I’m not sorry anymore. I still occasionally say I’m sorry but I’m doing so less and less. When I do say it is only because by my not uttering these words the other person would think I don’t care and I do care. I use the expression I’m sorry strictly as energetic salve. But I’m really not sorry. Things are as they are and I wouldn’t ask that they be otherwise. That doesn’t mean I like everything that is happening or that I don’t own responsibility for things or that I don’t have preferences.

Here's an is an article from the Pupisee Herald that I read online. It appears mass "farming" of insects may become a reality in our lifetimes. I am very conflicted about this. While it would be "preferable" to mass farming of mammals for so many reasons it is still the caging of and using animals for our own convenience. What do others think? The article is below.

The issue with meat is not really the eating of animals. Because eating animals is not inherently “wrong”. The issues is the caging, torturing, and denying of life to animals. Death is not bad. The concern here is with life-denied, restricted, miserable life. We are all going to die. It is not an issue of preventing death but helping and allowing life.

To what extent do we have to respect the beliefs of others. We’re taught that this is the right thing to do, to respect what others think. But aren’t we taught to respect what the majority of people believe? It’s not ok to challenge or ridicule the populist belief. It’s impolite and wrong. It’s absolutely fine and encouraged to disparage and disregard the beliefs of people in a minority. A lot of people get angry at George W. Bush. They think he’s a bad guy, that he is stupid, that he’s a warmongerer, and a blood thirsty capitalist. I’m not disagreeing withmost of these points. But I don’t necessarily believe he’s a bad guy, but that’s only because I don’t believe in bad people. That’s a philosophical point I’m not going to get into right yet.
