<div>The sweetest part of the day is when I enter my air conditioned house. I am no hot house flower. I prefer the cool of the A/C especially after spending 9 hours in an unairconditioned warehouse.

Please Fall, hurry and come to me!</div>

Pole Dancing is Awesome!

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/negwa/blog/c3df7afd-89c8-4eee-bc1c-90d143a1c587">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/01e/1a8/01e1a8de-c4b7-45c6-ba12-4318ddea6933.thumb" width="57" height="78" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>I LOVE POLE DANCING! I had my first class of the Level 1 session and it was as awesome as I remembered! The pilates section came first and nearly whipped my buttocks, but I am happy to say that I made it through 90% of the workout. I pushed through my legs pulsing and throbbing as I tried to make the leaden things make an elevated circle. I figured that I could do it, all I had to do was push through the pain. Sure enough about the time I was ready to give up our lovely teacher said "just 3 more". I thought, yeah, I could do 3 more.

Then we moved on to the pole work section of the class. First came walking around the pole keeping to the balls of our feet which is harder then it sounds. Then came doing pirouettes while going around the pole. Then came the getting dizzy. Then I started going the other direction. I think our instructor realized that we were getting dizzy so we did a couple of moves that don't involve going around the pole. One move that was more difficult that it seemed was standing with our backs to pole, knees together, with knees together back against pole at the bottom of the movement you open your knees and then stand up. Easy, right? Well I know I had to give myself a pep talk about getting back up but I made it. All's well that ends well. Then we got to learn a trick. Swinging around the pole with both feet off the ground. So much fun! I kept jumping into it instead of letting myself fall into it. After doing it over and over I finally got the knack and it made me feel so good. Like I can do anything, learn anything.

The only problem I found was that my sports bra kept riding up. I guess my breasts were too much to be held in during all that pole dancing. My friend told me I needed a pole dancing bra. Hmmm, not underwires because they will just flip up. Maybe something really long like a corset but who wants to willingly wear a corset while working out? Not me. I have week to work out the bra problem then I'll be back to swinging around the pole.

I love pole dancing!</div>

Best cat ever -- YEAH RIGHT!

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/negwa/blog/f09d06b4-1878-452b-b22c-a9a6eefe128e">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/39f/3f5/39f3f550-4deb-4da6-996d-99ddd681e753.thumb" width="65" height="65" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>A couple of weeks ago I thought my sweet baby boy Cole was the best kitty ever. He would purr and look at me adoringly and generally be a good kitty. Well, with the weather getting nicer I've been letting the feline horde go on the enclosed back porch. While my back was turned my sweet 20 pound kitten pushed his way through the screen on the door and went exploring on the "outside". Next thing I know there's a couple of meows asking to come back in. I freak out because none of the feline horde are allowed outside the enclosed porch. I'm just too afraid that someone will make a break for it and end up roadkill on the street or lost. I would rather be safe than sorry. So I pull the little Houdini back into the enclosed porch and back to the house vowing to not let the feline horde back out until I fixed the screen. Then I did a head count to make sure the other 2 were in the house. Turns out only Cole thought the need to make a break out.

A few days later I thought that I would relax on the back porch. I wedged a box by the area that was torn open thinking that would stop the problem. About 30 minutes later I heard that same "let me back in" meow. I thought why would be need to be let back in? So I get up and start looking for him. No where to be seen! So I call for him. Nothing! I tried to keep my voice sounding happy but I was mad. I had already told his little behind that going out of the enclosed porch was wrong but it must not of taken. My two girls were sitting in the house giving me these "I'm sitting in here being a good girl" faces. So I go out the back door to look for my little nut. Nothing. So I think maybe I missed him and he is inside. I come back out to the enclosed porch and there he sits on the outside of the screen asking to be let back in.

So I reach through trying to grab my wayward cat. He ran away! My voice got pretty angry at this point as I yelled for my nutcase to come back. Not quite amazingly, he ran away from my reach. So out I go to catch him. I finally caught up with him at the chicken coop (no chickens live there) and was able to grab his tail, but I must have grabbed too hard because he hissed and ran farther inside. I was able to scoop him up finally after cornering him. So I held him upside down so I could beat his butt while walking back inside. I got him inside, shut the door and laid back down on my little pallet. I was still steaming about his little freedom run.

