When I was 19, I was self-medicating for bi-polar disorder with sleep deprivation. I passed out once on I-5 and crashed into an 18-wheeler's trailer. I got out and hugged the driver, then in the dust on the trailer above my car I wrote 'NT '99' with my finger, after Marcel Duchamp's urinal readymade, and photographed it.

I love to talk, describing my experience and being theatrical. I am also a superb listener and I find that I motivate people to be animated and thorough in their speech towards me. I am very comfortable with people telling me long stories without interruption and I appreciate it when my conversation partner has a similar patience for me. I tell very animated stories to people I have chemistry with.

I am completely unshockable in conversation, and generally very sympathetic if not very appreciative of people who are (esp. self-identified) social rejects, provided they are not mean/violent, which most social rejects are not. I will never be condescendingly 'nice' to people who I think don't match up to some abstract societal standard, standards of coolness for example that most of the most physically degraded heroin addicts I've come across abide by as if it was the gospel truth. If you're 'cool', you've got your personal clothing and conversation/body language thing honed down to a science, good for fucking you. You're probably fun to look at and can't have an interesting conversation to save your life. I think it's totally normal to try to reflect your values in your personal appearance, I certainly try to even though I don't dress very well. It just really bothers me when people invest all of their identity into something that I can only engage with in the most superficial way.

I sleep in my clothes and keep nocturnal hours when I can. I'm pretty messy too.

I spoke in a convincing British accent while attending my fourth high school and had everyone convinced I was a foreign exchange student.

As a music recording engineer I have a good understanding of the high subjectivity but extreme relevance of 'fidelity'.

I am rarely attracted to women (a curse!). I like flirting with and sometimes kissing gay men but no more than that.

Most of my friends are either culturally Catholic or Jewish, but I'm a Puritan at heart.

I appreciate Dayquil induced religious experience.
