Spring Cleaning

I am amazed I made it through my whole damn tribe list to clear out new comments from the years since Tribe choked!

Hey, this thing works again!

After a long summer of cancer fighting, I figured I would give Tribe a try and see if it crashed horribly still. It works!
So for those who missed the migration, and haven kept up over at facecrack, I have been fighting cancer. Stage 4a Squamous cell cancer, 1 cm in R tonsil, spread to the lymphs in the neck and clavicle before surgery, chemo, and radiation. Now that itÅ› all over but the scanning, I am getting back to life.

If you still use this, say hi!

Can tribe recover...?

Hey, glad you logged in to tribe today.
(or have your RSS feed set to send it to you)

I've got a serious question.

Do you think Tribe will ever recover?
I mean, seriously, if the network wasn't going into outages regularly;
if the online lights on folks profile icon's actually showed who was online again;
if you didn't need IM because the system ran so fast that personal messages were as fast as IM ...

Would you bother to come here and converse again?

I miss
sharing our dreams and passions
learning from each others stories
even a flame war would be better
than the cyber ghost town it seems to be these days.

When I don't know if the system will be live from any given day,
it makes it challenging to keep an audience
for online antics and textual buffoonery.

I moderate nearly 30 tribes.
A few are still lively...

But even Rumi tribe has quieted down.
Go check it out,
there's an encyclopedic amount of sufi poetry
contributed by those who live by a key passage,
or found a new one that touched them.

Sagittarian love seems to still check in,
Naked Sun and Baker Beach always have requests pending
but they've become more new members who can't connect with anyone since no one is online
and marketing bots... they're moderated for a reason...
...but there isn't a conversation to join on the tribe!
Mantribe is long dead, but those were some fine days...

It seems tribes are now fanpages like on FB
where no one connects, you just have it on your profile and get updates...
In this treatment the magic is lost.

If you're tired of Tribe sucking ass,
speak up!

The silence around here is deafening.

St stupid... today!

3/10/2009

Perish Newz from The Bishipp
Almost time to don thy wierd apparel, find a sign that fits your mood, collect the stray pennies from beneath the couch, round up the solo socks and the losing lottery tickets and think about thinking about the one hole-y day obligation that you have as unavoidable members of the world's oldest religion, the world's largest church....the First Church of the Last Laugh.

You're human?...your in it. Might as well show up and find out why this parade, the

31st ANNUAL ST. STUPID'S DAY PARADE

, won't go away.

This year it's the weekday parade route on the sidewalk from the EMBARCADERO PLAZA thru the financial district with stops at the 'stations of stupid' for the time honored rituals and traditions so beloved by the people down at the bureau of rituals and traditions. Givin the annual sub text (there's a sub in every parade), that of giving homage to the buisness of religion and the religion of buisness, this year promises extra fun in the concrete canyons of greed and deceit. Stick the head of your favorite overpaid ceo on a stick (and the amount of his/her crime)....bring PINK SLIPS and EVICTION NOTICES for the HQs of the not so free market...print your own money for bail outs, pay offs and buy ins. Fun for all ages! Drums and other noise production devices encouraged. Attend at your own risk. Watch your step. Spread the word.

Free lunch. RAIN OR SHINE. War and peace. free!! Hotcha!

Wednesday, Noon, April 1th, foot of Market st. SF. Ca. USA