You'd think that Cole would realize that this isn't his day and be good for a while...wrong. He decides that now would be a good time to beat up his oldest sister, Nalla. This wasn't just normal brother/sister stuff, Cole really was being rough. So I grabbed him and put him at the end of the sofa and held him there with one hand. I told him to think about why what he had done was wrong. Yeah, I know, he probably just used the time as a rest break but I prefer to think that he did as he was told.

Today is gorgeous too so I open some windows and the back porch but closed the screen on the back porch. So Cole spent the last hour complaining to me that he wasn't able to get out. He had given up the fight now but I'm sure if I let him back out to the porch he would be trying to figure out how to get the screen moved again.

For now the feline horde is safe, sharing space in the two open windows.</div>

Here I am wide awake for the second time tonight for the second night in a row. Yeah, Lunesta helps you sleep longer. I slept longer with Ambien. I just hope I don't fall asleep during jury duty. That would be so embarrasing!

										<div>Yipee! I get to go to US District Court tomorrow! I am so happy to go. I don't particularily like to persuade people to what I believe but I like that I get to try. I have the opportunity to be on a jury. That's wonderful. Yeah, it can be incredibly boring. There could be a lot of sitting around waiting, but I have books to read. And I don't have to go to work tomorrow. Except for a paid day off, what could be better?</div>

When in doubt

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/negwa/blog/ce810f1f-b0f3-4cea-bb62-2bade265e6ff">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/3e6/4bc/3e64bccd-99ed-4160-b24e-4391343ca4dc.thumb" width="65" height="67" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>Here's my new motto:

When in doubt, fall back to laughter.

I don't mean laugh at people. Just laugh. There really are so many things that people get upset about that aren't worth the effort.

I have to say that some people have started to look at me like I'm a little crazy, but really is it worth the effort to get upset about to fix that misconception? For the most part that's a great big no. So I smile, I laugh, I look a little crazy. Having been through YEARS of depression I know what it's like to not be happy and now I know what it's like to be kind of happy. Well, happy enough. I laugh and I would rather laugh than become enraged or cry.

So, if you see me and I'm laughing for no apparent reason and begin to wonder. Stop wondering and just laugh with me. We will laugh and smile and make other people wonder what we've been up to.

    </a>
										<div>It snowed here (I don't know how many inches fell). I opened the door to see if any of my 3 cats would go outside with the snow on the back porch. My big bully boy, Cole, ran to the edge of the doorway and immediately stopped. Then here comes my oldest, Nalla. She did the same thing and stopped at the edge of the door. Both sat there sniffing at the snow when my middle child, Amuck, hopped through and over (it happened so quick I'm not sure which) her siblings out onto the snowy porch. She bounced out a couple of cat hops and stopped in her tracks. Then she crouched looking around. I think she was trying to figure out what to do now, how to get back to the dry floor. The other two became a little more bold when they saw Amuck out on the porch so they ventured out. Nalla made it as far as 2 cat lengths. Cole made it all the way to the middle of the porch. All this time Amuck was crouched in the same position looking back at the door trying to figure out how to get there. She finally got halfway back when she couldn't place one paw down because it was too wet. She did make it back but I was sure afraid that I would have to go and get her. My big bully boy came sauntering back with snow on his nose looking cold but happy.</div>

<div>Every time I think about when I bellydanced I get sad. I loved it so much. I had finally come out of my shell. I loved to perform. I loved the people I performed with. I thought there is no way this would ever end. But a shift occurred within how we dealt with each other. Bellydancers were treating each other badly. It was like high school all over again. I was no longer liked like the "in" girls. I was once again the fat girl that was there because you couldn't kick me out. So they kind of edged me out until I left on my own.

I left because every time I went to class I got sick to my stomach and dizzy. God was telling me to stop the madness that was this bellydance class. So all those wonderful times I had dancing are taken over by the memories of that last year of dance.

Now I only dance when there is a special occasion. That last period of dance has made me withdraw. It has caused me lots of crying and insecurity. I know I'm responsible for my own emotions but you've got to admit others have a hand in how emotions are played out.

										<div>Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday all had the high of 108 degrees.

Thank God! There is a cool front coming! No more 108 degrees. Saturday is going to possibly be 89 blessed wonderful degrees. Heaven.

