Breaking up is hard to do......

1) Just cut a track w/ Rob @ Serpico Studios on Thursday night, It's a freshie - like finished on Tuesday & has no title fresh - but it's got a great melodic lead bass track & dark lyrics of warning & self loathing. I like! Hopefully it'll make the cut for Soundvibes II....

2) Hosting the jam the last Wednesday of May, the 28th. As usual, @ The Royal.

3) Also in May, Rob & I will be playing a Benwell Lounge set for the amazing HANK AND LILY show @ Spiritbar Saturday May 31st. New songs & 33% more "give 'er"!

4) Also be on the lookout for THE EPIC RETURN OF SEAL HUNT, tentatively scheduled for SATURDAY JUNE 13TH @ FINLEY'S. We're sounding tight & have new, un-politically correct songs for your listening & dancing pleasure.

It looks like I'll have a song on the next Soundvibes Kootenay compilation. More details to follow. I haven't decided which song to cut, but a leading contender is "Why Worry"......it's catchy and cute girls like it!

Seal Hunt has returned! We're practicing every week, & booked for Friday afternoon @ Shambles. We'll probably have one or two shows before then, so keep your ears to the ground for more un-politically-correct-maximum-rock-and-roll.....

My next solo show is another Benwell Lounge slot for the Freeflow show next month. I'm working on some new songs & some tasty covers for your entertainment, as well as refining my use of "THE HARMONIZER". I love my new toy.....

Fri: As mentioned, started to feel pretty sickly leading up my show. Sweaty, feverish, a bit "tranparent" feeling. Took it easy on the booze - Rob was happy to "take care of" my drink ryder, and there was a grest crowd for my boys in Funkarelli.
They finished a blazing first set, and the Benwell filled up with denizens. I started my first song, then unleashed the fury of the new Vocalist pedal for the chorus. Great success!! Huge applause & hooting, everyone totally dug it! Made it throught the rest of my set w/ only minor technical errors - it's still a new toy - and closed out my set to great applause. Got lots of positive comments & high fives afterwards, a nice thing for a "new" audience & different room.

Sat: Woke up feeling like death + 1 degree. Migrane. Sweaty. Cold chills. Aching muscles. No appetite. This would contine for THE NEXT 6 DAYS. No outside time, hardly any food, & many many movies.

Today: Almost back to normal. Eating, had a coffee, spoke to real humans, I return to work tomorrow. My dance with The Reaper is over!

TONIGHT! @ SPIRITBAR! I'm playing a half-time set in the Benwell Lounge for my homies Arthur Funkarelli - it's their ten-year anniversary, & entitled "A DECADE OF DEBAUCHERY". Appropriate title, since we've shared many a sunrise - and other stuff - in the ten years I've known them....

The only drag - I'm REALLY QUITE ILL. I've had hot & cold flashes for days, & I'm light-headed. OH well. I've played through worse. May the Power of Rock heal my body....
