Here we are getting ready to move to the Azores. I'll be there for 2 years and I would love to share it with all. Does the idea of a weekend "Tribal Unity" appeal to anyone. Would any one want to teach workshops at the event? Perform at the event? A nice intimate event. I mixture of holiday and belly dance!?! We could plan it for about 14 months form now giving plenty of time... Let me know your thoughts on this. I have put a picture of the Azores above to entice.... :)

My true story .............Tribalondon on a Saturday

After months of practice, last moment changes, a few disappointments, tears, a lot of laughter, the loss of a troupe member and adding a new troupe member. The weekend rolled around... Tribalondon! We left my house on Saturday morning. Parking at Epping we took the tube from there. We made it to our motel with no problem. Taking a few seconds to rest we set out to find the venue. At first we walk about 10 mins the wrong way. LOL....after a nice (may I say... HOT) cop told us the right way to go we turned around, after walking by our motel again... we see Samantha Hasthorpe and then decided she MUST know where the venue was. So trying not to look like stalkers, we keep an eye her to find our way there. LOL I see Jesse right away. (yay! thank god!) She immediately scoops us up and shows us the ropes. Giving us our Performer/ teacher passes. Making us feel taking care of she sends us on our way... Off to our workshops. (But first we must eat) love Toto's cafe. My workshop was with Sharon / Drum Solo. (I really needed that one) It was amazing. After we finished with our workshops we went off for our stage meeting. Had a few moments to work the stage (to ensure we wouldn't fall off at the performance). Had some giggles with the other performers. (hi ladies) Nerves were high BUT everyone was excited and ready to show their stuff. Philippa is the women with the plan... She helps all to feel comfortable with what was to take place (which she does all night...perfectly…amen sister! Without her and Jesse I would have pee my pants a little) And then we are off to get ready. We decided to put on our hair and makeup at the motel to help save space back at the Venue. Next back to the venue (bearing a lot of funny looks on the way...hehehehehehe..I love it). We did a little waiting... But not much, everything seemed to be running smoothly and before we knew it was time to go on (we were up first! **gulp**) Taking a second with the troupe we grip each other’s arm take some deep breaths. And then... It STARTS.... were on stage... I'm thinking ......right ...leg..... left ...turn... turn ...did something fly out of my hair? smile...shoulders back....**yes** ...O, look there's my friend!...OMG don't let me fall.... and just like in a blur ..... Then it's over... months of work lead up to the most amazing 7 mins. Everyone is clapping..(We did IT!)...And I didn't throw up. It was all good... And ... we smiled :) After that we watched the other performers...(beautiful, amazing, stunning). Next we hang out at the party...... enjoying the good company of friends. Then we head back to the motel hang out as a troupe enjoying the moment. And then we sleep....ALOT! The end.

We had such a wonderful time. It was so great to be able to chill out and dance with everyone. Some people drove in from soooooo far I can't help but feel grateful because with out them this would not have been able to happen. So a very grateful thanks to Khalgani, Enceni, Moirai, Nicola Atkin and Barbara Henderson of Bodhaia Tribal, and Kimberly Mackoy. And to all those that helped out to make it easier on Holly and I such as Parvane, Kari, Kuni, Saphira, the Drummers, EJ the DJ and the best for last my mom *Candy*. A special thanks to Polstar*, Indogo and Liora for there time and thoughtfulnes. I would like say thanks and give acknowledgement to Holly for all her time and effort in helping to pull this together-she as been the back bone that brought everything into play.
