nudity prohibition

I believe that prohibitions against nudity are religious inventions designed for purposes of control, power and economics. There is no objective reason to prohibit nudity; there is no empirical data suggesting nudity "harms" people.

Those who spout anti-nudity rhetoric exemplify a sociological process called "internalization": Values constructed externally in society are perceived to be one's own values. They also exemplify what some sociologists call the "coercion model," wherein those in power pressure everyone else to comply with their rules via enforcement mechanisms such as statute and stigmatization.

While I agree with what you're saying about what I consider to be the ridiculous religious attitudes that exist about our little bit of Gaia, our body..... Hell, there's just a whole lotta bods I'd rather not see wandering around naked! :D So, I'm all for nudist areas. That way everyone's rights are respected.