I can only take so much working in an unconditioned factory in 108 degree weather without snapping. It has been horrible. I couldn't get out of there today fast enough especially knowing that I don't have to work in the morning.

Luckily the people in my department don't have to interact so the opportunity to snap at each other is greatly reduced.

In These Shoes? by Kristy Maccoll

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/negwa/blog/1d192662-a204-420e-a8f2-51beeaecf86b">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/c04/e5a/c04e5a8e-b658-4640-9caf-eb1ac3b0be36.thumb" width="62" height="78" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>I just saw the movie "Kinky Boots" and I would highly recommend it. Very funny. As the end credits rolled I was treated to a fun song called "In These Shoes" by the late Kristy Maccoll. I just love the lyrics and thought I'd share.

I once met a man with a sense of adventure
He was dressed to thrill wherever he went
He said "Let's make love on a mountain top
Under the stars on a big hard rock"
I said "In these shoes?
I don't think so"
I said "Honey, let's do it here."

So I'm sitting at a bar in Guadalajara
In walks a guy with a faraway look in his eyes
He said "I've got a powerful horse outside
Climb on the back, I'll take you for a ride
I know a little place, we can get there for the break of day."
I said "In these shoes?
No way, Jose"
I said "Honey, let's stay right here."

No le gusta caminar. No puede montar a caballo
(She doesn't like to walk, she can't ride a horse)
Como se puede bailar? Es un escandolo
(But the way she dances, it's a scandal)

Then I met an Englishman
"Oh" he said
"Won't you walk up and down my spine,
It makes me feel strangely alive."
I said "In these shoes?
I doubt you'd survive."
I said "Honey, let's do it.
Let's stay right here."

<div>Thank you so much for all your positive thoughts and energy for my cousin's kid. Jesse is home from the hospital today! Yeah!

He was getting too crazy for the hospital to hold him so the timing works. When he got home he ran circles in the yard, kicked the soccor ball, ran with their dog and then went for a walk with his mom. I guess he had a ton of excess playing waiting to get out! They are starting him on new meds tonight to control the seizures.

Thank you, thank you!</div>

<div>He had seizures. Yeah! (I guess yeah because they were able to document them.) His mom kept him up until midnight last night so that he'd be tired and have a seizure. This worked and he had seizures then brain activity during sleep. Another thing they did was put a strobe in front of him. Sure enough, after 15 seconds he had seizures.

I'm so happy because now they have some answers. The doctor is treating this more aggressively now and has prescribed another med for the little guy. His mom is hopeful that she won't have to keep him up so late tonight.

<div>I just got an update from my cousin regarding her kid (my cousin's wife = my cousin). He got into the hospital okay. Nearly kicked the needle stick guy while he was getting an IV. LOL I'm not sure if he meant to kick the guy or it was just a reaction.

Now he has a whole bunch of wires attached to his head waiting for him to have a seizure. And he goes everywhere with a little cable and pack. He is also very very very bored already. Hopefully the seizure happens soon so this whole thing can be over quickly.

Keep the good thoughts coming. Thanks</div>

My cousin's youngest kid is 7 years old. He is slightly autistic and has seizures. He is such a cutie and I can finally understand him when he talks. So I am very encouraged by his progress.

Now he is going to be admitted to a local hospital this Monday for 3-5 days of EEG video monitoring. The doctors want to check his seizure activity. Turns out his seizures have been getting worse over the last several months.

He is such a sweetie that I'm looking for strong positive vibrations to go towards him. And anyone who is willing is strongly thanked by me.

Conan the Librarian

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/negwa/blog/f8bb113d-60c0-4a9b-8ac3-1570165eb745">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/d15/811/d158118f-8cb1-431c-a6e9-19fc1e8ec488.thumb" width="55" height="78" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>This is the story of my picture with the half dressed, fully muscled, long haired fellow. If I ever knew his name then I have forgotten it. It just wasn’t as interesting as the man that held it. The story begins at a Kansas City Renaissance Festival Labor Day weekend…

My friends Mary, Kami and I have all gone to watch the Robin Hood/Little John show from a perch above the stage area. We are Gaol (jail) wenches on a break. Mary is willowy with long blonde hair, Kami is short with a Snow White beauty and I am the not quite as short with long curly brown hair. We have seen this show many times but never tire of it due to the short tunic and great buttocks of Robin Hood. It must have been a slow point in the show because we all started looking around the audience members and stopped at about the same time at this guy. He was tall, bare chested, loin clothed, mug-holding hunk with long curly hair. He reminded me of a hot barbarian from television. One of us mentioned it and the others confirmed that we too were staring at this vision, odd for the type of men currently working the faire. Then we realized that he was looking at us too.

