I found out today I will be laid off from my day job in two weeks. I'm sitting on the fence on whether I should fight tooth and nail for a full time job, or whether I should give a middle finger to the economy and dance/teach full time. If you'd like to book me for Derivative ATS technique, tribal fusion technique, or music theory for dancers, now would be a most excellent time. I am easily reached at natalie_c_brown@yahoo.com. Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear that, Miss Nat. Do what you think is right, but keep in mind that life hands us opportunites all the time, we just have to keep our eyes open to see it! If there's enough demand for full time teaching, go for it. We need more dancers like you in the world. Besides, if you get big enough, maybe you can come to the Pacific Northwest and do some workshops! I'd love that! Good luck, lady, things always happen for a reason.

I'm sorry to hear that. I was laid off from my job in September, luckily because I pushed the company they brought me back on. You see they forgot that there was another store that had no one to run the front and I managed to get a transfer and they cancelled my layoff. Unfortunately other employees were not so lucky.

Follow what your heart tells you. If you can make enough as a full time teacher, the by all means take advantage of that opportunity!
