about me
i'm the kind of girl who wears all her silver jewelry at once, who likes to blow soap bubbles during business meetings, and who can't commit to a haircolor for longer than a month.
i'm a deeply loyal friend, playful, tactile, affectionate, and i read way too much - people tell me that can't be true, but i know in my heart that it is. if you love to read speculative fiction, knowing you would be marvellous.
i'm sweet, queer, poly, geeky, kinky. i have a happy, stable, long-term primary relationship. i also have room to offer in my social calendar, my bed, my life and my heart, depending on our connection and what arises. i'm looking to meet people who would like to date and be happy in the poly mode, like me.
i'm very into pursuing connection, whatever it may be - i believe relationships, like water, find their own level. for me, i find that's the opposite of "no strings attached", without necessarily being in the neighborhood of "i thee wed" or even necessarily "i'll call you".
wtf, Atlanta?

I received a mail-order package from someone in Atlanta today, and the shipper had included this charming bag inside as stuffing.

I'm hanging out at my apartment on the deck enjoying the amazing view and waiting on the cable repairman to restore my broke-ass Law & Order channels to fully functional status.

I had a much-anticipated first date this weekend with someone I really like, and it went so well that I'm still a little giddy *counts on fingers* three days later (well, four days if you count Thursday night as the date and not late-ish Friday morning when it actually ended. Ahem.) I'm in such a good mood, it ...

I've been lectured this week about drinking chai to help open my eyes in the morning ("the church says you shouldn't drink coffee or tea!") and got into a little mini-debate ("everyone gets the right to choose their own beliefs and we have to respect that even when ours are different!" "but the church SAYS! *you* should go to church and then you could learn!" "there's nothing to learn, I already know the beliefs, I just don't believe the same thing!") well....this is SO going to be me.

I woke up this morning and stumbled towards the kitchen, but stopped short at hearing a chirpy "good morning Belle!" from the redheaded twelve-year-old perched in my living room watching what passes for cartoons these days. I fed it some strawberry frosted mini wheats to placate it, and went for the chai like it was a cinnamon-flavored, caffeine-stuffed life preserver.
One of my friends delights in describing children as being little aliens, and I can second that after only a day of obs...

So, partner's son and grandma made it as far as Atlanta. When their plane took off, it encountered some form of mechanical difficulty that was severe enough that they barely made it back to the airport. (I'm sure everyone is sparing me the details of such a mechanical difficulty because of my well-known fear of flying, and I'm just fine with not knowing, thanks.)
All day yesterday was spent trying to find alternative ways to get his son out here, since the grandma was so spooked by the ...
