Blah, blah.....WTF???

Cloverfield sucks!

I knew it would.....I can't get those minutes of my life back.......ever.

I'll put out my thoughts just the same.

*Ok, no, it's not Godzilla.......I owe Godzilla an apology for even thinking it was related to such a cult classic.

*No one in the movie has a N.Y. accent. It's really hard to get into the feeling of being in N.Y. when everyone sounds like they're from L.A. - Oh wait, they are! What was I thinking.

*I hated Blair Witch. Shakey-cam and no story, "fake-u-mentary", "mock-u-mentary" same thing. What on EARTH was I expecting from a PG-13 movie? Oh wait, I wasn't thinking.

*Why didn't anyone really run in horror? Oh wait, it was L.A.'s take on New Yorkers in a disaster, they generally aren't afraid of SHIT, so why run? Someone needs to be bitch slapped for this piece of shit that makes you wish you were watching replays of 9/11......at least there was real drama and fright in those tapes.

* If you're going to show Stanton Island, show it on the proper side of the bridge leaving Manhattan for Brooklyn. Oh wait, who cares, nearly everyone who was walking on the bridge (yes, WALKING to evacuate) will die, leaving the rest stuck, only to return to ground zero anyhow. Oh.....speaking of ground zero..........How the fuck did the Iraq-camouflaged, fully armored tanks, by the hundreds, and troops by the thousands, get there?????? In less than 2 minutes from the initial explosion? Strange. Oh wait, they didn't......I must have forgotten about all the room Manhattan has to store that stuff in giant reserve bunkers.......not.

*If I'd had a knife, I'd have slit my wrists, mid movie. Fortunately for me, the paper edge on my popcorn wasn't sharp enough to inflict any serious damage and I tried to manipulate my straw into a molten shank and put out my eyes.....but without a lighter, my coffee wasn't hot enough to heat it up, and alas............that plan failed too.

Heather........We are going out again........no movies this time. Now I know what happens when writers strike.......We get stuck with ka-ka movies like this. I'd rather go watch overweight, old men at a nude beach. At least there, there would be more mystery, suspense and horror.

I wish I read this before...
It took me another two hours to stop feeling sick after the movie. I noticed that after it was over, nobody talked as they walked out of the theater. They all had the same "we were on this carnival ride way too long" look to them. There wasn't even a decent soundtrack to this thing!

OMG, James, you notice that toooooooo! Seriously, we watched two theaters (before our showing) empty out, and it was DEAD SILENT......
NO ONE was talking......I swear

That was the strangest thing ever! The silence..........."Uh............................." Yeah, pretty much.

Loved it!!
Loved the 9/11 references. What horror story wouldnt capture a piece of that new fear.
Loved the rescue.

I loved that the head of the statue of liberty was there. But that made for my first de-suspension of dis belief. (first?)

There were huge plot holes but the movie pulled back in me so well it seemed the plot descrepencies were
intentional.

I did hate that the characters were not developed. I bet the "LOST" guy fixes that next time.
I guess that is the cost of hiring TV writers/Directors.

I am tierd of convention horror and was very glad for this flick.

Don't hold back, dear! Tell us how you really feel!

The "hated it" reviews are slightly ahead of the "loved it" reviews, at this point. And, I have seen exactly zero neutral reviews.

My eyes!!!!
Show this movie to POWs and people in detention facilities. Waste not money on popcorn and candy, Want not several hours of your life back -I would rather watch Blair witch with papercuts on my fingers and extra salty popcorn during allergy season.
