Oh man... I am shocked and embarrassed that I come from the same country whose airport security did this to you. One thing that actually spells hope is that the Israeli postal service is notoriously slow (unless they've given the system a major overhaul since I left)... so if they did send it 3 business days later, it very well may be on its way. Hang in there.
I assume you told the party organizers about this and they're doing whatever they can on their end to help you, right? |

Nothing yet...
They weren't going to mail it to me, they are supposed to send it to Berlin Airport and then they are supposed to drop it off at the address I listed. Unfortunately I have to leave berlin now, but I will just see if either they can send it to DK or I will just come back to get it.... As for having the orgs do all they can to help me get it back....... let's just avoid dealing with them.

Sorry to hear that, Greg. I hope you have backups. I'm sure like most people the value of your data is much greater than your equipment. You should check out Amazon S3. Reliable storage space for backups at a reasonable price.

I wasn't completely stupid...
I didn't take my portable hard disk with my backup on it to Israel. I was feeling quite paranoid before the trip so I only took the essentials to play. So in the end I haven't lost all my old work, and they didn't get too much other than my live set and some new music that got finished. but it completely throws a monkey wrench in me playing live until I get a new computer.... Proverbial Catch 22... Looks like it's dj sets for a while till I get a new comp... but it royally sucks for this to happen so close to Universal Parallelo...
