is the gray head with the question mark in it. It suggests mystery, intrigue, subtlety. This is the quintessential Brett Dalton: man of complexity with a quiet knowingness and a virile sense of how to fit in without being overbearing.
Bravo, Brettmeisterd00d! March 18, 2005
Brett is the supreme Kiwi god of lovin.
....Cyber, real, whatever - this guy knows how to party. His extensive knowledge of the "upper down under" is par with the finest of New Zealand's historic explorers. Yeah Brett!!!! you go, dog. March 16, 2005
What can I say about the mystery, the enigma, the mythos that surrounds my friend Brett Dalton? Words seem pitifully inadequate here. So simple yet simultaneously so complex, the man's legend has spread to far and distant lands. He is all about sex with his woman and computers but he is also all about something greater, something unknown and unknowable. I am lucky to call him friend.