So we zipped down to the stage area to get a better look at this dude. Sighted, Mary the bold walks over to meet the man and his posse. Kami and I follow happy at Mary’s boldness and a little embarrassed. He introduces himself and the lady and gentleman with him. He says that he was interested in the three beauties standing at the top of the hill and was happy that we’d come down to meet them.

As all of this is occurring we begin to notice the attention this guy is attracting. Then we notice the envious looks of the other female faire workers and a plan begins. We decide, not through any form of verbal communication, to walk around with this guy and enjoy the attention he receives and that attention we’d get being with him. So we take off minus his posse.

All around the faire we are stopped by curious female faire goers who just want to look at the man, touch the man, touch the man with a feather that one of us has or take a picture with the man. It’s thrilling. Soon we find out that he can’t operate without beer in his mug. We know this because as soon as he is finished with his beer he has to go to the pub to get more. Because of this we are at the pub quite a bit but no one complains. One brave female faire go-er asks us girls what the man is wearing under his loincloth. We tell her to look for herself. She asks the man if this is okay and he agrees. She then goes around back of him and lifts his loincloth…

No here is where I was either too shy or something because I don’t remember exactly what he was wearing. I do know it wasn’t much.

Much giggling ensues every time someone asks to lift his loincloth and yes this happens often after the first lady does it. The man is just loving life with all of this female attention.

During the weekend we find out that he works for NASA. He never says exactly what he does so it could be landscaping, janitorial, engineer or astronaut. It really didn’t matter because this was all about how he looked not about who he was and he was fine with it. In fact he asked very little about us. Mary became so bored she left us after about 1 ½ day. Kami and I continued on forgiving his boring-ness with thoughts of his looks.

We spent all three days like this. Hot man in a loincloth with two women on his arms and a mug of beer continually filled in his hands. Who could ask for anything more? I do believe that Kami and I blew off our Gaol duties that weekend. The guys in our group, who called him Conan the Librarian, weren’t so forgiving but the gals were and let us do what we wanted. We weren’t being paid and our shows were such that it didn’t matter who did them as long as they were done.

Now be clear…this is the sum total of what happened. No hanky panky occurred much to my regret.

A couple of months later I went to a Renaissance Festival near Dallas, TX with a different friend than was at the KC Festival. As it turns out Conan was at this Faire also. Perhaps it is his home Faire, I don’t know. What I do know is that when I saw him he was wearing the same loincloth, etc and he was playfully accosting two cute faire go-ers. I pointed him out to my friend and we watched him. I believe he may have noticed us staring. Later we passed by him and I couldn’t help but stare. He whipped around and yelled in my face something to the effect that he was busy and what was I looking at. Since I’d already had experience with him his blow hard act didn’t impress. I looked up at him calmly and told him that I was remembering the good times we had at the KC Ren Faire. He stopped looking so darn fierce (which wasn’t impressive) and asked me what I meant. I told him that I’d never tell, turned around and walked away. He yelled at me to come back a couple of times. I never gave in. My friend was nearly doubled over in laughter trying to keep up with me. I never saw him again.

Moral of the story: Just because he’s hot doesn’t mean he won’t forget you and scream in your face later.

<div>Wow! I am so happy or amazed or something because my profile pic has been on the front log-in page of Tribe several times. I know it isn't a big thing but kind of neat. It's probably because of the half naked, fully muscled guy standing with me.

I'm sure if I put a less interesting picture up then I wouldn't be near as popular. But that makes sense.

There's a interesting story that goes along with him. Perhaps I'll tell it soon...</div>

Super Therapy Cat

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/negwa/blog/200e6af2-4294-4eaa-80d8-9521b533dfeb">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/de0/269/de026910-2fba-4781-b1ce-ae00dd09ea09.thumb" width="65" height="62" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>I live with 3 cats so I have to take care of myself. A couple of days ago I fell down the stairs to my basement. My middle toe got caught on one of the steps and I found out that my toes do stretch apart. Luckily I landed fairly smoothly on the floor below. Unluckily my toe hurt like the devil!

