I've been hanging out with nicko since january. he answered my ad looking for a drummer to start an experimental alt-rock project, and was the best fit. he showed up at my house one afternoon, we proceeded to make very very loud noise and drank i don't know how many PBRs. we decided we were friends, and are supposed to know each other.
such a well spoken lad, a brilliant writer and conversationalist, and no complaints at all about his drumming. he puts up with my weirdness, and has so much patience.
we have no idea what we are doing with this band. slow steady progress, and lots of fun in the meantime.
nicko rocks.

Ah..what can I say about Nicko? I've known him for years and our lives have intertwined in ways that neither of us could have imagined. And through all of the changes, I am only now really coming to grips with what a treasure he is...

I don't know why I do it sometimes. I feel like a complete phony. I have no idea what I'm doing in this job or why I'm here. I've got the shittiest part of it, and I could be invisible for all anyone cares. I mean what is this? Why do I do it...

Abundence...

I think I love Autumn the most. Or Fall, I mean. I have such a tremendous sense of abundence of everything this time of year, it makes one very care-free. Example: I've got a mountain of work to do today, and here I am blogging. Ahhh..

And she's in San Francisco. Right now. And we're gonna have coffee. Holy sweet JAYSUS.
Oh, and I've applied to join a jazz band. WOO HOO! And another rock band WOO HOO (x2). And I've fallen in love with the drums ag...

So I guess it can be looked at as my fault. Which it is. I've alienated as many people as I possibly can and fallen flat on my face with any musical project I've shown interest in.
Top that with the animosity I'm facing at work with my co...

Maybe it's coz my birthday is Oct. 1st, a very definite kind of birthday date. Not some wiffle-waffle July 14th or November 11th, but Oct. 1st...Like when it arrives, so does Autumn. And it got me thinking of how in Irish the month of October is calle...

I was almost in tears at the combination of the vision of so many wonderful, secret, untold things and simple music. I feel like I've just had a vacation...and that I need to buy a camera.

The bottom line? Self-expression: the outward expression of our inner selves in a manner that is (even vaguely) intelligble to other human beings.
But with all my obsession with creation, with nature, with human interaciton, what do I create? What am I contributing to the cesspool, the creative well of ideas? Sadly, NOTHING.
But I'm s...
