So there I was sweaty in my suit, having high-tailed it from Connecticut back to the city, to get a new job, so that like, the high point of my day would not be listening to Howard Stern on my reverse commute out to Stamford. And I came out of the interview thinking to myself "absolutely no more interviews after 6pm" and yet somehow ended up not only getting the job, but also kind of thriving under this guy's tutelage.

Rob's generosity and patience seem to be without boundaries. And this makes us lucky.

I've known Robb for ages. We were both shunned by the nerds in high school for being geeks, no less. And the trend continues to this day. He's a very talented, dangerously smart guy that sucks at video games and sucks even worse at making music.

I have to say, I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with him in music and whatnot.

I, ah...damn, that image of Robb as an alternate version of Superman kind of threw me for a loop. He's one hoopy frood and has good taste in philosophers. Not to mention Laffoley.

Since Robb started an escalating Testimonial battle, I'll tell the world something I don't think I ever told him: I once described him to someone back in school as what Superman would have turned out like if he'd had a near-death experience as a boy in Smallville. And maybe if Ma and Pa Kent kept letting him eat all the mushrooms he found out in the pasture. He's Grant Morrison's version of Kal-El: what would your hero be like if he'd looked out at the universe and it destroyed his ego? So, no red tights, thank god, but he certainly swooped in and saved my butt plenty of times.

I owe a lot to Robb. He and his wife are the best kind of people. Their baby will rock in every sense of the word, but probably start out with the soothing, back-and-forth kind.
