Need to Know

This Immigrant son of a Nazi, Schwarzzenegger, who's steroid abuse generated looks and subsequent Hollywood fame led to his election by an overwhelming majority of corporate lies and propaganda, has recently had the gall to announce yet another special election in California. At a reported cost of $80 million to the California taxpayer.

This time it isn't to blame Gray Davis for the rape of California by the Texas Power Mafia. This time it's to blame the California Nurses and Teachers for........well, I'm not sure what he's trying to pin on what he refers to as "special interest groups" another catch-all phrase invented by the right-wing pundits, which like the death-label of "liberal" which once meant one who embraces sensible, socially conscious, public policy which is good for more of the common weal than is represented simply by the next quarter's corporate bottom line and the endless hoodwinking of the American Public's future generation's financial well-being by saddling them with astronomical credit card debt in order to buy bigger, more gas guzzling SUVs. Although these are sins for which, if there is indeed a God, the Gubernator and those he represents will surely be punished by an eternity in the inferno of perdition, I am unwilling to wait for final divine judgment to settle the matter.

What if we got enough signatures to have a recall of the aaaahhhnolt. What if we got enough signatures to get measures on the ballot giving nurses what they really need. Is the public health worth nothing? What if we got enough signatures to give California teachers tenure after 1 year instead of the current 2, certainly long enough to determine if they can handle the job, and made their pay equal to that of their districts firefighters and police officers, certainly they are just as important to the safety and future of our communities.

The movie trailer of the fiction in which I find myself living would slow dissolve between the opulence of the 2 % of this country who own 98% of its wealth and the 98% on who's backs this immense wealth was generated and who's future generations have been mortgaged on.......the voice over would go something like: "In a world where a cartoon character can become Governor of California. Where public school teachers make less money and have lower job security than garbage collectors. One shining light emerges to fight the enemy of all that is good for corporate profit, the evil nurses and teachers. Gubernator III, this time it's just plain stupid".
