Comedy Assault on Battery - Scheduled for October 1st

I am seeking a large sum from corporate sponsors to get this realized. We are already endorsed by National Lampoon Comedy Radio Please pass my recent blog onto anyone and everyone you know. Let's make this show one to remember and one that helps Laura's House continue to help those that need them. Please pass this blog onto everyone you know, let's help victims of Domestic Violence. Thank you. Norma Copy: The Comedy Assault on Battery Show is a comedy show that is tentatively scheduled for October 1st. The first Monday in October marks the The Day of Unity and launches Domestic Violence Awareness Month. For more info, go here: http://www.ncadv.org/takeaction/DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth_134.html This show's proceeds will go to benefit Laura's House, a local shelter in San Juan Capistrano which aids women victims of domestic violence and their children. It is the largest and most outreaching shelter in Orange County. http://www.laurashouse.org/ Tenatively, the show is to be held at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana. I am currently seeking corporate sponsors and BIG NAME headliners for this event - 8 comedians, 15 minutes each, for two plus hours of non-stop laughs! You must be KNOWN like Gaffigan, Rogan, etc. to perform in this show...tickets will be anywhere from $30 - $100 each, depending on seating. Note: Entertainers perform voluntarily, donating their time to benefit victims in need. A couple days before the show, I would like to have us all visit Laura's House and have press cover the visit as well. We can discuss by email. Biography For This Weekend's Musical

Well...just in case you don't get to see the show... Norma Jean R. (Madame Rondeau) Norma Jean was born in Camden, New Jersey. Ironically, she was actually named after the famous Norma Jean Baker (aka Marilyn Monroe)--her mother always dreamed that she would be a fine actress. Her mother relocated her at age two to her own hometown in Upstate NY, where she spent the better part of 30 years, until her relocation to California in July, 2004. Norma's family was great friends with the parents of both Richard Grieco and Mary Margaret Humes (both now famous actors in Hollywood), who are also grew up in the same small city of Watertown, NY (Home of Woolworth's 5 and Dime and Those Little Car Freshener Trees) During her childhood, Norma Jean first became interested in performing via her grandmother who was a professional singer and traveled the entire East Coast singing in Night Clubs. In her later years, she performed in Seniors' establishments to bring smiles to many�she would never accept compensation during her "retirement," as she had a gracious heart and was moved by the music and the audiences' smiles alone. Erminia (her Grandmother) left Norma Jean in 1990, but Norma Jean has remained determined to keep her Grandmother's gift alive and share these "genetic" talents with all of you. Since age 5, Norma Jean has been involved in the Fine Arts. She is now 38 years old and is the proud mother of two boys: Brooks, age 17, and Robert, age 11, who plays "Brutus the Dog" in today's production (seems he is following in his mother's footsteps). We also proudly welcome Robert (aka Peanut) to our cast and look forward to featuring him in upcoming childrens' productions. By day, Norma works as an Executive Assistant to the CEO of a major architectural/design firm in Costa Mesa. Norma Jean makes her debut at Starlight Theater for this fine production. She has a warm heart, enormous spirit, is full of energy and great talent. She brings with her a NY background in Theater, Dance, Song, and Voice/Accent Impressionisms. Her ability to wow audiences with her realism is what sets her apart. She is gifted in many areas with a concentration on Drama, Comedy, and Horror. Norma has been in several community plays while in NY and has played many roles--everything from an obnoxious waitress to one of the "Cats" in a smaller version of the Broadway Musical "Cats." Currently, Norma Jean is studying voice under our Director, Mrs. Deborah Hayes. She is also working on a duet ensemble with a local piano player to bring back the "Captain & Tennille/Sonny & Cher" fun times to the community. Watch for her name in lights as she hits the Kibitz Room in Los Angeles in late January 2006. Her creativity will surely shine through as she plans to bring you original songs, comedy, great standards, and great costuming. Lastly, Norma Jean is also working together with her best friend, the talented "Weird Val" of Cabaret, Veronique Chevalier (The LA Music Award Winner for Best Independent Cabaret Artist, 2004) on a production called, "The Red Velvet Variety Show." Its debut will be December 10th in Hollywood. She invites you all to attend and promises that her best friend is going to bring back The Variety Show of yesteryear that's been in "limbo" for too long! As you watch Norma Jean's performance today, we are sure that you will feel the radiation of a great and true "performing spirit" as she takes the stage. I read this on Ellen Degeneres's latest blog on MySpace. I thought my NY counterparts would get a good laugh: "New York is special because you can drink the tap water. I like to put my mouth right on the faucet and then I drink as much as I can until my neck is stiff. New York water is very "soft"... or maybe it's "hard." Whichever one it is, it makes the best pizza, the best bagels and the best hair. My hair is always at its best in New York. I don't know what's in the water. It could be mousse." "Anyway, while I'm in New York, I'm going to all five boroughs. I've been reading up on New York, and the reason they call them boroughs is because New Yorkers used to travel exclusively by burros, or, as we call them today, "donkeys." They were gonna call the boroughs "the Five Donkeys," but it didn't roll off the tongue as well. It's hard to pick my favorite borough. But if I had to, I'd pick Maui. I love fresh pineapple."
