So I am having a very interesting time at the moment.. :)

On Friday I spent 5 hours in Ikea... Lugging around heavy furniture in a giant warehouse to kit out my redecorated room...
The name of the cupboard that I bought was the 'pax' model... 'nexus' variety...

Then, Yesterday my friend Jamie phoned me up randomly and asked me to join him at the Reading Music Festival for the closing day.. I said I was broke and he offered to pay for me! Sweet! Many thanks sir!

So we drove down there and chilled out in the amazing sunshine.

My main reason for wanting to go (musically) was to see The smashing pumpkins, an awesome band that I saw at reading in 1995 when I was just a pipsqueek!

So we wandered round, had a couple of drinks.. saw a few bands... and then went right to the front of the crowd of 70,000+ people to watch Smashing pumpkins....

It was a pitch black, perfectly still night and a full moon..

I felt a bit squished as there were so many people and we were only about 5 or 6 layers of people from the very front.. (I'm used to this thought so no big deal)... The stage show was fantastic, the lighting.. everything...

About halfway through I decided to practice centering and meditating to try to harmonise the crowd as it was getting a bit hectic.
I succeeded!

I had the sensation of being in a field of 'souls', writhing in pleasure, in unity... not sexual.. just a kind of 'oneness'...
I found I could place my hands in my personal heart 'mudra' and 'create space' around me so that I was in a bubble of stillness, even though the rest of the crowd was bouncing and vibrating all over the place.

I then started to connect to the crowd and channelled the energy into 'love', 'peace', 'respect', 'harmony' and 'healing' and sent it to the middle east and planet Earth in general!

Then.. Just before the band played 'tonight tonight'.. I looked up and saw an orange craft flying over the crowd and a 'flock' of bright white birdlike craft flying at 90 degrees to the orange craft.. I shouted to the crowd but only my friend Jamie looked and saw them... Neither of us were sure if the birdlike objects were birds or craft but it was 10:30-11pm and pitch black.. and they were bright white and moving in a slightly odd way... If they were birds then not only were they unusually flying at night but they were being lit up by a flood light somehow as they covered the entire sky! Awesomely weird either way!
The orange craft was a craft or orb.. not a doubt about it..

After the song finished.. Billy Corgan (the lead singer) said something along the lines of 'Miracles can happen' !! (I forget precisely what he said.. hopefully I can get a download of the performance from somewhere...)

So all in all it was pretty damn cool!

Today I started constructing the big wardrobe I bought from Ikea and wondered what the words 'nexus' and 'pax' mean.. .

Here's the definitions:

Nexus:

1. A means of connection; a link or tie.
2. A connected series or group.
3. The core or center:

Pax:

1. Ecclesiastical
a. A small flat tablet adorned with a sacred image that worshippers kiss when offered the kiss of peace.
b. The kiss of peace.
2. Pax A time of wide-ranging stability when there is only a single dominant power

So pax = 'peace'

So since I am into 'following the signs' as I drive through the synchronous city...

The 'sines' of my vibrations are pretty good!