So I'm sitting on the floor cradling one foot and screaming in pain. Next thing I know one of my cats is begging to be petted. Very soon after I noticed my first cat I saw my second cat, one I was thinking about training to be a therapy cat, had run down the stairs. I don't know what I expect a cat to do in this type of situation but what I didn't think was that he'd run down to me and then beg to be petted!

My friend asks me if I'm sure he wasn't trying to be a therapy cat and therefore trying to help. I'm not sure at all. All I know is that I'm screaming in pain at the bottom of the stairs with no one coming except for 2 cats who need to be petted.

So now I'm trying to remember to carry my cell with me whereever I go in the house. I guess if I do hurt myself and am unable to call for help, I'll have companionship!</div>

										<div>O = Overeaters

I went to my first weight loss group meeting tonight. They are a good group. They are light hearted and supportive. No one thinks that they are above the others and I feel comfortable enough to speak.

As I listened to them introduce themselves (it was my first meeting - the others had been there awhile) I realized that this is not something to do until I get the weight down. This is something I'll have to do until I've mastered the new way of eating or it will last forever.

It was then that I knew that I was in an "___________ Anonymous" group. I guess that's a good thing because it's my mind that I need to fix. If I can just change what I do when things happen that trigger overeating then all will be wonderful. I can do it!

On an up note...in one day I lost 1.3 lbs. Most likely water weight but 1.3 lbs is 1.3 lbs no matter what anyone says.

My dream...is to have the figure of Lynda Carter...ah what fun I would have!</div>

    </a>
										<div>I took the Special K challenge today. Lose up to 6 lbs in 2 weeks. Well since I took the ENTIRE challenge in one day, and one day only, I don't think I lost anything. In fact I may have gained a little.

LOL   Gotta laugh

Actually eating the entire box in one day means that I ingested 1,320 calories in cereal. Not to mention the rest of the food I ate.

Now I remember why I don't buy cereal! I eat it all in one day as a munchie.

Oh well, that darn temptation is gone. And let me tell you that the whole box is gone. I didn't lick the sack it came in but that's about it.

LOL

No more cereal.

I don't think the Special K challenge works when it's done my way. </div>

Your Q Score is: 13
The Q score ideally should be as small as possible, indicating maximum agreement among elements. However, even a tiny Q score may not mean optimal functioning, since all four elements may in fact be relatively undeveloped.

Your Primary Mythical Creature
Water Types
The main strength of the Water types is feeling. The second element indicates the most probable focus for this emotional expression.

Mermaid
Water with Air

Astrologically associated with Pisces and the Twelfth House

Mermaid types are warm and caring in a passive, receptive way. They are given to daydreaming and to contemplation, a combination that can make them seem curiously absent and fey. They are among the most unworldly of all the types. Despite this they have a strong ability for clear, rational thinking that can be startling. They seem to have a deep, intuitive understanding of the oneness of the universe. They have a desire to help the world at large and are acutely aware of and sensitive to suffering. This is partly because they do not recognize the customary boundaries between people, other living things, time, space, this world and the Otherworld. They are frequently psychic. They can be brilliantly original and highly creative. They are usually regarded by others as benign eccentrics or as plain weird.

Your Shadow Creature
Earth Types
All the Earth types have problems relating to productivity and stability. The weakest element indicates the main focus of these problems.

Wodwose
Earth and Fire

This shadow is beset by inertia and a feeling of hopelessness and stagnation. They are prone to depression linked to apparently insuperable odds. They exhibit an attitude of defeat that is betrayed by their fatalism and pessimism. They often find themselves trapped in a rut of grinding routine. They have no energy or sense of direction. They often alienate others because of their negativity and narrow outlook and because they feel anger and resentment toward them. Passive aggression is used to good effect. They are self-neglectful of their physical needs although they may binge on unhealthy foods and substances. The biggest obstacle of weak Fire is to overcome anger and aggression; the biggest obstacle of weak Earth is to overcome self-centeredness and greed.
