Lots of abundant herbs to wildcraft, and enjoy! I have been making a lot of medicine-Specifically Herbal Tonic beverages for a class I am teaching this Sunday athe the garden club in Laytonville Its time once again for the most rootsy herb festival around the Mendocino Herb Festival! This years topic is near and dear to my heArt its "Tonics: Eat drink & be Merry! Classes include kitchen medicine- Fablous Fermentations- and my class Bountiful Beverages! It is a totally FREE event with fun for the whole family from 10-4 with classes projects, live music and herbcraft Craft Bizzarre! My class will be 1hr of recipies and tasting of different tonic beverages including cordials, infusions, chai, my infamous KAVA-polynesian punch, herbal wines and herbal elixirs! I have come up with some great alchemical explorations in Cordials and Elixirs using ingrediants like Tulsi sacred basil, pomegranate, Elderberry, KAVA and using sweeteners like AGAVE and MOLASSES rather then traditional refined sugars!
